Visited for a quick lunch of toasted sandwiches and coffee and service was great. There is also a courtyard with regular music events. The ladies are lovely and service is impeccable.

Was visiting the park which is a little gem and called here for drinks etc Thursday 21st April 2022. Sat outside in a lovely little courtyard being entertained by a chap on a guitar and singing. reasonable choice of food and drinks and at a great price. Everything was brilliant as was the customer service

Called in to this park to be told it was closed for cleaning at 11.30. Group of ladies sat outside all drinking coffee. When asked why they had been served the manager replied “They are the reading club”???? Great way to make profit as refused 2 others that were with me. Come here a lot but will use the other cafe from now on!

Everyone is very kind and serve you promptly. The food is delicious and the portions are very reasonable. They are also wheelchair accessible which is a lovely feature of them.

Lovely coffee and cake! Nice staff who bring your food and drinks to your table. If it's a nice day there is a pleasant courtyard to sit in.

Always visit the cafe for a coffee after I've been Nordic Walking in Frodsham Park. The staff are lovely, especially the young man who brings the coffees to the table.

Castle Park is an oasis with beautiful gardens and a great children's play area. The Arts Centre is in a former coach house and this also houses a tea room with seating inside and out. We have visited a couple of times and although it looks like a good option when entering the courtyard, it turns out it is run by volunteers which may be the nub of the problem. There seems to be no sense or urgency, little organisation and customer frustration caused by the time taken to prepare one sandwich (35 minutes), tea made in a mug with the teabag already in, and orders being brought out to people who ordered after us. Also, the home made soup advertised on the menu was "off". Altogether, not run in a businesslike way.

Birthday treat for afternoon tea. Put us in a room on our own so I asked to be moved to sit with everyone else dining...which they did. Sandwiches brought out on saucer sized plate then another plate with cakes and scones. I asked why not served on 3 tier cake stand as she gave some poor excuse as to cakes might melt so they don't use them hower other diners had them! They forgot to bring the strawberries and cream and champagne we ordered. Waitress was moody and unhelpful and we had to go into bar for a cocktail as they were now shutting!! Huge amount of money for poor food and service. Never been back!

Have been going to this cafe for years and have always received excellent service and food, the staff work so hard yet always manage to be friendly and have a smile for you, the food is great and really good value for money.

The Woodland is close to Ellemere Port Hospital and serves for much of the day. Usual "Stonehouse" fayre. Very pleasant member of staff who checked for allergies and carried our drinks to our table as I am dodgy on my feet. We took advantage of the offer of two meals for £11.75 from a reduced menu. Pleasant food, but nothing special, except the price.

We went here for food as the brewers fayre is closed for refurbishments at the premier inn we were staying at. The food was terrible, if it wasn't for us being starving after a full day at Chester zoo we wouldn't have eaten it. Wasn't expecting top of the notch food for the price but was definitely expecting much better than what was served. Everything looks to have come out the same deep fat fryer which seemed could do with a oil change, one of my children's starters was veg sticks which were so dry and looked like they'd been prepped the week before, the others a "garlic bread starter" was two slices off a cheap garlic baguette. The staff were lovely and the place was clean so probably a great place for a drink, just wouldn't return again food.
