The best restaurants serving British food in North East

I LOVE the Dean wrap! Grilled chicken, cheese,lettuce, ranch dressing on a spinach wrap. Went at noin, super busy..but got meal in about 15 minutes. 50s style..Marilyn Monroe..but super tight.

We asked on arrival what time they closed so we could come back for something after our walk, were told half 3/4. Got back at 2:50 and they were closing up despite us and other customers wanting to be served. Met a very disappointed gentlemen outside just after they’d shut. There is a sign to say they may shut early due to the weather, but when it’s very short showers between long spells of sun, and you have customers wanting to be served the weather shouldn’t affect the closing time. Felt like they just wanted to go home early. Wouldn’t go back as you can’t guarantee they’ll be open.

The food is not ok not impressed. The price is fine for what it is. The location is excellent, next to the river, the view is great. Sitting by the waterfront is so relaxing. The restaurant is upstairs, highly recommend sitting outside the balcony area if the weather is nice and sunny. The view is gorgeous.

Excellent stay, food and staff were so lovely. Would definitely come back again, the owner Alan is such a lovely warm man telling us the history of the place.

Best American styled burger I have in the UK. It taste like home.

A fabulous experience & well worth the visit , the ambiance & staff on arrival was perfect , followed by a delicious 2 course meal we had oysters, craster kipper terrine , rib eye steak and sea bass , excellent menu and superb cocktail list , we cannot wait to return

Fantastic for an overnight stop. Big clean spacious room. Food in restaurant very good indeed. Breakfast was all a bit of a muddle, due to staff shortages I believe - hopefull this will be resolved.

20 minute wait for a cup of tea. Had to chase, was just given a crap excuse about being busy (they just forgot our order). Won’t bother next time.

Una vez más una comida brillante y bebidas servidas por Dan que estaba en el lugar. 5 adultos, un niño y un niño pequeño, todos tratados de manera eficiente y profesional. Una pequeña mezcla con 1 comida tratada de manera muy rápida y eficiente. ¡Muchas gracias a todos por hacer de nuestro raro encuentro un éxito!

Lovely place to eat. Staff very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble.food very good portions and very reasonable priced. Kid friendly. Highly recommended.

Buscando un lugar para desayunar, miramos varios lugares de la ciudad. Durham tiene un montón de lugares hipster que sirven el mercado "Surrey Up North" para la tarifa. Pero queríamos algo más real y Northumberland! Así que lo intentamos aquí: no nos decepcionó. Un muy buen inglés completo, huevo, tocino, salchichas, frijoles, hongos, tostadas y té fresco. Pero no fue solo eso, fueron las sonrisas y la amabilidad el orgullo por su café lo que destacó. Nos sentimos relajados y bienvenidos. ¡Vamos a volver, seguro!

Visité aquí para cenar con amigos. Este pub tiene un ambiente acogedor encantador. El menú es pequeño, pero es bueno ya que sabes que vas a conseguir platos de calidad excepcional. Recomiendo encarecidamente el suflé de queso y el bacalao salado. Ambos platos eran divinos. Sin duda volveré a visitar pronto!
