Visited for Sunderland Restaurant Week (3 courses for £20). Our first time visiting but won’t be the last! Lovely cosy atmosphere, themed around Alice in Wonderland. Decorated really quirkily, with some really interesting pieces of Alice art. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, taking the time to come to chat at the table. The food was so, so nice. Beautifully cooked and well presented. Not a bad thing to say about this place. Already looking forward to next time.

The food was absolutely outstanding and they even had a GF Yorkshire pudding! Staff were lovely as always bloody love this pub/restaurant!

Hemos estado aquí un par de veces y por lo general tener un rato agradable. En esta ocasión las patatas fritas estaban duras y demasiado cocidas. Las comidas fueron por lo demás satisfactorias. Un grupo de hombres entró en la zona del restaurante y se mostró ruidoso. Gritando y maldiciendo. Se utilizaron explosivos y en la conversación con el personal del bar fueron ofensivos. Ese lenguaje no debe utilizarse en público. Teníamos la intención de quedarnos a tomar unas copas, pero el comportamiento de estos clientes y el personal nos hizo salir.

Second visit as had enjoyed a previous visit with a friend. However this was meant to be bit special as friends birthday. Negatives balloon I had taken earlier to be on table was not there had to ask, had to move a chair as we were squashed on table for 4 and was 5 of us, ordered one type of lager on arrival was different one entirely, meal took nearly 1 hour to arrive, and 2 of them were tasteless the Gyros, meat ws dry lacked the tzasiki dressing had to ask for more, what made it worse was one of the gyros was for Birthday girl, We did voice our disappointment but other than apology that was it. Positives My meal and 3 other diners once arrived were lovely, the male member of staff assigned to our table was lovely and friendly could not do enough for us even saying manager would come over re poor meals but it never happened. They did all sing Happy Birthday to birthday girl which was nice. Overall I think far too many people in for kitchen to cope with orders sadly...

Has an absolutely brilliant lunch out with the little one! Got served by Mandy and she is an absolute credit to the team, will definitely be back again!

Absolutely incredible service from start to finish, in particular want to thank Franco for his exceptional customer service so friendly, polite and ever so helpful and informative an absolute asset to the place. Food was delicious highly recommend the chicken lemonado incredible.

Cuando había como una familia de cuatro, estar antes bastantes veces sin ningún problema, pero esta vez yo y mi hijo tuvimos robo, patatas fritas y rodajas extra de queso y aros de cebolla más su dice ensalada. Ambos ladrones no tenían salsa y les faltaba queso extra. Los ladrones de la foto se veían muy bonitos, los que conseguimos eran muy delgados e insípidos. El personal es genial, pero dudo mucho que volvamos.

Servicio brillante, desayunos increíbles muy acogedores. Nos alojamos por 2 noches sobre la carretera 13 de nosotros y disfrutamos de los desayunos masivos! lroces muy razonable también

Lovely pub but really disappointed by the female member of staff serving who blatantly ignored us waiting patiently at the bar and deliberately served others who clearly arrived after us. Poor attitude and the pub deserves better quality of staff than this. Walked out and went to Tin of Sardines down the road - proper and fair service....

Very convenient for anyone travelling on A1. Although located in an industrial estate, this is anything but industrial. The tea room is beautifully decorated and gives you a feeling of Alice in Wonderland tea party. The food is great and fresh. We will certainly be visiting here again!

I am reviewing the casino. We waited so long for Grosvenor to reopen this casino. It was fantastic. managements welcomed us. All staff greeted us. I can honestly say this casino has the best staff ever and we have been to quite a few up and down the country. No matter how busy they get we are always treated with respect and staff are always courteous. There are many a casino could learn a lot from Sunderland. Covid precautions excellent. Made us feel safe and secure totally understood our anxieties.All wore masks and constant cleaning, Cant praise them enough. thank-you.

Booked for my son's birthday for Sunday lunch. Absolutely beautiful food! Pink beef and belly pork 10/10 and I had rubarb crumble and custard and it was delicious! Great portions and the staff are lovely. Definitely recommend we will be back.

Well worth a visit, do really nice food, band nights on Saturdays, games nights on Sundays, Quiz and bingo Thursday and cheap nights Mondays. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly. As you can tell we go often, oooh and the beer and drinks are really reasonable!
