I am reviewing the casino. We waited so long for Grosvenor to reopen this casino. It was fantastic. managements welcomed us. All staff greeted us. I can honestly say this casino has the best staff ever and we have been to quite a few up and down the country. No matter how busy they get we are always treated with respect and staff are always courteous. There are many a casino could learn a lot from Sunderland. Covid precautions excellent. Made us feel safe and secure totally understood our anxieties.All wore masks and constant cleaning, Cant praise them enough. thank-you.

We had a lovely meal and a drink on the cinema deal this is our second visit and well worth it staff are friendly great night all round

Best thing about it is the free drinks and free car parking - so pop in here to get your ticket stamped for Sunniside car park.

We came for the cinema deal for £12 we got steak, lager and cinema ticket for 30! £3 supplement for the steak. Better than some restraunts ive been in. I could eat it again. Our waiter ben was very attentive and helpful. made us feel very welcome

This is our first time doing the cinemas deal and we did not have a clue what is was or how to do it. Our waiter Ben helped us and showed us what to do, he was very helpful and lovely. More people need to know about this.

Went to Grosvenor Casino for their cinema deal, meal, drink & cinema ticket for £12. Amazing food, brilliant staff (we were waited on by Deivid) & amazing value for money, we had goats cheese & beetroot tart & the double burger & I can tell you they tasted as good as they look!

Great place to visit. If planning a cinema meal deal out. For £12 you get a bar meal free drink and the cinema ticket. Great for couples or just going solo. Excellent service by Alexandra.

Had a fab meal at casino tonight to celebrate birthday 🎂, really attentive staff especially Deivid couldn't do enough for us. Meal was the best one in all the time we have been coming here.

Excellent value for money with the cinema deal getting food a drink and a cinema ticket all for £12. Chris and Deivid were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely food pleasant staff eat here often always happy with service will continue to visit. Crispy pork noodles absolutely lovely. Prices reasonable. Just need to start winning on the slots and roulette now..... come on!!!!!!

Firstly you should only ever go to a Casino for entertainment - not to win. The casino is decorated well but is a bit dark inside, I've never been in a casino so dimly lit. They offer food and have a 2 for 1 offer...

four of us ( mature couple ) went to see the comedian that was on Saturday 2nd July, he was brilliant we started off with a lovely meal as always tasty and good choice on menu served by Jennifer who is always pleasant .after the meal we moved nearer to the stage to get a better view of the comedian, my friends decided on cocktails as they were on offer 2 for1 my husband went to the bar and unusually waited ages to get served when he asked for 4 cocktails the barmaid didn't look too pleased ( we didn't think anything about it at the time ) however when we had finished them we ordered another 4 and lovely they were. went to the tables to play and were on the tables for well over an hour we decided to go and get another drink we met our husbands at the bar to be told the barmaids would not serve us not reason was given to our husbands and had they been rolling over drunk or being loud and rowdy i would have been the first to agree, my husband asked to see the manager ( John ) and really just to get a answer as to why we couldn't get served , John has to stick up for his staff ( who were hiding at the end of the bar ) john did listen to us but we decided we would leave and and would not be returning . as we were leaving we asked the receptionist for an complaints form which we did not get our taxi came and we had to leave, there was also another couple who were complaining as they had been refused by the bar staff, my friends husband did say to John the manager that the bar staff didn't always understand what we were saying and all John heard was( racism ) which i can promise we in our group are not and have never been racist . i am sorry we didn't see the lovely Rachel or Inga last night just to wish them well , as we wont be back.

First and foremost the food here is amazing, after a night out is this always the last place i call so i can have food, there is different theme nights and deals on there social media pages BUT its always worth going just for the food

All round good night. Food was lovely. Service was a little slow but they were very busy. Will return no problem. Rachel was very pleasant and welcoming. I shall certainly go back.

Just had order the stake and it was cooked to perfection I've have always had a sport on meal from the casino staff was all fab and polit over all I would defentily high reconnmend it!

Visited in August last year for Robbie Tribute night and was very impressed food excellent service impeciable and the offer of a little betting as well.Booked up for NYE as well and the 5 Course meal, bet, 2 glasses of bubbly and a tribute act for £35 was an absolute steal.Keep doing what your doing, comes highly recomended.Well done to Events Manager Sarah and her team.

First visit to the Casino for me and the wife and our friends, and what an excellent evening! The food was excellent as was the overall service, the staff were brilliant and they seemed to be having as good a time as ourselves.They really made the evening a hit...will definitely be back...Happy New Year!

6 of us went for new years eve George Michael tribute act we had booked restaurant for 4 course meal all of us enjoyed our meals ( there was plenty to choose from ) after dessert there was cheese boards we had glass of bubbly on arrival and a glass of bubbly to see the new year in we all got a free £5 bet to use on the tables George Michael was brilliant as were all the staff in the casino , must mention Sarah Rachel, and Jennifer.

Having arranged to book last minute and not being for a little while we were once again not let down. Booked the day before a family Birthday and had a lovely warm welcome from the staff as always, Rachel always makes it a lovely personal experience. The table was decorated with balloons and confetti, a free drink for the Birthday Boy, a card and a bottle of prosecco. We opted for the 3 courses and as always the food was second to none, the prawn cocktails for starters were delicious and well served, the burgers were lovely for main and the hot sticky toffee prune dessert was devine. Will most certainly be back and will gladly recommend - especially for special occasions - will be returning on Christmas Eve!

I recently visited the casino with my girlfriend for the cinema deal. Which at £12 for food and a film in the words of David Dickinson is cheap as chips. I had steak which was cooked perfectly and the salted caramel tart is to die for. I'm not a big gambler but I had a few games on the blackjack table. I hadn't played before so I asked the dealer for a helping hand which he was more than happy to do so. I actually left a few quid up. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. From the reception to the waitress to gaming staff. A bit of a flutter some food and then a film all for £12 is a cracking deal. James Bond in Sceptre was decent too. I had an overall great night and I will definitely be back and I've been telling all my friends about this deal. Keep up the good work.

We prebooked a table for 3, we did say it was for a birthday. When we arrive d at the casino, we were shown to our table, it had balloons, and was decorated in foil decorations, what a lovely touch. The waitress was so lovely, looked after us very well. You can choose from a set 2 or 3 course meal, or choose from an extensive menu. We chose to eat from the set menu. The food was excellent, well presented and hot. What a lovely night we had. Rachel the restaurant manager, and her team always do an excellent job, she always takes the time to come and say hello, and make sure your visit is a very enjoyable one.well done to you all.

went to casino on Saturday 10th October and once again we had a brilliant night , 6 of us had a meal and the choice is really good with the food being very tasty 3 of us had Cajun salmon and when it arrived a big chuck of salmon chips onion rings mushroom and tomato there was plenty on our plates and it was delicious my husband had the sea bass with rice and he said that was lovely and 2 others had steak cooked to their liking and they both cleared their plates, once again thanks to Rachael who greeted us and took us to our table and the waitress ( sorry I've forgotten her name ) she was very helpful .on arrival we received a free bet unfortunately none of us won but it was fun. you do have to be responsible when betting and know when to walk away we set ourselves a limit and walk away once its hone if we win its a bonus , thanks once again for a good night looking forward to new year eve

Went to the casino last sat , for a meal - we got served by jennifer - who was very helpful and very bubbly , jolly , jennifer was great with recommendations with the food - she knew her stuff , the food we got which was starters , main and desert was loverly , all nice size portions , tasted great, will be going back for more food - noNeed to book a table just turn up n you are seated straight away

Had the best gammon I have ever tasted cooked to perfection, the staff were very friendly, they were very helpful as I have just moved to the area. Advised me on what to do on my stay. Also very knowledgeable on the alcohol they served, was pleasantly surprised at the upbeat atmosphere. Was expecting a dungeon like place but the staff brightened my night up.

We have eaten many times at the Grosvenor Casino restaurant. The steaks are good value and cooked extremely well. The chef recognises us now and knows our steak preferences! The service is generally good and Rachel the Hospitality Manager is first class. We are always made to feel welcome and valued customers.The menu is standard within the Grosvenor brand and I have only given 4 stars instead of 5 because of this. The chips aren't my favourite but there are options for sides and the baby roasted potatoes are good.They are running cinema meal deals too Monday to Thursday and this is good value.

Myself and a few friends booked a pre cinema meal and it was absolutely brilliant from the starter to the dessert. The menu had changed since the last time we visited (Dec 14) but the waitress was really knowledgable and recommended some great food.The staff were really friendly and couldn't be faulted, the whole experience was great. Absolutely recommended; quality food and quality staff.

A fantastic deal for us £36 for the two of us, a three course meal, plus a drink each and a £5 pound bet each. great night here great food served by lovely friendly efficient staff. good choice of cocktails and on special six different makes of rum. a flutter on the tables and then a tribute act Beyoncé. I believe the tribute act deal is going to be repeated once a month.

I visited the restaurant and bar and the service and food was lovely. I would recommend the venue even if you're not into betting. It's much more than that.
