This is a very pleasant pub serving a wide variety of food. The quality of the food was excellent. The pub has a fulll range of entertainment, including karaoke on a Friday night.

A large crowd of us booked in advance a table as we were in the general vicinity of the Wolseley and genuinely found the staff and surroundings very pleasant. The food and drink were fantastic with a large selection of premium lagers such as Peroni etc . The food was a true delight and can only state it was your typical pub grub but this was fantastic pub grub at that , also homemade cut and cooked chips ..absolutely brilliant and everyone of us were delighted . So bottom line is if your looking for the best pub grub out then look no further than here ....fantastic!

We often come here for Sunday lunch. It is always really busy but the waitress always finds you a table. You do normally have to wait 5 or 10 mins but it's worth the wait. The Sunday carvery is delicious. All fresh veg with roasted and mash potatoes. As many puddings as you like and delicious gravy. The meat is plentiful and so tender. Great value for money. The only negative is when it's really busy it can feel a bit cramped but nobody seems to mind as the food is great. Give it a try I don't think you be disappointed.

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch today the Wolsey ROKER they serve homemade chips & corn beef pie, I enjoyed peppercorn sauce think slices of beef served with fresh vegetable and it was served nice and hot and very large portion size at a great price too. The Staff were very helpful and kind this venue is so clean inside and well maintained - we will definitely be going back very soon 10/10 outstanding.

We stopped by without a reservation on Sunday at about 2.30pm. The place was packed, but staff were friendly and took our name for a 10 minute wait. The carvery was delicious. Large portion of meat (4 types available) with roast and mashed potatoes, chunky carrots, mashed swede, cabbage and peas. Yorkshire puddings were like homemade and not limited to one each like other carveries! The venue was a lovely inside and was clean and good looking. If we lived closer we'd be back regularly. This was a very pleasant experience. Under the pressure of the volume of food being served /eaten the quality was great and the staff performance and attitude above expected. Thanks guys!

My wife, daughter and I went for our tea there last night, the service was spot on, the food was lovely and the portions were huge. The only fault i could pick was that my wife ordered her steak rare, it was bit over cooked. Wasn't worth the complaint because everything else was great

We called on the off chance for lunch and were not disappointed. Home made food, pub faves and tempting desserts. A lovely atmosphere and great outdoor space. Definitely recommended.

Food was lovely but I have discovered upon returning home that I was charged £4.50 for some hot water. My friend and I ordered Earl Grey and a Peppermint tea with our food. I ordered a second cup of E
