I’ve been here many times before and I will definitely be coming back again! Henry served us our drinks and gave the most excellent service and also gave brilliant recommendations!

Llegó en la mañana 0930 Nadie se molestó en abrirse. Cansado de llamar sin respuesta. Esperé un rato. Desperdicio de la mañana

Had a great lunch in the Magpie club today. It was lunch with Santa. We had really good food and I loved the pink roast beef. The Santa experience was nice too. The service was also lovely it felt like lots of the servers were new to it. So I mention these things as a little more polish would help. Four examples; table was set for bread but no bread was served and we had to ask for ours after the starters were delivered. Other tables were then sorted as a consequence. Second, we ordered tap water for the table with our drinks order and had to ask again at main course (the server was most apologetic). Third the menu said garlic bread with cheese as a kids starter and we got garlic bread. I pointed it out and all garlic breads after that were then cheesy. We ordered a cheese course and it came without biscuits a knife or butter. These things didn’t spoil our experience in the slightest but if they were sorted then it would have been a much smoother experience. We will definitely be back as the food, ambience, service and experience were all good.

Ye Olde Fleece is a fantastic local pub that offers a decent range of beers and can be found on High street in Gateshead. Ye Olde Fleece was one of several pub's in Gateshead that we visited and had a beer on tap which we haven't had in a long time which was McEwan's beer. Ye Olde Fleece itself is a joy to go to as the pub has a good atmosphere with nice staff and friendly locals and well priced beers. With a traditional pub interior and brilliant seating options throughout the whole pub interior and its a joy to visit especially of a Monday as it was very lively. When we visited we had a pint of McEwans dark beer which I haven't had in year's but it was fantastic and well priced at £2.50 for a pint. This is a superb pub and well worth visiting and very easy to find from High Street bus stop it's a short walk.(This is my first review of Ye Olde Fleece). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-11.00-23.00. Friday-Saturday-11.00-00.00 Sunday-11.00-23.00. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

The Old Post Office is a very lively pub that offer a well priced range of beers and was one of several pub's we visited in the Byker district of Newcastle. A proper local boozer that was really busy when we visited early in the afternoon and packed to the rafter's with many watching the horse racing and having a few pint's in this superb local boozer. The Old Post Office is unmissable as it has a Red Post Box as a pub sign and this pub has a red painted exterior. The inside has a traditional pub interior and superb seating options and we had no trouble looking for a seat. When here we had a Strongebow brewery cider which were very refreshing on a very warm day and well priced. The Old Post Office won't be to everyone's taste but I like pubs like this as they are full of local characters and local pubs like this are slowly disappearing across the Uk and whenever we get a chance we alway's visit these pubs as they bring me back to when I first started drinking in pubs. The Old Post Office is really easy to locate from Shields Road-Edwin Street bus stop it is a short walk.(This is my first review of the Old Post Office). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.00. Friday-Sunday-10.00-00.00. Nearest Bus Stop. Shields Road-Edwin Street bus stop.

The William IV on High street is a local pub in Gateshead that offer a decent range of beers and was one of several pubs that we visited on a day out around Gateshead. A solid old style boozer that is housed in a traditional pub style building'the interior is again a traditional pub interior with lots of good seating options and an outside area at the back with extra seating options. I don't know why but I adore going to pubs like this as it brings me back to when I first started drinking many years ago and most of the pubs I visited where like this. This pub was very busy when we visited as where most pubs we went to in Gateshead and when here we had a couple of bitters from the John Smith's brewery which were well served and priced. This is another superb local boozer and is well worth visiting as the staff were friendly and they offer a well priced range of beers and is very easy to locate from High Street bus stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of the William IV). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.30. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.30. Sunday-10.00-23.30. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

We didn't realise when booking that this was part of the Premier Inn (so effectively like a Beefeater). We waited 45 minutes to receive our drinks which came at the same time as our meal. Everything was so over priced and underwhelming. The chicken souvlaki was dry and tough and at a cost of £20.50 is embarrassing. Our bill for four people cost £140 (one round of drinks and a main meal only) which was outrageous, the service was terrible, no one acknowledged us and the food was sub standard at best. We didn't dare order another drink as we'd have had to stay for another 45 minutes! The website and menu price gives the impression that this is a top quality steak restaurant, which I can wholeheartedly tell you it is not!

Cracking pub. Can be expensive compared to your spoonses but its about right for the toon. Pool tables upstairs and plenty tellies for matches

Popular, well used convenience store and takeaway on the main road through Otterburn. Stocks just about everything you would expect in terms of provisions and household supplies. Prices are what you would expect for a convenience store in a fairly remote spot. We have stayed in accommodation nearby (twice) and find ourselves popping in most days. We have always received nothing less than a friendly welcome from whoever was behind the counter. The real gem is the takeaway food, which is cooked to order, with generous portions and very competitively priced. We enjoyed superb fish and chips, as good as any chippy (and better than many) and really lovely pizzas- the family deal is great value. Thank you.

Didn't eat. However had a cracking couple of Guiness before we went to see a show. Great place.
