The best restaurants serving British food in Middlesbrough North East

Only went on lounge so can't comment on big room but what I encountered was smashing. Very nicely set out and extremely pleasant place. Excellent service and very efficient staff.

Great service with a smile and good food Pool table available. Most people drinking there were staying over. Great parking facilities. Close to takeaway shops too. Local ALDI down the road

We had breakfast here one morning. Being with young children unfortunately their preference was for McDonalds!! There is no self service buffet during this time, but breakfast was cooked to order and served at our table. Bread was individuallly wrapped and we could toast it ourselves and tea/coffer was self service, There was a one way system marked out round the restaurant.

Bit disappointed as milkshake was only filled halfway; gutted due to price. Food was fine but cold.

We had a wonderful afternoon and a lovely lunch. We booked in advance and the team went that extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic vegan Sunday lunch. Thank you!!

Easter Sunday. Had a few drinks and fancied something light to eat. Was recommended “Nachos” by Jackie. Nachos were on point. Thanks Chef Chris…the love was noticed. 🥰

It's what you would expect. Service was good, no long waits, the food and drink were decent too. The steak flat bread was very tasty.

Forgot food order. Let me order more drinks. 40 minutes later ... sorry chef has forgone order. Sooo. I guess eat at greggs

What a gem of a place! We hadn`t been for many years and had dinner last night, April 5th, and it was excellent from the moment we walked in. We had a very warm welcome from a young man and our waitress was just lovely, I`m sorry we didn`t catch her name but she was fabulous. Food was exceptional, my husband had the rump steak and it was cooked perfectly medium rare, I had the hot shot parmo and our son had the regular parmo, both were amazing, nice chips too and very reasonably priced! The whole place is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, but the food and service are outstanding here. Look forward to returning in the next few months!

I would highly recommend a wander off either the Cleveland Way or C2C to this unique pub. Wolfgang and his staff work hard but casually to make your visit as good as can be. We arrived about 6:30 to a warm welcome and fabulous home cooked food. On a Monday night there were just walkers in there sharing experiences making it convivial. Breakfast is ordered before you go to bed so it can be efficiently served and then Wolfgang offers to transport residents back to the path. What more can you ask...visit it.

Visited today with my sister and two children. Staff wonderful very friendly. Even put baked beans in a container so they didn't touch the rest of her food! Two parmos (Groupon) and two drinks - excellent food

Ordered a tuna and salad bun and got next to no tuna and the salad was just shot in. Took one bite and binned it, won’t be rushing back shocking bit of service.

Worst service ever .. rubbish portion of garlic over price … pizza undercooks … hairs in my food .. would not recommend at all.. drinks all ice no liqueur
