Me and a couple of work colleagues met up here for a few drinks and a bite to eat how very disappointed we were the other two had cheese burger it was so small with about 8 chips I had fish and chips it was a bit of batter about 4 inches long and a inch wide it was more like a chicken strip but I had about 10 chips lucky me definitely not worth the money.on the plus side the beer is a bit cheaper

Nipped in to The Swatters for a quick drink while wandering around Middlesbrough's shops. It was busy, with it being a Saturday afternoon but the pub was pleasant enough. We found a table and settled with our drinks. The food coming out of the kitchen looked good enough, though we were only there for a quick break from the trauma of shopping. The pub was a typical Wetherspoons, everything in it's place, tables in need of a wipe, long walk to a bog, the usual thing, same everywhere. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our brief visit.

I have been here numerous times for breakfast and Swatters and their brilliant staff always deliver. Nearby parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays. You have to go early if you prefer to sit in a booth, but there are always tables avaliable early morning. Service is always fast and friendly. I have tried the full breakfast, American breakfast, Eggs benedict which was cooked to perfection. The food is always hot and delicious. They have great Vegan options too. You cannot go wrong with weatherspoons and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Looking forward to my next visit already!

Lunch on the way to The Titanic exhibition in Middlesbrough at the Swatters Carr was a real treat. I asked the kitchen not to char grill or burn my chicken and they obliged with a lovely succulent half chicken with mash and gravy. The member of the kitchen staff I asked was polite and really helpful and a credit to the Wetherspoons brand. My lunch partner had a burger which was also delicious. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere with what seem like happy customers enjoying their afternoon. Definitely a good spot to spend an hour and eat. 👍

Typical Wetherspoons, cheap and cheerful, food was ok, thatchers gold was on form as always, if anything the place needed redecorating, but there’s not much point when there was so many students in.

We visited for drinks recently with friends. Good Service and atmosphere. One of the better Wetherspoons we have been in.

We enjoyed our food and sat having a drink but my goodness it was so loud, people were laughing almost screaming then a table of men and women came in and it was worse. It's not the restaurants fault but although we enjoyed the food we had to leave, it was far too noisy. Sorry guys, would come back if in the area.

Overheated and manager rudely stated it was cold so wouldn't open door or lower heat. Everyone was complaining as to how hot it was in there. Dirty tables overflowing with glasses. Dirty bathrooms.

Due to a very late arrival in Middlesborough on a Friday night we were somewhat limited as to eating establishments. With some trepidation we fell back on the trusted Wetherspoons and decided to give the Swatters Car a go. The place was heaving but the friendly security staff advised us that food was still being served. Fortunately we managed to find a table in a relatively quiet area. Our order was processed very efficiently at a very busy time and in no time at all our food was served. Hats off to the staff for doing such a good job with the place so busy.The Wetherspoon menu is somewhat limited compared to days gone by but a lot of the usual favourites are still there. They also have a good selection of beers. The food was decent and certainly filled a gap. The vast majority of people present were drinkers for a Friday night out in downtown Middlesborough but to be fair the overall eating experience was decent and better than anticipated.

Some of the bar staff came over to me and accused me of causing a scene in the pub a week ago. however i wasn’t even in the pub a week ago which i find very bad considering i suffer with bad anxiety. They should make sure they know who exactly was causing a commotion before they accuse people.

Great experience, we sat outside but staff made sure track and trace forms were completed. Friendly staff, will return.

It is what it says on the tin, but the staff are pretty hard to beat, all things considered. The manager is one of the best pub managers I've seen & works hard at keeping the place in order. All the nonsense about all the staff getting fired to work at Tesco - every single one of the team of about 30 can be seen again on the floor after lockdown... so that was all woke hysteria. We come here often because the prices are unbeatable, the meals are the same standard as most pubs in Teesside, just better value when you factor in the added drinks deals. And the staff are better than in a lot of other places too. So there.

Absolutely disgusting service from Lee!!! We moved tables didn’t realise we couldn’t and Lee came over asking what table we were from so abrupt and intimidating! I asked if we could stay on the table to which he said we couldn’t and said because we had moved we now didn’t have any table in the pub. Everyone surrounding was gob smacked at his response. He was stressed, which we are understanding of in the current climate but it was literally unnecessary when nobody was on both tables. Was portrayed as though if you haven’t done as your told you’re out. We are key workers, we qued for 25 mins! I explained we had already ordered drinks to which he then said it was fine he would refund us! Pointing us out to staff stating DONT SERVE THESE 2. How disgusting!!! And when I asked him why he was being so awkward he proceeded to tell me ‘don’t get arsey with me’ as he would make sure I didn’t get in any bar tonight in Middlesbrough. I am absolutely gob smacked !!! Mortified and disgusted at the service. He would not allow me to complain to anyone senior. He absolutely made a scene and embarrassed the pair of us. To the point where some of our friends we knew in there also left as they were disgusted.

Not one of my favourite JDW. Absolutely packed, so obviously popular with the locals, but way too busy for me. Jostled by customers, a long wait to be served and no seats. Staff handled the crowd well, and were good humoured. Good choice of beers

Had lunch, chose steak and kidney pudding with mash, peas and gravy - The mash was so solid and thick it could have been used to build a foundations for a house. The pudding had clearly been microwaed and was tough, the meat (what there was of it) was full of fat and gristle. The gravy came in a teeny tine gravy boat and consisted of approx 4 teaspoons worth of gravy!! As the mash soaked up all the gravy I was left with a totally dry meal. When I requested more gravy I was told that they had to charge me for anothere tiny gravy boat 30 pence!!! What the bar staff shouldhave done, if she wasn't sure, was to consult the manager not insist on charging me 30p despite the meal being as dry as bone. Weatherspoons need to train theri staff in hopsitality because there i svery little at present. I wasted time and money on thet disgusting meal and it was the first time I had eaten there so I am not revisiting after today. The other meal my son had included vegetarian sausages - they were also inedible. They were almost whit ein colour, tasteless and had the consisting of wet cardboard - not good for vegans at all with very little choice.

Grate place to start your day or night cheap drinks and food... the only low point is no big screens for the football scores or game

Couldnt fault it, nice food, quick service, ordered on the app so got discount. Was quite a few of us had to move tables as we couldnt book. Thought drinks expensive for a wetherspoons but enjoyed the mix grill better than the drive through burger i had before. Went large which was about 11 pound and was very filling. Staff very polite.

Main issue was the toilets. Phlegm and crap on the toilet seat, piss all over the floor, no toilet roll till I asked a member of staff who shunned me off and made me feel like an idiot for asking. Got Sunday brunch and my drink came in a dirty glass with lipstick stains on it the beans were cold the table was sticky just an all round s**t experience really... deffo won’t be coming here again lol

My family normally go to the endeavour for xmas meal but there was something on, swatters is the back up I got drive through burger which was only a drive through burger as it was wrapped in foil. Was nice though and filling and I like the way it tells you the callories on the menu. Everyone had different meals, good service and value for money. Good pub grub.

Came this morning for breakfast. I work in hospitality so know what’s expected. Everything apart from the sausage was cold. Egg was overdone ad poorly presented. No check back on our food and only one member of waiting staff, so just ate it. Was only asked how our food was once we’d finished. Was offered a dessert, but at 10:30 in the morning, that’s not something I’d want.

Now the only Wetherspoon’s in Middlesbrough. Traditional this pub was much more student orientated, but now seems to attract all crowds. Always busy over the weekend for drinks as is so reasonably priced. This is the first time we visited for breakfast.Breakfast menu exactly what you would expect from a Wetherspoon’s. The food was really tasty and brought to our table super quickly. A small orange juice is actually more than half a pint, so much larger than expected! All hot drinks are free re-fills from the help yourself machine near the bar. Prices are very reasonable as per usual Wetherspoon’s; we ordered 3 full cooked English breakfasts and drinks for just over £15.We arrived 8am for opening, as surprised that there aren’t any breakfast options earlier than this in Middlesbrough town centre! So had our choice of seats, we sat comfortably in a booth at the back. The restaurant appeared clean and tidy, as were the toilets (at the back past the bar). Service was fast and friendly, we would recommend for both food and drinks.

Come in here often drinks but haven’t had a meal here. Decided on a panini but didn’t like any of the fillings so asked if I could have a wrap filling but in the panini. Not only was it no problem but the southern style chicken in a chipotle mayo was delicious. The chicken was cooked really nicely, the coating was tasty, the mayo had a nice spicy kick and the panini was nicely toasted. Washed down with an alcoholic drink all for less than £6. I don’t know about the quality of the rest of the meals but I can highly recommend what I had!

Met up with friends prior to shopping trip. Brilliant menu items and great friendly staff. Gets cold inthe afternoon when the sun dropped mid afternoon.

Visit here regularly, lovely pub, friendly staff and a great place to eat or drink with family and friends.

Typical Wetherspoons town pub but the staff make it special. Friendly, knowledgeable and curtious. Well done to all. 10 out of 10.

We went here in a Saturday afternoon around 1pm an got a seat straight away we ordered our food an drinks an waited we only waited around 20 mins for food which is good with 10,8 an 6 year olds would definitely recommend

Cant fault this branch of 'Spoons. The staff, on the whole, are efficient and at least act like they want to get your order right. Some are even friendly & smile - quite a feat for a pub in the UK! The food is as good as any other similar pub in the region, but with more competitive pricing. The drinks are brilliant! Change from a fiver for 2 spirits & mixers or 2 pints (obviously depending on what you drink, but the range is wide) - you cant go wrong! Being on Linthorpe Road the people watching is fabulous darling! If you want to spot wild animals in their natural habitat and enjoy animal print then this is the place to go! Dr Livingstone would have a field day in here. On a more serious note, the manager Lee is spot-on & the rest of his team are fab, which is why we keep coming back time after time.

Efficient staff, good portion sizes, varied menu and generally well-cooked food. Often busy at lunch times, but the wait is never that long.

Drinks and food are so so cheap but still amazing quality. We were here on the evening of the champions league final to find somewhere that wasn't too busy so we could watch it on our phones. Place was still quite busy but food and drinks got served very quickly and i couldnt fault it.

My boyfriend goes to uni here and we’ve always been in here for drinks because hey it’s a weather spoons and who doesn’t go in there for cheap drinks? It’s always clean and friendly in there! However this time we went for food to try the new pizza menu and it didn’t disappoint large portions for cheap price! ( always includes a drink)!

It's a decent pub, great location and a good place to start if you're going out in Middlesbrough. The pints of Heineken are decent.

Been quite a few times now. Great very time. Lots of seating and a great atmosphere. A good Weatherspoons pub. Lots of variety on the menu and great selection of drinks. Great prices as well. I would recommend to everyone. Can get very busy.

Popped in for a beer and bite to eat , found a table and we ordered a couple of drinks and a pizza using the app , drinks came quickly although it was very busy , very polite man brought them , pizza came before half an hour had passed nuce and hot and very tasty . Very good service brilliant staff

Have frequented the Swatters many many times since it opened. It’s never been great but acceptable for a quick tea. Tonight after a 45 minute wait (and then only when complained twice) we were given a lukewarm burger, less than half a pot of Tennessee sauce and freezing onion rings. Complained again to get hot onion rings. Brought burger home for dogs. Finally agree with all that say Wetherspoons are garbage

Came here for breakfast with a couple of friends and it was absolutely awful. The staff got our order wrong, we asked for vegetarian breakfasts and they came with bacon and regular sausages. When I told the waitress she just stared at the plates for about 30 seconds, trying to work out which piece of food constituted meat. After what I can only imagine was a bacon epiphany she simply said, "oh yeah", and took our plates back to the kitchen. No apology necessary, pet.

Came here for a Sunday lunch catch up with family . Some staff at bar very sociable and served well . My father ( 83 years old ) ordered food but wasn’t asked what drinks he wanted with the order ( they are part of the deal ) . When I went back to question this - you should have asked at the time .... no sorry you normally ask ?!? The food came .. thrown onto table .. cold .. and the 14oz steak medium rare .. cremated !! Very very poor / this place has gone down the hill massively!!

This is a decent Wetherspoons in a good location for the town centre and University. It's one of the better examples of the chain, clean and with decent service. I had the Thursday night curry deal which came promptly, was hot and while not the greatest curry I've ever eaten was perfectly acceptable and good value.

While staying over in Middlesbrough for work purposes earlier this month, we needed somewhere for a meal & a local told us to try the Swatters Carr.

Not bad for a drink or two. Can hear yourself think. Start out here a lot. Heard bad things about the food and management though from previous employees

Swatter's Carr is my local Wetherspoons and it's definitely a pub you can rely on. The nightlife is also good fun. It's always busy and a great place for a simple pre-drinks.

I love wetherspoons for breakfast and this place certainly didn't disappoint clean friendly and nice food My only problem is there is not much option for vegan/vegetarian My daughter was disappointed there was no smashed avacardo and the porridge had milk powder in it She did however get soy milk hopefully the menu will update soon Still for me an excellent cheap breakfast

Had a night out there the other week with my family. Staff where great and helpful, the food was superb as always. I would definately recommend the Swatters Carr to anyone wanting a quiet and peaceful night out with family or friends.

The Swatters Carr is a success story following a number of previous ownership failures over a number of years, prior to the Wetherspoon brand putting their stamp on it. The pub has a great atmosphere is popular with young and old alike. Great food and drinks (including real and guest ales etc) at great prices. A courtyard style outdoor seating area at the front and ample room inside as well. Staff are always friendly and helpful too

A few weeks ago I showed a member of staff crystals that were in the bottom of a glass of chardonnay i had purchased she tried pouring more but they were the same. She told me it was due to the syrup in the lines crystallizing. I eventually settled for a glass of pinot. I have returned today to find the same issue and as the chardonnay was the only house white they had I have had to purchase a glass of the only white wine they do by the glass that is not on tap. I would have thought that the issue would have been dealt with by now but obviously not

Good place for a pint or two. You can hear yourself think. Heard things from a previous member of staff about the way the food is prepared that have made me reconsider pub grub for life. Nothing particularly untoward just corners being cut.

It was busy (and a tad noisy) when we visited, but there were still plenty of tables available. (The building is a bit tardis like, and almost certainly bigger on the inside.)

4-5 February. Came in both nights to eat and drink.After checking out other places in Middlesbrough. This place is a very good example of Wetherspoons at its best.Naturally vast choice of real ales.staff keen on letting you taste them. Food as with all choice wise.but speed of service and presentation excellent.staff very motivated suggesting good local management.Environment superb.good research done by company in relation to surrounding area and middlesbrough in general.Including a photo of my wife's great grandfather.who was the main benefactor of the university here. Definitely worth a visit.

My experience this time was much better than I thought it would be. Not as scruffy as I thought it would look. Much neater and staff were friendly. Great choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere.

Have eaten here many times. Food has always been tasty and well cooked. Ordered an Indian on curry night, poppadums were hard and slimy. Nan was cold and rock hard. I made a constructive criticism that the food was not acceptable. The waiter returned, apologised and said the food had been rushed. The plate was left uneaten... Even though the food is cheap it has to be edible. Wetherspoons buck your ideas up

Decent priced booze and good vibes. Shame when it's busy that the only standing area is around the bar, which makes it seem twice as crowded and difficult to get to the bar. Everything you'd expect from a Wetherspoons.

Called for a bite to eat as we were visiting nearby. Saying it was Awful and bland would be too generous. The beans and eggs had no taste at all and must have been the cheapest they could buy. The bacon had some taste and was ok but the sausage was tasteless too. Won't be having that again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Yuk.

Visited this pub on a Monday night , pub was quite busy we got a drink from the bar . Very good service from a happy barmaid. Decided to eat in there I ordered cod chips mushy peas and curry sauce , my mate ordered a burger deal in which you get a free drink included . Food arrived quickly and was piping hot always a good start . Food was excellent good fish batter spot on not greasy , mushy peas and curry sauce a nice addition . Really good size portion . My mates burger didn't disappoint he said meat was tender and well cooked , chips very good . Both meals tremendous value for money . Definitely well worth a visit

Table 26 1330. A first time turn out to this extremely clean and well cared for pub/restaurant. Used the ordering app for a second time for faultless ordering. To be served by very professional and outstanding staff ie; manager and leader. We definitely return. :-)

Family gathering to say goodbye after a weekend together - this was a terrific venue on a Sunday morning - lots of options at great prices with favourite being the vegetarian breakfasts great sausages! - and the endless refillable coffee - quick service for a party of 20 people - everyone was on the road in good time..

Called in last friday primarily for their fine selection of real ale being a Wetherspoons, was tempted by the place mat offer of fisn and chips for £6.99 with free pint and was surprised how good it was. generally I find fish and chips in a pub not very good but this is, we ll recommended and the pub features an old turnstile from Ayresome Park with old Boro photos too, shame they do not honour the Boro's old Linthorpe Road ground which was directly opposite them

We went for the all day Sunday Brunch yesterday , it was really lovely and great value for money , the staff are all helpful and really polite .It's nice and clean too, will be going again.

After having a pint or two and contemplating in the Isaac Wilson, another Middlesbrough Wetherspoons, my colleague and I chose to walk to the Swatter's Carr. It was a slightly better venue and a Wetherspoons we had not previously visited. I did however notice that the menu was slightly different (didn't have the 10oz ribeye steak) and the steak night meals were £1 dearer.The chicken wings and 8oz sirloin steaks were however up to a very good standard and served in the right order. I suspect that Wetherspoons are eventually getting the hint that starters come first. The staff in this Wetherspoons were excellent both in their table and bar service. Excellent food, excellent value (but not sure why dearer that Sir Isaac's) and served well. Thank you.

We had the unfortunate experience of eating in this bar last Friday (23rd June)We had gone out as a group of 10 and the majority of us chose to order the fish.One persons Fish was totally raw and could probarbly have been brought back to life with a slight massage, (battered Sushi).The other fish that were ordered had totally burned batter with very little fish enclosed.Out of four orders of fish not one was acceptable.We felt uncomfortable complaining at the time but feel that the bar and the public need to be aware of the poor service that we were given.

My friends and I go to the swatters most Friday evenings last night my friend who has Parkinson's was refused to be served so i went to buy her a drink but was refused as they said my friend was staggering and drunk I explained that she had Parkinson's and spoke to the management who where very dismissive they said she was drunk and I said I had more to drink than my friend but to no avail so I went to buy a drink but was refused as they said I wasn't getting served as I was going to buy her a drink as well. I was told that no one at the table was allowed to be served. I spoke again to the management and explained my friends condition again but he insisted she was drunk just because her disability is not obvious I found his manner very rude. I think that the management and bar staff need to attend customer service training and this should include some information on how to identify people with Parkinson's. We won't be going back as we are all totally and utterly disgusted

We visited here as a family of 3 for lunch, as always the food and service were great. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. Great choice of wines, beers & spirits.

10 of us met up at the Pub for a quick drink before & after going to a restaurant. There are plenty of seating areas and an outside beer garden. The staff are friendly and efficient and the selection of beers is quite extensive and well kept.We will go again next time we meet up in Middlesbrough.

Visited Monday teatime. Lovely atmosphere and great weather meaning we could sit in the outdoor area which was pleasantly full. Staff kept in top of keeping tables clean and were both friendly and professional.Ladies toilets could do with a bit if a revamp to make this a perfect venue.

We often pop in this pub for lunch . Today we went for lunch and Thursday is curry day . We got two lovely curries with rice 2 poppadoms and a nann bread . This was only £6.65 each and included an alcoholic drink . The service was quick the staff lovely and the food was nice and hot.

We come here a lot for drinks but tried the food recently and it was very satisfying! Cheap food with very good chips and hearty burgers. You can't expect top notch fine dining at the prices they charge but it was hot tasty food and enjoyed it. For drinks in the evening there's no music but cheap drinks, plenty of space to sit down and when a double gin and tonic is less than £4 How can u complain!! Places up the road have more character but charge u an extra £6 per drink for it!

We are regular visitors to Swatters, usually for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The staff are fab. You can't go wrong with a Wetherspoon's pub and you get exactly what you are expecting, decent grub, cheap booze and friendly staff!!!

Being a fan of the wetherspoons outlet, I have been disappointed with the other establishments in Middlesbrough, we thought we would give this last one in the town a try as it was closer to my daughters uni. This is much more professionally run, with tables cleared, table checks done and staff friendly and polite. Meal was great and it's restored my faith in Wetherspoon.

we havent been to swatters for a while so we decided to go for lunch on monday we had the fried buttermilk chicken burger deal and we glad we did £5.75 each with an alcoholic drink the chicken was lovely and large, chips were excellent and it was all piping hot and we didnt wait long so we will be back a very enjoyable meal keep up the good work

I don't eat at pubs as a rule, however I visited this place due to a downpour and although the vegetarian options were sparse what I did have was very nice and the hot chocolate was delicious

The bottle of Trevento Malbec was absolutely disgusting. I understand you pay for what you get. This was the costliest red wine on the menu at £12.29 a bottle.. HORRID. So I wonder what the cheaper wines taste like.????. Brought this to the attention of a barman and asked to see the manager who replied the manager was not around (nobody responsible on duty)Wetherspoons buyers have no idea what a good quality wine is , Wetherspoons need to get theiract together and provide GOOD QUALITY WINE IN SWATTERS CARR.. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL what they are selling at the moment ....or better still ...don't sell it at all !!! This is not the fault of barstaff.

So it is a Weatherspoons but do not knock it. The beers are varied and reasonably priced, there is a decent range of gins and white wines of which we partook as part of this visit. Did not eat this time but the food looks good and for what you pay is good value. There is a good mix of clientele and an excellent atmosphere.

Back in again for a couple of drinks. As always this place is lively with a good mix of different customers of different ages and styles. The beer choice is excellent, a decent range of gins. We ended up having a steak and a burger with a drink for each of us and all for under £20. Great service, decent food and pretty cheap. Service was quick and efficient whilst being polite !

Stumbled across this spoons while out for a walk looking for some food. Though the street has a lot of places to eat. I find it comforting to find one of these, especially on Steak night. The offers are very difficult to beat and the variety of beer is good too. the staff were friendly and although it was busy it was not long to get served and get the food. All in all Good deal. well done

I come here quite regularly and really like this place, BUT...I have noticed in the last few months the standard of the clearing up and cleaning has slipped massively and I have had to go to the bar and ask for the table to be sorted. I also noticed that other people were moving dirty dishes and glasses from one table to another and the plates were just piling up! I don't know if this is because of bad management and/or training, but surely, if you work in a bar, you should notice these things.... it needs sorting out!

Returned to this pub for a lunchtime meal after having a drink many Saturday nights ago. My wife and I went for theThursday curry special price £6.49 including a drink, I added a couple of extras which pushed the price up a little bit more but still excellent value. I had the lamb curry my wife went for the vegetarian option,both with a nan bread and poppadums,all with calorie counts along side. I washed my meal down with a nice pint of beer,my wife had a glass of wine. The curry was fabulous,no oil floating on the dish which I find on some Indian curries and very tasty, highly recommended. This was a special for Thursday but have these on their menu other days of the week,with other special meals on other days of the week.Their full menu has great choices very reasonably priced

Okay it is a Weatherspoons pub so expected good beers (which it does), good service (again it does) and decent food (it does this - decent food at a decent price). My wife had a steak which she enjoyed whilst I had a burger which was okay. Beer choice and pricing is excellent - we will be back for a cheap night out !

I usually visit this place for breakfast when it's quiet. Really cheap, unlimited coffee til about 2pm. Range of breakfast options, I like the sausage or bacon buns.Opens nice and early even on a Sunday.Visited Saturday night, packed out, waited long time to get served but still got a seat.Do non alcoholic cider and lager and a massive range of alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. It's a weatherspoons pub so set menu, bit scruffy in daylight, don't need to dress up.

Was sick after eating a bbq hog burger with chips and 6 small onion rings and paid extra for coleslaw which was a massive mistake. Will definitely not go back again.

It's good value, not too expensive. A good place to meet friends and chat. The food is not too excellent but it's good to fill up your stomach

Been here quite a few times, only had a so so meal once, mostly it's excellent. The main draw is the real ale!I was pleased to see that the veg sausage and mash is back on the menu (having been disappointed when it went). Decided to try a new addition to the menu, veg lasagne. It's usually a not very exciting and predictable choice for veggies and there are so many poor lasagnes in pubs however, that was not the case here! It was delicious and tasted like it had just been made - ----Compliments to the chef! Great value, only £33 for 4 people with drinks!

Spent quite a lot of evenings here as our hotel didn't really cater for all our needs. Establishment was clean with budget prices.

This was the posh-est gin I've had at a Wetherspoons pub! Friday night was busy but not over crowded. Great for cheap drinks before heading off elsewhere.

I had my usual Eggs benedict, with coffee. Every time the chief nails the recipe, The muffin is perfectly toasted, the ham juicy, the eggs, poached but the yolk dripped when I cut it ans the sauce perfect. In this case, "As always" means keeping the perfection in the standards. That applies to the coffe and the service.

It's he usual weatherspoons reasonable prices and great selections of beers. Food is fast and there is outdoor seating.

Good value food and good service. I often go to Swatters with my family and friends because I know what to expect.

This place is great to sit outside of when the sun is shining. Always busy. The food and drinks like any other wetherspoons is cheap but actually pretty good quality considering. Great place for a few drinks with friends, or somewhere to eat on a budget

Visited Swatters multiple times as it is a Wetherspoons so great value for money and never had a problem. Myself and others always start nights out in Swatters as it is a good place to chill and talk. Swatters offers club deals every day of the week (excluding Saturday's) and it's one of the cheapest yet appealing pubs in Middlesbrough. It gets very busy on weekend evenings however, so if you plan on actually dining there on a weekend night I would highly recommend either going early (before 8pm) or ringing to request booking a table. The staff are always friendly and the food wait time is very minimal. Only recommendation I could make would be to fit an air conditioning system as it gets very very hot in there.

Back again for a couple of drinks and decided to have a meal. The wife steak was good and the chili burger was very tasty! In addition a pint of beer and a glass of wine for less than £20 - bargain !

Came in today there was one taking food out the other two were on there phones not what you expect from a wetherspoons. Shame
