We visited the champagne bar last Saturday for an early birthday day out . We booked for the bottomless brunch . We were unsure about the price as it was a little bit more expensive than other places but my gosh was it worth it. Itâs probably been the nicest bottomless brunch I have tried and all 6 of us girls agreed. The drinks were amazing , cocktails were all made from scratch . The food was also delicious! I am a vegetarian and there was so much option. Special thankyou to Jhan for making us feel very looked after . She made sure we always had 2 drinks at the table and was lovely . She also assured us that our time did not start until we all had a drink and once we were done we could finish our drinks in the pod which was lovely so meant we didnât have to rush . Thankyou so much , we had such a great time â„ïž We will definitely be returning and it was well worth the money đ«¶đ»

Oh dear, we have just been for the Sunday carvery for the first time after reading the reviews & we definitely will not be back, we were so disappointed. PROâs Free parking Easy place to find Friendly staff CONâs Some of the seating area was too close to each other, but we understand when pubs are trying to make as much money as possible in this day & age. Between us we tried 4 different meats & they do look as if all of the pre-sliced meat is reheated, as the meats we had were curled around the edges. The turkey was thickly sliced, but tough to chew. The lamb was sliced very small & was very tough indeed. The pork, again was a tough chew with very little taste. The beef was a much softer slice, but did have a sour taste to it. Itâs the only carvery weâve tried where you canât help yourself to your own roasties or cauliflower cheese. The rest of the veg did leave a lot to be desired & one veg we couldnât ID. Gravy was a lovely consistency, but again, not much taste. One of the syrups on the cold drinks machine also seemed like it needed to be changed or it wasnât mixing properly. None of these comments will come as a surprise to anyone working in the pub, as they will have noticed the amount of food left on our plates & drinks left in some of our glasses. Such a shame our experience was so poor, as it does seem like a friendly pub, so maybe if you only want a drink on a Sunday, this would be a nice place to visit! Shame it spoilt our personal Easter Sunday lunch trip out, but we did cheer ourselves up slightly when we popped in to Greggs for lovely cream cakes & really nice coffees.

Had our brothers wake yesterday. The buffet was amazing, great value for money. The staff were fabulous they really helped us give Bob a great send off. Thankyou so much we will def recommend The Bay Horse upstairs room with bar to anyone wanting a small private get together. It was FANTASTIC

Popped in for drinks on a night away and I wouldnât return. The place was dark and lacking atmosphere. The barmaids were in an abundance compared to the amount of customers on a weekend. The barmaids were chatting about the lack of their sex lives speaking so loud using absolutely vulgar terminology mainly about how they hadnât been touched by their partners in x amount of days and others saying how many people theyâd been with in that weekend. The chatting was very loud so the whole bar could hear but mainly entertaining 4 old/drunk lonely customers around the bar. Not a wide selection of drinks it looked like they were waiting for an order that was late. Really not our cup of tea at all no wonder it was dead with more staff than customers. If you think conversations like that are appropriate for all audiences you probably shouldnât work with the public. Iâd have liked to say it was just the younger staff talking about such matters but an older lady in her also involved.

Love coming to Hatch, we often get a coffee and Bacon Ciabatta to go and sometimes sit in. Never had a bad experience, food is always delicious, service is great. Buttermilk chicken bowl is one of my favourites, popped in today for scrambled eggs on sourdough and a coffeeâŠgreat coffee, great food, great place!

Didn't eat so can't comment on food Service pleasant. Atmosphere was welcoming. Guinness was good. Decors a bit tired but it's clean and overall a nice local pub

Myself and husband live local to this pub so decided to have a Sunday lunch out as a treat. Pulled into the car park, plenty of spaces so that was a bonus straight away. Went into the restaurant, we were greeted by a lovely polite lady, was asked if we had booked a table?, explained we hadn't , but that wasn't a problem as we were seated immediately. We struggled to decide what we wanted to eat, but husband decided on the 3 meat Sunday roast, I opted for the steak pudding, it was advertised with mash ,but they were more than happy to change it for home made chips for me. I have to say the portions are more than generous, hubby's Yorkshire puddings was ginarmous!!. The food was served piping hot, lovely tender meat and vegetables had a tiny bite to them. Could not fault it. Throughout the meal we got asked if everything was ok, very attentive polite staff. All in all a superb meal at a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Be very careful using the car parkâŠplay it safe and pay the parking. Have a system to put in your reg. Didnât work for me and got a ÂŁ180 parking fine. No one at the pub interested or wanted to help get it cancelled đ

Good overall - just felt sorry for the 1 bar maid behind the bar, and the 1 waitress who was taking food orders, bringing orders to tables, clearing tables, seating new arrivals etc. This ultimately impacted how long it took for us to place a food order, and then receive it. 1pm on a bank holiday Monday should have more staff on shift! Otherwise, a great pub with good food and lots of choice on the menu! We will return!

Love going to the Duke, the staff are so friendly ,attentive ,polite and professional. The surroundings are lovely, clean and with a peaceful atmosphere and the views especially from the outside terrace on a warm day are perfect . I think however it's about time the menus were changed, the food is always beautifully cooked and served but a new menu would enhance the experience.
