We had a delicious Sunday lunch today so tasty . Everything you need . Portions size is fab . Thankyou to Sharon and her lovely staff .

This was probably one of the best Sunday lunches I've had. The small was fine for me and the large portion my husband had was huge. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even popping up the road to the shop for strawberries for me as I am lactose intolerant and they didn't want me to have to sit and watch my husband eat a dessert when I couldn't have one. There was a good choice of traditional desserts. If you let them know in advance that you have an allergy /intolerance they will make something you can eat. I definitely recommend eating here.

Wandering around amble looking for a place to eat that wasn't over priced. Thankfully a lovely local woman recommended here. Food is excellent. Large portions and all four of us really enjoyed our meal. The beef baguette was exceptional. Good value for money highly recommend.

But my dear friends, hold onto your monocles because The Dock's breakfast is a masterpiece. I mean, the Full English Breakfast here should be framed and hung at the Louvre. The sausage is crafted with the precision of a Swiss watch, and the bacon! Oh, the bacon is like the elixir of the gods – if Zeus had a favorite café, you bet your bangers it would be The Dock. The genial staff, meticulously curated by Sharon, serves you with such professionalism that even the most austere British butler would blush. And talk about their attire - I’d say it’s Downton Abbey meets Breakfast Chic. I once saw a waiter rescue a spoon mid-fall like a ninja. I’m sure there’s a secret service training camp back there somewhere. And you know what, folks? You don’t have to take just my word for it. The folks of Amble have spoken, and they say, “The Dock is simply the best.” (Read that in Tina Turner’s voice, please). At The Dock, you're not just getting breakfast; you’re being inducted into a sacred Full English Breakfast fellowship. This family run restaurant never fails to impress with their delicious freshly cooked meals and huge portions. Our party of seven were able to book the day before even though they were very busy. Nothing is too much trouble all with a smile and friendly chat. Thank you for looking after us so well

Popped in on a Wednesday Lunchtime. Good choice of food, including all day breakfasts. Starters, Mains & Deserts The Good Lady chose, Haggis tatties & neeps, available with either whiskey sauce or gravy, she chose gravy. Whilst I was torn, I finally plumped for Mince, dumpling, chips, carrots and peas. All homemade fayre and delicious, piping hot. Even the Haggis is “local” from Greens of Long Framlington. The dumpling was light, crisp and scrumptious being baked rather than stewed. Fantabbydosy food served by lovely local lasses. Give em a try. Popped in here on Sunday morning for a veggie breakfast which was reasonably priced and really delicious. The staff were really friendly and the place felt really nice and well looked after. We’ll definitely be back! The one thing I would say is that we nearly walked straight past as we didn’t see the breakfast menu outside- there aren’t many places serving breakfast on Sunday - I’d put a big board outside if I were the owners as a good breakfast like this shouldn’t be missed! 😊

Visited after reading a recent review and was not disappointed! Food was fresh, homemade and delicious! The staff were amazing, so friendly and couldn't be more attentive! Dog friendly and yes my dog Webster definitely gave it a waggy tail! Definitely going back to try breakfast next time!

We ate lunch here whilst visiting Amble. Bit unsure as seemed to be only customers, but decided to give it a go. The food was quite nice, but quite pricey for what it was. Staff quite friendly, but didn't check to see if we needed more drinks or if food okay. The menu had a lot of choice though and the place was clean looking.

The Dock Hotel is quite unpretentious from the outside, being on the main shopping street (Queen Street) of Amble. However stepping inside you can see the care and attention to detail in the decor. It is relatively small but in a pleasant way and not cramped. A feature is the fact that you can see into the kitchen and the obvious cleanliness of the establishment Called in for breakfast and what a feast. I had the large breakfast, which is really huge. The food was all piping hot. Bacon was lean with no fat whatsoever. Sausages were excellent. In fact it was all high quality food. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was all cooked to order and worth waiting for. I didn't realise there was a beer garden until I read the last review, so will try that on my next visit.
