Food was hot but egg was burnt first time I've had not nice food

Food was quite nice. Varied menu. Waited absolutely ages for food though. It seemed quiet but I think there were quite a few outside. Would definitely go again.

Really nice food for the price, nice venue however the management could be more friendly. I visited with my elderly grandmother and she was very bluntly and almost aggressively refused a children’s portion- which she comes here weekly and orders typically with no problems. Could improve on attitude for sure.

The food was bad I disliked the mash as it tastes vile.Sausages were okay got the Sunday lunch delivered it's one star because half of the food doesn't taste right theash tastes like the ready made one .

Friendly staff and great food. Decent size with plenty of seating, pool table, dart board, and more wide screen TVs than you can shake a stick at. Loads of outdoor seating. Also has a private function room. Ticks all of the boxes.

Not a friendly welcome. Salt and pepper pots encrusted with old food. Vinegar cloudy and full of disgusting deposits. 🤮

Very nice place friendly staff. Went with my family got the three meat 🍖 Sunday lunch the meat just melted away when you ate it beautiful.

They have really upped their outside experience with I would say 4-5 times the space outside than inside, nice play area for the kids. The inside has had a decent upgrade as well and the food was awesome.

Always a good night. Very busy, and good atmosphere. I have had food previously, and it is also delicious.

Ordered a Sunday lunch for the first time from here and it was very nice. Was delivered well before estimated time (20 mins and it was at my door). I couldn't eat it all and there was plenty of meat. Well worth it.

First time I have visited the station but very disappointed. Just moved to the area & was hoping for a good local pub to visit regularly, but the DJ playing this evening was awful, if this is what happens every weekend I won’t be back.

A bit of a longer wait time than normal as order was delayed and time updated. However once we got the food we were pleasently surprised. The pizzas I'd rate a 7.8 but an easy 8.5 if it came straight out of the oven. The pulled pork meat was gorgeous and succulent throughout. The scotch egg was amazingly tasty, it's hard to ever get a runny yolk at any take away let alone a scotch egg. The meatballs tasted of actual decent beef. If the timeing is improved I can see this restaurant being #1.

My wife opened the door and politely asked if dogs were allowed the staff responded rather rudely no dogs allowed. Will never return ,such a outdated attitude

Had a meal here when I found a large piece of plastic in my lasagne. Barry (whom I am assuming was in charge at the time) came and was most apologetic and offered us a free bottle of wine with our next meal when we came in. We went in last night 28/12 and was refused a bottle of wine by the manager. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere. Won’t be going back.

Often has live music and when it does it gets very busy otherwise its your standard decent pub. Very cosy in the winter and come summer there's plenty of outdoor seating areas and of course the obligatory smoking sheds. There's a fair range of beers at the pump and the more exotic bottled lagers and ciders kept in under counter fridges. Darts and pool players are catered for and there's plenty of screens for the big sporting events. Handy parking outside and there's two ways into the entrance one way you'll pass the old Gas board the other way you'll come upon the railway barriers and if they're down you could be there awhile!. All in all a pub that has everything you'll need including a menu of classic British fayre so no reason to go else where really.

The Chorizo scotch egg is probably the best scotchegg I’ve ever tasted and the pizza was lovely. Thank you 🥰

Nice pub grub, abit underwhelming for the the total price.. id say summoning my inner food critic that there was just a little something missing - the burgers werent like some specially dedicated burger place type burgers but they were still decent enough. The home cut chips were really nice.

I worst customer service I have ever received got dirty look from staff when I asked if dog could come inside as there was no signs to state otherwise. When I asked if I could order outside as I had to leave my three dog there I got told to just order inside I explained one dog has bad separation anxiety to which the staff member rolled their eye to my face and walked off. Wouldn't go back if you paid me and I'll be letting all my friends who have dogs to not set foot here. If I could give minus stars I would

I think that this place might be UNDER rated. Great selection of Ales / Lagers. Good menu, and the food we had (twice in one week) was excellent. All topped off with really nice people behind the bar. Nice place. RECOMMENDED.

The Station used to have the best burgers around so we went there for our tea really looking forward to it. Ordered two of the tenner burgers, I couldn’t believe it when they were served, looked no more than one of the 99p efforts you can buy from fast food outlets but didn’t taste as good! Gave 2 stars because of the chips! Really disappointing, we will not go back there to eat for a very long time,

Went for a family party upstairs. Good price for drinks and great space to party.

Waited 20 minutes at the bar, very poor service. Needs to be a queueing system. Other customers just pushed straight in and got served first, so just left with no food or drink and went elsewhere.

We've just visited The Station for lunch and had the sharing platter. It included fish and chicken goujons, scampi and a load of other things. Can highly recommend having it, such good value for money. Very well done The Station, will definitely be back. Thank you.

Didn't have food, I went to see band's at the Killyfest, had a great time weather was good as it is outdoor event, well worth going to see. The event was well organised and very well run, no queues and clean,

This pub serves excellent food. Outside is good regarding seating and special place for kids to sit, BUT went on tuesday 25th july for birthday meal at lunchtime, with my dog who has been before, admittedly when weve dined outside when weather was good, went inside place was totally empty , asked if we could bring dog in as we saw there were tables near entrance where there was no carpet on floor for dogs to spoil, and told rather abruptly ( no dogs allowed as we serve food) lots of pubs sell food and allow dogs, and told we could sit outside, what in rain, thanx but no thanx so we left, we wont be back, other pubs have supplied our dog with water and treats , so his loss, but by his attitude dont think he'll be overly bothered, but have spread the word to other people who have dogs and enjoy going to pubs with them

Sunday lunch delivery, lovely as usual.

Even though the pub was completely empty we were told we couldn’t bring the dog in, very disappointed as we have been there quite a few times but sat outside in the sun. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Fantastic place, nice hot fresh food served by friendly staff. No doubting it is a place that welcomes and caters for children of all ages. A definite on the will go again list

Paid for large Sunday roast only to receive a small portion , no cauliflower cheese spoke to staff no offer of a refund of the difference in payment however they were very apologetic, and said it was a different chef. Food was tasty though but it did leave us feeling that we won't be returning for Sunday lunch.

I usually go down to listen to the bands performing on a Friday and I'm never disappointed. Staff are friendly and although I haven't personally had food here, I have heard many positive reviews from others about their food.

Just had my daughter's 18th birthday party here. From booking back in February the staff have been really helpful. We had it in the conservatory and they allowed us to come in to decorate the room in the morning. The food was nicely set out, a good selection and plenty of it. The staff were on hand to answer any questions during the party. The younger members of the family enjoyed the play area and the bouncy castle and the rest of us enjoyed sitting outside after we had eaten. We even had a bonus steam train pass by! Our family locally and those who had travelled were very impressed with the venue. We would definitely recommend this venue to others.

Recently visited this pub, the food was awfull, everyone of our groups suffered vomiting & bad bellies! For the money, it was a disgrace, the one member of staff, wasnt very welcoming, all though it was just her, so not suprised!

Been to the station today for drinks and food we had the tapas 3 for £12 and a pizza all delicious no wonder it’s in the top 10 for Sunday lunch special mention to the young girl for looking after us its a must try

Was at the upstairs room for a wedding function, room was clean, tidy and very welcoming, staff were very pleasant, nothing was too much hassle

No disrespect to the staff as they were great but these reviews who think the Sunday lunch is good need to get out more I've been to dozens and dozens and this rates as one of the worst. Just the food spoilt my experience cold and definitely not home made nothing.....

Had a beautiful meal (Sunday lunch) delivered from station on Sunday, it was absolutely gorgeous, plenty meat, mash and roast, 5 veg, Yorkshire pud, and gravy, and the Apple crumble with custard was beautiful, thankyou I will be back for more 🌞🧡

Visited today and had a lovely experience. The staff were polite and friendly and the place is really nice inside. There was also plenty of seating areas outdoors. Sunday lunch was lovely and our 3 year old told us how much she enjoyed it. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back :)

Christmas Day. First time in 14 years I have been out for Christmas lunch. Food and service, lovely. The only thing which let it down was too many people squashed in the conservatory. Some tables couldn't get out unless 3 tables up and moved. A lot of money spent as a treat and kids wished we stayed at home. Such a shame. Not saying I wouldn't do it again but they need to think about using the full pub for food then opening to public for drinks after.

Went here for Christmas lunch and wasn’t good. Food was cold, waitress was polite and efficient but out table was last to be served even though we were first to be seated. The vegetables were very hard and not edible. Nice looking pub from outside and good to go for to Sheba drink but I would not go here for a meal

Stop off here for a pint now and again, always a few in the bar, the gent behind the bar is good at his job though and serves people in order and always has something to say to you. 5-10-22 Could have new management, inside more or less the same, outside, new raised patio area from the restaurant door, extra seating on the grassed area and, food is now available 7 days a week, tapas sound good.

My wife and I regularly visit this excellent pub which is about 10-15 minutes away. The staff are brilliant and Barry runs a good tight ship which delivers an extremely high standard of customer service, serves up brilliant food and drink and organises terrific entertainment throughout the year. The pub is a friendly place and the outside area is very special. Visitors and locals are warmly welcomed and the menu is very good and reasonable, as are the drinks. we last visited the pub on Saturday 13th August for a "Tribfest" which was a number of Tribute acts, namely, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Meatloaf, Tina Turner and Bon Jovi. The day kicked of about 12.30pm and everybody who came were entertained by brilliant tributes to famous stars. There was ample seating, you could order drinks from your table, a variety of food was available to purchase and everyone appeared to have a great time. Barry and his team ensured everything went without any trouble and even ordered constant sunshine all day. Barry and his team should be proud that so many people turned up and made it a great day Other than this event, the pub is a great, clean, friendly place to visit and enjoy reall good food, drink and excellent hospitality.
