OMG the focaccia! We stopped here for a drink mid-afternoon. The waiter was very laid-back, friendly and accommodating. We had a bottle of the Picpoul de Pinet (very nice) and a beer, great olives and the most amazing, warm, perfect focaccia. Very impressed and we will return for lunch or dinner.

The panini sandwiches here were the best ones we have ever tasted, it was very friendly and nice service, Flam was the nicest guy who made the best hot chocolate! I would 100% reccomend this place to anyone who enjoys friendly service, a warm restaurant, delicious food and a welcome like no other. Love Orsini Cafe!!

Visit to London. This lovely little sandwich shop 500 yards from our hotel. Service from the owners very friendly. Food lovely and all reasonably priced especially given its location. Please spend your money at this place instead of the 100's of Pret de Mangers.

ideal venue for a quick meal whilst visiting the exhibitions. Quite expensive for standard buffet style food I though although reasonable enough quality, if somewhat stingy portions when I last ate there.

Not the wine bar but the secret Crypt at Fortnum & Mason: A Private Dining Experience Worth Its Weight in Gold Leaf There are certain dining experiences that stick with you—not just for the food or the service, but for the sheer sense of occasion. The Crypt at Fortnum & Mason is one of them. If you’re looking for something a little more special than the usual hushed fine dining or predictable steak-and-claret affair, this is it. It’s intimate, exclusive, and ever so slightly surreal. Firstly, getting there is part of the magic. You’re led—quite ceremoniously—through the famous Fortnum & Mason shop, past the well-heeled shoppers fondling tins of truffled almonds and debating whether their loose-leaf oolong should be single estate. Then, at the back of the wine department, through an inconspicuous doorway, you descend into another world. The Crypt itself is pure old-school charm: all dim lighting, wine bottles lining the walls, heavy wooden tables, and grand old paintings that make you feel like Henry VIII might pop by for a goblet of something robust. It’s the kind of place where whispered conspiracies seem likely, but instead, we were there to celebrate a good friend’s 50th—eight of us, tucked away with our own playlist, our own space, and absolutely no need to worry about disturbing anyone else. And then there’s the food. This isn’t a set menu affair, but a carefully handpicked selection—tailored, considered, personal. Each course arrived with the kind of effortless grace that only the best service teams can deliver: attentive but never intrusive, knowledgeable but never patronising. Wines were paired with precision, reinforcing Fortnum’s reputation as the grand old dame of London’s luxury food scene. Three glorious hours passed in a haze of good conversation, clinking glasses, and that rare sense of truly unhurried dining. But the pièce de résistance? At the end of the night, we were escorted through the now-empty shop, past the glittering counters and silent shelves, like something out of Night at the Museum. It was a little bit magical, a little bit cinematic, and entirely unforgettable. Yes, it’s expensive. But then, some things should be. If you’re looking to truly spoil someone—or just remind yourself what dining should feel like—The Crypt is as special as they come.
