We arrived to the vessel at 7:30 to find a lengthy queue already forming. The weather was chilly, but fortunately no rain, or a great many would have suffered exposure to the elements in their fine dress. Thankfully we had done our research, and the FAQ section did warn of this possibility beforehand and we were not caught off guard. The onboarding process went fairly quickly and we were whisked away to our booth accommodated for 7. The champagne and wine pours were swift, substantial, and surprisingly superb. One might never know with “inclusive” beverage packages, but the elegant offering was spot on. We enjoyed Beef Wellington as our main. It was delicious and memorable. One of our guests suffers from a gluten allergy and the advance planning with the SS coordination team paid off. We enjoyed seamless service to address the dietary requirement from start to finish. This is critically important to a successful event, seeing as we would not have wanted to start our meal without everyone in our party having been served. Things could have quickly go awry with meals getting cold, but this was not endured by our party, and we could not have dreamt of a better outcome. The view for the fireworks was amazing and onboard music was entertaining and enjoyed by all. As a New Year’s celebration, it is expensive by most standards. Additionally, one must consider pricey pre-arranged car service. The transportation around London is quite challenging at New Years, with several road closures to navigate, and you’ll want informed and dependable transport. Trust your hotel concierge and prearrange! All things considered, it’s a highly recommended once in a lifetime experience.

We boarded at the Festival Pier for a business corporate do and from the moment we stepped on it was impressive all the way. The staff were very polite and courteous and couldn't do enough. The Silver Sturgeon was very clean and absolutely spotless! The food we had was just amazing and the whole experience was just awesome. We sailed up the Thames so far and then back down as far as Greenwich and saw most of Londons landmarks etc. Honestly it was the best day ever! Would thoroughly recommend it!

We had a great time on New Year’s Eve aboard the Silver Sturgeon. It is a luxury cruise with good food and service, where you can see all of the London landmarks on such a special day. Best part is the fireworks, we got close to the action and had a truly spectacular and unforgettable fireworks display!

El Silver Sturgeon es un barco hermoso, lujoso y elegante. Comenzar con champán en el área de recepción de popa fue una excelente introducción al bote con mucho espacio para sentarse o pararse charlando y bebiendo. El plato de cangrejo estaba delicioso, al igual que el cordero de Cornualles y las fresas con merengue eran perfectas para terminar. Tengo un problema de intolerancia con la crema y el chef me proporcionó alternativas perfectas sin crema. El servicio fue genial por todo el personal. Este fue un regalo sorpresa de cumpleaños de mi pareja. Fuimos en el crucero del viernes Laurent Perrier y todo fue increíble. I went for a 1920s themed boat party and it was fabulous! Live entertainment, positive vibes, great vibes and we all looked the part! The SS is gorgeous too!

Barco muy lujoso y espacioso que sirve excelente comida y vino que no pararon de venir.Éramos un grupo de 6, así que nos asignaron una mesa junto a la ventana, que era perfecta. (Todas las mesas junto a la ventana.el asiento 6 y las mesas más grandes están en el medio) Nos sirvieron canap s, entrante, plato principal, postre y petit fours, todos muy buenos. El servicio fue bueno y el DJ excelente.Lo mejor de todo fue la vista de los fuegos artificiales, fantástico. También proporcionan muchas mantas para mantenerte abrigado mientras te paras en la cubierta.Es una noche costosa pero sin duda vale la pena hacerlo. La única pega fue que tomaron demasiado tiempo para que la gente subiera al bote, lo que significaba que estábamos parados en el frío durante 15 minutos, en realidad no era lo que esperaría con un boleto de 435.

Went here for a friend's 70th birthday. From the minute we got on the boat we were well looked after. Veuve Clicquot champagne flowing and topping up of our glasses. I have been on this boat twice before and missed having the nibbles beforehand on this trip. Food was excellent and also the service. I had the vegetarian meal which was very nice. Friends had the lamb shank and said it was lovely. I am thinking of booking this for my birthday next year as we had such a good time. We were also lucky with the weather as it was end of August. Please bring back the nibbles though.

I spent the evening on the Silver Sturgeon as part of a fund raising event - the views were fantastic, the food good, and the service great. In a busy room noise does echo round a bit making it a little hard to hear but a very enjoyable night out.

Mis amigos se casaron y querían una recepción que coincidiera con sus personalidades y gustos. El esturión plateado les dio todo esto y más. Lujo, clase, estilo y un poco de Bling! El personal era encantador, el gerente realmente en la pelota, y el hombre del bar en la cubierta superior merece una medalla que nunca se detuvo y sonrió a través de la avalancha de muchos tratando de competir por su atención. El barco es un tapón de espectáculo, como un mini crucero, pero no del tipo remolcador. La comida está bien, más o menos lo que esperarías cuando atendías a tantos, teníamos una barbacoa con opciones de carne / pescado y vegetales (los panecillos de carbón eran densos y empalagosos), pero eso es una pequeña elección en una noche perfecta. Las vistas mientras navegábamos a lo largo del Támesis sumergiéndonos bajo icónicos puentes me hicieron darme cuenta de la gran ciudad de Londres, y no puedo decir suficientes cosas buenas sobre The Silver Sturgeon y su gente. Mi marido y yo nos las arreglamos para conseguir entradas de última hora para su corbata negra nye 5 espectáculo cena. Nos cautivó desde el principio hasta el final. Todo el personal, incluidos los de seguridad estaban bloody genial. La comida (especialmente en el barco y catering para muchos fue excepcional. Compartimos una mesa con otras 2 parejas a quienes nunca habíamos conocido antes, pero todos dieron en la famosa (¡gracias a Dios! La recepción con champagne) fue bien recibida tanto cuando llegamos y justo antes de la medianoche (y la verdad es que no nos estrecha con él) DJ fue genial. Pedimos varios mojitos que eran bastante bueno teniendo en cuenta lo concurrido de demonios fue el bar. Y en cuanto a la ubicación de los fuegos artificiales, Dios mío, fuera de este mundo! !

One of the highlights of our trip to London was a beautiful night on The Silver Sturgeon. To go under the beautifully lit London Bridge while having a delicious meal was perfect. The London skyline including Big Ben while on this boat was magical.

Went on the boat for a welcome party down the Thames with runaway tours for the bon jovi palladium gig. The staff were friendly the boat itself was stunning but a little small and the drinks were very pricey but all in all a good time to be had.

El alojamiento en el barco era cómoda aunque el aire acondicionado estaba demasiado alto y yo estaba bastante frío toda la noche. El servicio de camareros fue excelente, pero me quedé muy decepcionado al ver que eran tener una barbacoa como es mi menos favorito tipo de comida y como yo no comer pan o como hamburguesas, etc terminamos con una brocheta de pollo, un trozo de salmón y ensalada. Ni mi marido ni yo teníamos cualquier postre.

This was a private 'works do' trip with my old company. The service this boat offers is first class drinks and food flowed throughout the evening. This was a first class experience which I would recommend to all.

I've been meaning to post my review for sometime for the Silver Sturgeon but this year has raced away already. My guests and I spent New Year's Eve 2016 on the Silver Sturgeon and had a fabulous night from start to finish!Everything about the night was brilliant from the moment we boarded at The Savoy Pier until we got off in the New Year! We were given a warm welcome on arrival by the lovely host followed by a champagne reception before being shown to our table. My guest and I loved everything about the five-course meal (the bass starter and beef fillet for the mains were both exceptional!) whilst the staff were great in keeping our drinks topped up for the night. The real show stopper was of course being on the river for the fireworks in the heart of London ringing in the new year with friends and family and even more champagne! We continued the celebrations on the dance floor into the early hours of the morning thanks to the DJ and his great playlist of of tunes!My guests and I truly had a brilliant night and we cannot thank the staff and crew of the Silver Sturgeon for making it a New Year's eve to remember and one that will be hard to beat...I have already recommended to all of my friends and family that we go again next year! See you there for New Year's Eve 2017!

We booked this trip to finish off our year in style after getting married and was looking forward to having a lovely meal and watching the fireworks in one of the best cities in the world. We looked over the T&C's before hand, and it was advised to leave plenty of time to get to the pier. We were staying 10 minutes away by taxi but left over an hour to get there, but unfortunately due to all the surrounding roads been blocked or completely shut due to the police, (which was not available on any website) which meant after been stuck in grid locked traffic for 40 minutes, the only way was to try and walk over a mile in high heeled shoes and a evening dress through central London! Yes we missed the boat and after 10 calls to the organiser to try and pick the boat up at another pier, we finally had a return call at 10.45 (what a joke this company is) to ask if we wanted to come and meet them for the last hour....... We had friends on the boat who said the food was very average and her main course contained a hair as an added extra, this was replaced 30 minutes later after everyone else had eaten, wine/food quality was average for the amount you had paid for. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. When we complained about the amount of information on the website we were told that basically it is for us to make sure we left enough time to get there, so unless you are staying 100 yds away from the pier (which our friends were), i would leave at least 2-3 hours for a 10 minute journey.We ended up having a £900 meal including Wine and Champagne at our hotel (Shangri-la) where we watched the fireworks and the whole of London in style. So my advice would be to go to the Chard instead of some over priced 2 star Mc Donalds type food boat. Keep well away, you have been warned, especially if you have a good palate.

Attended business dinner dance on board silver sturgeon, absolutely faultless, from boarding to leaving the ship a full 6 hours later the staff were excellent, food sublime and entertainment fantastic, Highly recommended

This was an incredible experience from the moment we set foot on the boat to when we departed. We have been to London multiple times but this was the first time that we were able to take a cruise on the River Thames. The staff was very attentive and the meal was very good. Being on the river at sunset and dusk was a wonderful way to see the city and sites from London to Greenwich. We had a very memorable evening.

New Years Eve 2014. My umpteenth birthday. We took a party of 10 on the Silver Sturgeon. Boarded at 7.30. Welcomed with plentiful champagne followed by an excellent 4 course meal where the wine flowed freely and was very good. The music was enjoyable and volume acceptable. Plenty of room on decks to enjoy the sights of London as we sailed up the river. Extensive dance floor too. We moored beside Big Ben at midnight to enjoy the fireworks. It was a truly wonderful experience enhanced by the excellent service and attention to detail of the entire staff and crew. Thank you all.

Went to a charity lunch on Sunday and I have to say was marvellous from the moment we stepped on at savoy pier the staff were amazing and the lunch was georgeous thank you to all the staff and management

Beautiful experience from start to finish. Made to feel like a VIP from the moment I boarded the boat. Attended a work celebration party on the Silver Sturgeon, the staff were excellent. Constantly ensuring we had all we need, that no one and an empty class. And when the food was serve they were covering all ends of the boat offering us different selections of the Jamie Oliver delights. Food dishes were miniature meals but not miniature on taste. Great experience. Would love to go back!

If you are looking for an extra special way to spend New Year's Eve in London then you have got to book a table on The Silver Sturgeon. Celebrated this year with six friends at their gala New Years party. The boat was moored at embankment so the excitement begins from the minute you get to Travalgar Square walking down to the pier with the crowds who are all heading down to the water to get their viewing spots - there is a huge buzz, even more cause you know you are really lucky to have one of the best places to watch the fireworks in the whole city!The staff are amazingly friendly and professional - the maître d, Roger, greets you at the door with a huge friendly smile and begins the evening by showing you in and popping open the champagne! From there we were handed over to the team who were looking after us for the evening including Andrea who again offered us more champagne :) All the team on board could not have been more helpful throughout the evening.The menus promised a feast and that is what we got....5 courses of exciting courses, each one more delicious that the last. My favorite was the fillet of beef, I'm not a big meat eater but honestly it just melted in my mouth. I wish I could have fit more in! (Although I did manage to fit in two cheese plates!).And then for the fireworks....there were plenty of viewing places around the boat, we managed to get right to the front, I couldn't believe we were so close to the action. Right in front of The Eye, it really was so exciting to watch the countdown and then all the display. None of us wanted it to end! The music was good but we probably spent too much time on deck and so didn't fit in a lot of dancing.All in all a really fantastic evening, couldn't recommend it highly enough....the only thing I'd change would be if we could have had a little less rain....but you can't have everything!

We spent New Years Eve on the Silver Sturgeon and from start to finish the experience was incredible! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, to top of it all off we have a 5 course meal which was really delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection, it was for a group of 350 people and blew me away how well the meal was put together!!! I'd recommend a trip on this boat down the thames to anyone, lovely food, warm staff and incredible views of the thames. Thank you to all who made this a very special evening!

Attended a charity/corporate event for the first time on this fine vessel. Certainly not disappointed and a splendid evening was enjoyed by all concerned, as far as I could see. Great service from freindly staff and a quality meal, which is no mean feat when bobbing along the Thames. Would fully recommend to anyone considering a meal afloat.

My party of three had a lovely winter evening on board the Silver Sturgeon. We had an excellent delicious four course dinner and a beautiful night cruise down the River Thames. The whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable and we are looking forward to 2013, so that we can repeat the experience.I would like to take this opportunity once more to thank Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts Team for an excellent evening.

I attended a fabulous function on board, which was fantastic because of the event and people. However the food which I thought would be amazing as it carries the Jamie Oliver name was awful as was the service.Firstly, bread for a table of 8 people, served as little bits of bread, and a couple of breadsticks sticking out of in a cup the size of a mug! To serve YES 8 PEOPLE! They provide butter on the table to butter your few crumbs of bread but no side plates and no side knives. So clearly staff / management know nothing about about the etiquette and Mise En Plus procedures for an event, resulting in tables laid up incorrectly.Then enter the food! Meat not cooked properly served only with potatoes. NO VEGETABLES? Is meat and 2 veg now out of fashion?Terrible. Make sure you know what you are getting before paying lots of money for the name of Jamie Oliver as there really is very little in this dining experience that indicates that a great chef is involved. As for the bread situation, make sure Jesus is available to share the bread for you as it really needs a miracle for this small cup of crumbs to be shared among 8 people!

The boat is incredible, really takes your breath away when you board at Savoy pier...Canapés and champagne were amazing in the reception and the dinner was fantastic!So much more then I expected!I highly recommend this to any one in London over new years eve, the Thames at night is such an experience on a boat especially to watch the fire works.I've been on different boats with other companies for the last three years and this was the best by far, way more expensive then the others but well worth every penny! I'm booking again this year which says it all....

Sorry to say food was poor.Paella was Cooked in large pan which was carried thru the boat and then served in small iron pans, but was soggy and most people left half of even this small portion.The shepherds pie was only average and overall bland.The fish and chips served in paper, but were again soggy and smothered in sauce, more like a microwave, than a deep fat fryer.Sorry 0/10.

Absolutely fantastic boat. We had our party there and everything was brilliant. Food and drink and disco brilliant.Would highly recommend it to everyone. Everyone said it was the best party ever and we should definitely go back. May try the champagne lunch next time for a change.Absolutely brilliant night.

This was a disgrace - we paid £370 per head for this dinner cruise!! We got two canapes each - two Christmas crackers between 8 of us - a lot of tables that should have seated 6 per stretched to 8 - not enough bread for one portion each - not enough crackers or cheese for one per person and the wine was not flowing as promised. Also and probably the most disappointing for us was that we were promised that this cruise was going to moor under the eye (that is why we paid more than other river cruises that night) but it didnt - it moored back at the pier for the firework display, so of course we had a side view. The disco was finished abruptly at 12.45 etc Thank God we met lovely people on board or the night would have been totally spoiled.

Five of us have also just been on the New Year's Eve cruise. Food and atmosphere were truly excellent and the staff superb, would highly recommend! The only slight disappointment was that the disco ended rather abruptly at 12.45 am without any announcement/happy new year/thanks for joining us....otherwise all extremely well done.

Just did the New Years Eve event on the Silver Sturgeon...........Absolutely superb, the service, the food and hospitality and staff was excellent....what made it better was the very nice people we were tabled with on Table 3....Do book it for next year...worth every penny
