The panini sandwiches here were the best ones we have ever tasted, it was very friendly and nice service, Flam was the nicest guy who made the best hot chocolate! I would 100% reccomend this place to anyone who enjoys friendly service, a warm restaurant, delicious food and a welcome like no other. Love Orsini Cafe!!

Even though customers were queuing out of the door we opted to wait for a free table and were greeted like old friends. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. Yes it isn’t the smartest place, but if you want great food served with a smile at reasonable prices then this is your kind of place. I thought I had been transported to Italy! We had a very filling and interesting bowl of salad and panini and a couple of drinks which were served in no time even though it was a very busy lunchtime. Other customers - everybody from students, construction workers, tourists and professionals had takeaways and full meals which all seemed to go down well. There was a great buzz about the place and the staff seemed to really enjoy working there. We certainly enjoyed our visit.

Here you get the authentic Italian light lunch. Several Italian foods such as a chicken escalope in a sandwich which was very filling. Extremely conveniently located for National Gallery and Leicester Square. Caution however, if you are looking for a relatively smart eating place this is not for you. It is down to earth and functional. The Italian service is warm, joyous and probably very loyal to its customers.

Lovely little place, they serve normal food! Had a cheese and a chicken sandwich - really tasty and cost very little. Perfect at what they do.

Es un típico ‘sandwich bar’ londinense enfrente del Hotel Thistle Trafalgar Square, ofrece un excelente trato y comida casera de muy alta calidad, muy recomendable la ‘focaccia ‘ de mozzarella, aguacate y tomate; espectacular!!! As a 21 year old working in london a quick big lunch is always needed. Orsini Cafe is the best place for this. Genuinly considering the amount of customers they must get. I will walk in and always get a pleasant greeting and asking how my day is. I will usually go for their salt beef sandwhich which i would highly reccomend. very reasonable price aswell considering the quality and the price of competitors. WHAT A PLACE !!!!!!

After a full day of touring and shopping we needed a great reasonabky priced dinner. Reviews were great and a only a 10 minute walk. Outstanding food and service with the truly surprising discovery of a Chef that truly cares about his creations. I ordered the squid ink pasta and clams. Having enjoyed linquini with Clams in a light non creamed white clam sauce many many times this was the first time the chef politely explained that adding fresh grated parmigian cheese to his dish would change the intended flavors. While I was free to choose I followed his advise. My family had a couple of other dishes we left saying this was the best meal we had in London. Go not because the prices are reasonable but for a truly great dining experience in a casual environment.

I visited Orsini nearly every day during my recent 6 week long study abroad. The guys behind the counter genuinely seem interested in making customers happy. Food comes quick and is very good. I would recommend grabbing sandwiches here and taking them to go, as there is not a lot of table space during peak times. My go to order was a Chicken Escalope melt with mozzarella cheese (only 5 pounds).

Very friendly and helpful staff with a great range of foods on offer and happy to make something if you cannot readily see it available. If your choices are a little different to the norm, they are happy to oblige with a smile. Clean, efficient and deliciuous.

After a 40 hour exhausting trip we arrived at our hotel and it was suggested we go to Orsini for dinner. We were thrilled with the suggestion. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff made us welcome. Delicious, well priced, wholesome food. Felt like we had landed in Rome, not London.

Across the street from the Thistle Hotel at Trafalgar Square, the Orsini offers breakfast and lunch in a small, 4 booth eatery. Staff is very friendly, food is very good and a great value for the money. Ate several breakfasts there and was never disappointed.

Lovely service, very friendly and welcoming. Food was fine, nothing special but good value. Not particularly comfortable or nice inside but think it's designed to be more of a takeout spot.

Nos topamos con Orsini es cuando a pie de Leicester Square a Trafalgar Square y necesitábamos algo para comer rápido. El servicio era muy amable y muy oportuno, los precios se considera bajo para Liverpool, así que algo de un milagro en el centro de Londres y cuando nos dieron la comida, era precioso y las porciones eran generosas. Recordaré este lugar para la próxima vez que esté en la ciudad :-)

nous avions pris l'info par trip-advisor car nous cherchions des endroits peu fréquenter par les touristes pour le petit déjeuner...bingo.....à 5mns de la Galerie Nationale dans une petite ruelle vous allez découvrir ce petit trésor....l'accueil est tellement chaleureuse..il y a seulement 3 tables pour s'assoir ...mais le service pour emporter est la principale activité. Les gens sont tellement gentils et confiant il sont venue nous servir à la table refusant que nous payons toute suite avant d'avoir manger. Mon conjoint a pris des œufs brouillés et moi un oeuf jambon....super bon....vraiment n'hésitez pas à vous y rendre si vous cherchez quelque chose de vraiment authentique.

En la mayoría de cafés, un bocadillo es un sandwich. En la carrera, no estamos buscando lujo. Pero están llenas de sándwiches orsini con extra de bienvenida y alegría.

Nos alojamos al otro lado de la calle en el Royal Thistle y cafetería nuestra rutina diaria. Nos encontramos en la primera vez porque era conveniente y regresar porque es un gran lugar para tomar el desayuno o el almuerzo. El personal era siempre alegre y amable. El menú puede ser un poco básico, pero en el buen sentido. Todas las necesidades básicas están cubiertas para el desayuno y el almuerzo y la comida tradicional de confort fue preparado bien. Los precios son bajos y más de un par de lugareños armado aquí todos los días.

Really nice, fairly cheap breakfast. Good options and staff are always really friendly. I've only had breakfast but they do jacket potatoes, sandwiches, pasta etc. Food can be a little greasy but is expected with a fry up! Upgraded to brown toast for free!

Found this when I fed up with hotel breakfasts. Makes great mugs of tea and the best cooked breakfasts in this part of London. I will be a regular on future trips to London.

A family run cafe serving Neapolitan food at most reasonable prices. I arrived in my disability motor scooter and the staff rushed to the door to assist me into the restaurant and could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout the evening. Opposite the V and A and other museums, within a couple of hundred metres of Harrods, it is a great venue to get away from all the bustle!

호텔 바로 앞에 있어서 지나가면서 늘 보던 곳이었어요. 근데 구글 맵에도 기재되어 있고 현지인들이 하루종일 들락거리는 것을 보고 한번 먹어봤는데, 진짜 굿굿굿~ 맛있었어요.주인도 너무 친절하고 유머가 넘쳐요. 권해주는 대로 시켜서 두개 사와서 먹었는데 양도 진짜 푸짐. 둘이서 두개를 다 먹기 힘들 정도로 커요. 그래도 다 먹었지만요.ㅋ

I work around the corner and use this cafe for lunch all the time. Pasta, sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes etc all available. Food is always tasty and good value for money. Staff/owners always remember you and the things you like, great cafe.

Stayed at the Hotel nearby and the Orsini Cafe had a great cooked to order Breakfast with gigantic cups of tea......at an attractive price...

We had a snack lunch here whilst staying at the Royal Trafalgar.The menu was varied and the staff friendly. The service was prompt and the food good. We would happily have returned but our London stay was too short to be able to fit in another visit.

Arrived last night and found this great Italian restaurant across the street from our hotel. Now we're here for breakfast to start our day off right. Staff is friendly and good is great!

Pequeño rinconcito con 4 mesas apretadas, dificil tener mesa pero si podeis sentaros el trato es perfecto. Atentos i cuidadosos. La comida muy buena relacion calidad precio i platos de pasta abuntandes i muy buenos. Mucha gente compra take away, paninis, chapatas i sanwiches. El expresso com tiene que ser. En fin un buen sitio para comer a buen precio sin lujos ni etiquetas.

We stopped here after a morning at the National Gallery. We had delicious panini sandwiches and one person had a great pasta alfredo. Service was friendly and prompt. The owner/waiter had so much character and it was hopping with people. Not much room to dine in, but great value and excellent food!

Whenever I travel I always try to avoid chain food and search out local family run places. While in London with the family I asked a local street vendor my kids were buying sweatshirts from if he had any suggestions. He pointed me to Orson 's. As soon as he told me we'd see no tourists there and it would be packed with construction workers and office workers I knew it was what I wanted and it was. The food was great and the prices extremely reasonable. My picky kids cleaned their plates and before we left they asked if we could come back the next day. Unfortunately we didn't make it back but I'd go again anytime I'm in London.

Great value cafe in fantastic location close to Trafalgar and Leicester Squares. Sit down or takeaway - hot and cold food. Quality and value experience - couldn't believe the price given the central London location. Family who run it are a delight!

After our wonderful afternoon at the London museums! we had a fantastic dinner at Orsini. Quaint family restaurant with great food and service! The lasagne was excellent! Will definitely go back before our holiday is over. Very convenient, right across from Victoria and Albert museum.

Great value for money when it comes to lunch. Food of good quality at a very reasonable price. A lot of local workers come here for their sandwiches, which to me is a good sign. Service was friendly and polite. I will certainly come here again when back in London.

Had a wonderful lunch here with my cousin - it's been one of his favorite spots for years. Great service, friendly staff, excellent sandwiches! Would definitely love to return on my next visit to London.

Orsini cafe is a very small place which you could easily walked by without noticing it . Glad we walked in and have the best breakfast in the westend which cost only 5 pounds 50pence including coffee ! Quick fast service. Friendly owners and everything is freshly prepared and cooked .Good coffee and it was a hearty breakfast. Pity we were leaving London that day if not we definitely be back for dinners looking at the menu .

per il nostro anniversario abbiamo deciso di visitare londra dal 15 al 19 settembre, abbiamo soggiornato all'hotel rembrandt, trovando una piacevole sorpresa vicinissimo all'hotel c'era il ristorante orsini. Si mangia da favola, sembra di stare a casa, ottimi ingredienti e ottima cucina (per due salernitani che vivono nella patria della mozzarella) abbiamo trovato anche una mozzarella buonissima. Il titolare e tutto il personale son gentili e cortesi (ci sono camerieri italiani). Che dire provare per credere.. una nota di merito va fatta, per dovere di cronaca, al cuoco barvissimo

My daughter and son-in-law found Orsinis in 2009 and told us on our recent trip that the food was very good. The four of us were in London for 11 days and ate at this cafe four times for dinner. When I worked I traveled to several countries in Europe and the United States. If a bolognese was on the menu I had to try it. Orsini's bolognese was excellent. The sauce was very meaty and tasty. Leonardo, the manager, said they use beef, veal, and pork in their meat sauce.My wife had bow tie pasta one night, the breaded veal (4 nights) and we had the gnocci twice. Excellent.The desserts were super - the lemon cake, tiarre misu, flourless chocolate cake - all very very good. AND the capuccino, and teas were very good too.The service was excellent also.

The food scene is much improved in London, but you'll still find more than your share of franchise operations, so finding something original and genuine is special. We were lucky to find such a place hidden away on Whitcomb Street, just around the corner from the National Gallery.It's a little hole in the wall place, no airs, simple and straight forward. My wife and I stumbled upon it while walking from Leichester Square to the National Gallery. She was starving, so we stopped in...and we're so glad we did. The fellows working there couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating...food takes a little while but worth the wait as everything is made to order.We had such a nice stop there the first day, we came back with our children and their friends the next day and did it again.Try the loaded baked potato...pick your toppings and expect them to be overflowing the spud.My wife had one with cheese and beans and couldn't finish it all. The girls had sandwiches and soups and loved theirs too.This was the kind of hole in the wall most tourists will never see. Looked like mostly locals stopping by in there to grab some take away food.If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and take a break and enjoy the food and friendly service. It's a real treat.
