We booked Lore of the Land for a Sunday roast to celebrate my husband‘s birthday. When we arrived, we were seated quickly but at a table that would have struggled to have held two dinner plates, it was too small and when I noticed another couple leaving, I asked to switch tables, which the waitress was happy to accommodate. We both ordered the meat combo and the food was delicious - could not fault it at all. The service was a bit mixed, the waitress that seated us was super friendly, the waitress that took our order seemed a bit unsure of herself and I would assume she might be new. The man who I assumed was the manager however gave us the impression that he was doing us a favour just by being there. He came to ask how our food was and when I smiled and said it was amazing he didn’t react, just nodded and walked off. However it was when we asked for the bill that I really took exception - the bill came, he then appeared with a card machine and said “so how are we going to sort this” - I said we would be paying Apple Pay - he then pointed the machine at me, I tapped and he walked off without so much of a thank you or acknowledgement - not impressed and incredibly rude. Overall, I would definitely recommend for the food, but I had expected far more from the service than what we received.

Disfrutamos de nuestra experiencia. Como somos de glasgow hemos visitado algunos lugares diferentes de Nicos. Tenía el menú de Hollywood y no tenía nada de qué quejarse. El servicio era bueno y la comida sabrosa, no es el mejor asiento, ya que la gente constantemente caminando así que se sentía un poco como sentado en un pasillo. Hubiera preferido haber estado en uno de los asientos de la pared. Pero no lo habíamos solicitado. Así que culpa nuestra. 5 personas diferentes preguntaron sobre alergias. Que fue demasiado.

The steak sandwich at this restaurant is an absolute masterpiece—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A special shoutout to Amal, whose warm hospitality and attentive service made the experience even more delightful. Highly recommend!
