Warm fish and hot fries, food ok but nothing special.

Cod fish and chips, with ketchup and tartar sauce. Very good and abundant. If you go to London you have to try this dish, it is a classic.

Walked past for years and finally popped in for a takeaway. Absolutely brilliant. Chips were delicious amd cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Good size portion and really decent price - plus help yourself to salt, vinegar, ketchup and mayo! Next time we will eat in as the cod looked HUGE. Definitely happy to endorse :-)

El personal debe recibir capacitación en cocinar, servir y presentar al cliente. Pedimos gambas a la parrilla por el precio premium, pero recibimos solo tres gambas de tamaño promedio con algunas hojas de cohete colocadas apresuradamente en el plato. Small, quiet place specializing in fish and chips... one of the best in the area. It is not typical for tourists!! The food is good and not cheap £19 fish (cod) with plenty of potatoes. They charged us 8 pounds for the service!! Excessive I think!

A preferable place for Fish & Chips. It was really nice and the portions were big. But my favorite was Calamari. the food was crispy and very tasty. The staff was caring and courteous.

Had an excellent meal at lunch. Fish & Chips was excellent. We were recommended by a youtuber and he was spot-on. Since it was not busy inside, the server let us break the rules and split the meal. For a fantastic meal and excellent experience, make sure to stop here! Highly recommended!

Truly amazing food and the staff were absolutely amazing

The fish and chips were decent, very clean flavors. Both the price and portion were very competitive with other locations. We also got the pastourma as an appetizer and it was a very well seasoned beef sausage. The mixed plate let you taste a bit of everything they had to offer. You could really taste the flavors of the meat and smoke. It came with salad, chips, and a pita making it a very sizeable amount of food. They offered a variety of sauces with the plate. If you're looking to hit your protein goals or to have pork, beef, lamb, and chicken all at once, I would definitely recommend getting this plate.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! We ended up there, because it was advertised as one of the best fish and chips in town. We ordered 2 fish & chips, another fish and halloumi as a starter. The other fish and halloumi were not edible, they tasted like the oil wasnt fresh, so we didnt eat it. Even the fries were not crunchy and had no taste. The fish from the fish and chips was okay, but didnt taste like much. Somehow our bill ended up being £96, with only this and 3 cokes, even though one fish&chips is £18. A true rip-off!!!

They were friendly and the food came out very quickly! To be honest, the taste was predictable, but not bad. However, the French fries were so dry that I didn't really want to eat them. Two fish and chips and two beers cost about 53 pounds (about 100,000 won). The price doesn't seem to be cheap. Looking at it, it seems that if you take out and eat it at the table or nearby, there is no service charge and it is much cheaper! Next time I come, I probably won't bother eating at the table.

This was our first restaurant in London and they did not disappoint! The fish is so crispy on the outside yet so fluffy and soft on the inside. Don’t even get me started on their tartar sauce it’s everything we imagined it would be and more! Their fries/chips are very thick which we loved. It all paired well with their fried calamari too. Everything we ordered was enough for two people (and we were starved because we literally landed just that morning). Friendly staff and reasonably priced.

I visited this place and while waiting for the undercooked lamb doner to be made i noticed the guy at the back that cooks on this grill,food fell on the floor he thought i never seen him pick it back up off the floor and put it back on the grill Would i recommend big fat NO THUMBS DOWN !!!

Esto es definitivamente un 4 / 5 para un pescado con papas fritas con sede en Londres. Evitaría el trato de la comida del almuerzo que implica un poco de pescado. Si optas por el bacalao con patatas fritas de tamaño completo es ciertamente promedio a nivel nacional, y pagarás los precios de Londres. Pero es un buen bocado. Encontrarás mucho mejor fuera de Londres por el precio, pero si estás en Londres entonces este es un lugar decente. It is a traditional restaurant in the neighborhood. Freshly fried fish and chips are delicious. It's cheap if you eat it for lunch. This is the price tag for 23 years.

Gigs is a wonderful gem. The food and service are always excellent.

I only had a portion of chips to take away. Fat plump proper Maris Piper variety, perfect when dosed with salt and vinegar. Friendly staff and good sized portion (Large £4.80)

Great food, great service, absolutely delicious!

Decidió visitarlo después de que CharlieVlogs recomendara el lugar en uno de sus videos. El servicio era bueno y rápido; los hombres que trabajaban allí eran afables y eficientes. Tenía las 8 libras. 50 fish & chips pequeños y estuvo a la altura de la crítica; no te preocupes por comprar uno pequeño, el plato era muy generoso — no se meten con esas papas fritas! El pescado fue definitivamente la estrella del show, el bateador fue muy agradable y crujiente, le encantó. Hay una pequeña estación donde puedes añadir salsas y sal como prefieras. El lugar tenía grandes vibraciones, había un poco de bromas entre el personal y algunos clientes, se sentía muy bien estar allí. Volveré cuando vuelva a Londres de nuevo!

Decided to visit after CharlieVlogs recommended the place in one of his videos. Service was good and quick; the men working there were affable and efficient. I had the £8.50 small fish & chips and it lived up to the review; don’t feel worried about buying a small, the dish was really generous— they don’t mess around with those fries!! The fish was definitely the star of the show, the batter was real nice and crunchy, loved it. There’s a little station were you can add sauces and salt as you prefer. The place had great vibes, there was a bit of banter between the staff and some clients, it felt real nice to be there. I’ll come back when I’m back in London again!

Rude, not family friendly. Waiter was clearly grumpy as soon as he saw me come in with two young kids. They have no small/kid meals so I ordered a main and side and was told I had to order more food. Restaurant was practically empty. Wanted me to order a main for a 3yr old. Clearly don’t want to cater to families. Avoid.

We were alone in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. The fish was ok, the chips were a bit cool, the pureed peas tasted slightly burnt. What was very unusual, however, was the fact that we were made aware that only cash payment was possible. As agreed, I paid the hefty bill of £51.80 for two fish and chips, two soft drinks and one pureed peas in cash. I also asked for a receipt, but it only showed £43.70. When I intervened, two more receipts were printed until the total amounted to the amount paid. As a tax administrator, I would keep my eyes on this company...

Super lecker Fish & Chips, ein sehr gemütliches kleines Restaurant. Direkt an der U-Bahn Goodge Street gelegen. Der Fisch war Mega lecker und die Chips auch. Der Griechische Salat war etwas klein, aber geschmacklich auch sehr lecker. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Kann man ohne bedenken weiter empfehlen.

Lovely meal treating some American tourists to quality fish and chips. This is actually a Cypriot owned restaurant serving really tasty Greek food, but don't let that fool you, the chef sources fresh fish daily from Billingsgate. Very nice waiter. I'll be back!

On our last night in the UK we wanted some fish and chips and this place happened to be close by. We all were pleased with the food as well as the service. The portion size is massive. Fish was cooked perfectly and was not greasy at all.

Stopped by here while running around the city and enjoyed lunch here. Team are friendly and souvlaki arrived timely after ordering (helpful for quick lunch). It came with salad, pita bread and your choice of rice or chips.

Arrived at 12.15, had cod and chips. COD was average, with the skin on below the batter! Chips were tasteless. soggy and lukewarm at best. No wedge of lemon and tasteless tartare sauce, which was bland and not tangy at all. Left about a quarter of the cod and about 60 percent of the chips. The server, when asked, cleared the plate away without asking whether the food was okay!? I’ll not repeat or recommend.

A fish and chip shop Dublin style in the 1990s. My client had steak. Alls well that ends well. Thank you Gigs! (There seems to be a minimum word count on this website). If you want to live healthy, eat the best, come here. I have since 2006. Definitely in the top 10 London eateries.

Very clean restaurant and very good service. Had Cod and chips which was excellent. My companions had a chicken souvlaki and lamb souvlaki with salad and chips. Both enjoyed it.

heard about the fish and chips and so i decided to come and try! It was goooood! Not expensive too! Portion was big! Waiters were really friendly and they recommended a spicy sauce which was very good! Went around 5pm ish and there wasn’t a lot of people so the restaurant was pretty quiet! Heard about their fish and chips and thought I would try it. Order: 1- Hummus (with pita bread) 2- Mixed olives 3- Haddock The hummus and mixed olives that came with feta cheese were spot on. The fish and chips although were satisfactory lacked the traditional taste. I felt something was missing. However, it was fulfilling. The service is excellent and attentive and staff were nice and welcoming. Seating was available indoors and outdoors. Would I do it again ? Most likely 👍🏽

The food was good but a bit pricey - you did get a lot for your money though! The fish was not fresh fried- still good but not that crackling crisp you get when it’s fresh. Service was excellent :)

Excellent service from the two waiters who were working hard! Classic British fish and chips were excellent - the cod was very fresh and really good breading. We also got the taramosalata Dip and it was delicious, flavorful and fluffy and nice capers/onion flavor. Great beer of the week also. Highly recommend!!!

Popped in here for a casual meal. Ordered several drinks and starters, only for the waiter to rudely declare that they don’t do starters only. Asked us to move to a corner table by the stairs. Irony is that by the end of the night, we had also ordered full courses to share, and spent more than you would on just a full course anyway. That said, all the food we tried was bland and just about edible. I don’t know where these guys learnt to make fish and chips.

Ordered chicken for lunch - the chicken looked that it was cooked two days ago and just re-heated. Got a bad stomach bug because of that.
