Eves Sandwich Bar in Camden

Couldn’t find it. Was right where the address should be. Very disappointing start to the day. Hopefully the rest of the day is an improvement.

We inadvertently chose the smoking section, but thankfully there were not many smokers. The entire restaurant is very tastefully done with small hammock like swings interspersed with the regular seating. The lighting is very dim could be a shade brighter. The cocktails were hit or miss. Kochi sour was sweet. The phyllo cups were filled with sweetish cream cheese which could easily pass of as a dessert! The fusion dishes were the star of the menu. Fish tikka, prawns tempura, Broccoli small plates, quesadillas were exceptional. The portions are small but the taste made up for that. Both the desserts cheesecake and mousse were very good. Attentive and prompt service.

Went in here for lunch. Ordered Paninis which were very basic with only a lettuce leaf added. Not very appetising. Coffee not so good either and expensive. We will find somewhere else next time.

On the way to the British Museum we decided to get something to eat on the way. Rainy, windy and we just happened to see Eve's Cafe and stopped in. So glad we did. The three guys who were working were the BEST! So nice. The food was really good. Had a traditional English Breakfast and a ham-cheese sandwich. Delicious for both. Coffee was very tasty as well. As we were leaving one of the guys asks us to taste his chicken parmesan that was going to be the lunch special the next day and the chicken just melted in your mouth! Would have loved to come back for lunch the next day but we were just too far away. Kudos to you guys for a great cafe!! Loved it

Stopped in here several times while in London for work. The food was tasty and good value for money but what really makes this place special is the staff who make you feel like you've stopped by a friend's house for a meal. A friend with a niffy coffee machine!

A lovely place for breakfast sandwich, panini’s and a simple meal. Prices are very reasonable Ie:$4.20 for a breakfast sandwich Panini’s:$5.70I would suggest you ask for pesto on the panini as it is a bit plain tasting, but excellent quality chicken, bacon, avocado used! Would have appreciated a dip or sauce options placed on the bun. Very professional service, offers seats and to go options. Very close to British Museum I recommend it for a casual bite.

We came for a chicken escalope panini on a Sunday lunchtime. It was very nice and very good value for the location. Also they are open at weekends which is useful to know.

Friendly staff serving great fresh food and drinks. Wasn't going to eat much but then they brought out some fresh salt beef. It was lovely. Cakes and coffee all great too. Well done!

I have walked passed this narrow fronted cafe lots of times but have never noticed it before. It does traditional breakfasts, omelettes, panini and even porridge. I came in for a very nice cappuccino.

A hidden gem. Looks inconsequential. Yet has excellent breakfasts starting early. I ate around 7am or so. Fabulous food eg cheese & spinach omelette, English breakfast, etc. All ingredients are natural, fresh, not processed. Friendly and professional service. It's small from the outside so you could miss it. Has loads of room into a back room.

Piccolo bar / ristorante / pub dove è possibile mangiare a tutte le ore. Molto semplice e poco cool ma molto buono il cibo, oltre ad essere molto onesti i prezzi, 6,8 pound una colazione all'inglese molto abbondante e meno di 4 un caffè americano. Ho fatto solo colazione ma tutto dalla salsiccia ai fungi al pane tostato e imburrato era molto buono.

Trabajo en una oficina a la vuelta de la esquina y visito regularmente cafés y tiendas locales independientes. Tengo que decir que no volveré. Chaqueta ordenada judías de papa y queso - papa de chaqueta todavía bastante dura por dentro, fría. Frijoles 90% de salsa con una pizca de queso que se acaba de separar en aceite. Se cobró 2. 60 para una ensalada que era marrón y rancio, no podía comer nada. Mi amigo pidió un panini y luego cambió de opinión, habrías pensado que había abofeteado a la miserable dama que estaba detrás del mostrador alrededor de la cara con su reacción. El chico grande allí (¿el propietario?) Parece ser amable y encantador, pero paga casi 15 por dos papas y un poco de ensalada añeja que realmente espera más. Visite el café de hoja de laurel, a 5 minutos a pie, mejores precios de servicio y comida.

Hice cola para un sándwich hoy, pero me fui disgustado cuando el asistente sin guantes sacó la mano de varias ensaladeras y luego, cuando el cliente que estaba sirviendo dijo que había un poco de salmón. Lo sacó con la mano y se lo puso en la boca, luego siguió manejando la comida. Absolutamente asqueroso. Salimos y fuimos a un restaurante Scandi a la vuelta de la esquina.

After seeing the line for The Breakfast Club practically wrapping around the street, we decided to look around the area for an alternative place to try. We stumbled upon this place offering full English Breakfast.

I visited this 'cafe' years ago, when i used to live on Great Russell St. I'm British born. Not some tourist that's just got off the plane. I love the British caff. Love greasyspoon caffs. But when i visited here 20yrs ago!! It was just greasy! Greasyspoons have a certain character & charm. This place does not. It's scruffy, didn't look clean just like the overweight proprietor. It was a really hot day. I have arthritis & was desperate to sit, relax & have a snack. I bought a very rich tuna sandwich & mayo (very generous with the tuna, i admit that,) & a can of diet coke. (No garnish or salad with it. Just a plain old sandwich). I was thoroughly annoyed at the price. £5.50 for a bloody sandwich & a coke. Not a fry up & a cup of coffee. I remember why i stopped going there years ago. What a rip off. If they have the cheek to charge these prices. They should smarten the place up.

Visited on 1/8 with my daughter - just having arrived in London and wanting a light lunch. The sandwiches were excellent - cheese salad and bacon, avocado and chicken. Packed full between very fresh granary bread with a good texture. The gentleman serving was chatty, interested as well as interesting. He informed us he’s been going over 30 years. Well I say ‘well done’ you know your stuff which is clear by how long you’ve had this great establishment. Thank you!

Wow! Who would expect the Cafe I visited In Bloomsbury in the 70’s would still be there, on Great Russell St., serving up healthy food. You can sit in or out. The original owner is long since gone, but Rob Casali has taken over (last 30) years, and we appreciated the great variety of food offered. This was the day of the Trump protest march and we were in a hurry to move out of the way, so ordered a sandwich of chicken, cranberry and Brie. It is normally heated, but we chose cold and loved it. It was fresh, filling and satisfying. The locals eat here and folks doing research at the British Museum wander down the street for a quick lunch. This is a great place for lunch and we urge you to try it. We’ll be back the very next time we are in London.

Revisited Eves and had the best Wrap with Goats cheese spinach and sweet chilli sauce. Amazing. It was very reasonably priced very good value for money. Service was excellent will definitely be back.

When ever we are working in the Tottenham Court area this cafe is a must for the crew. Only regret is that we never have enough time to sample all the other goodies on offer. Great staff, very welcoming atmosphere.

Visited Eve's recently with my 2 teenage sons for breakfast. Super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was spot on and portions generous whilst being reasonably priced for the West End.

Estuve al otro lado de la calle y probado este lugar después de algunas buenas críticas en tripadvisor. No puedo explicar los malos comentarios, ya tengo que totalmente de acuerdo con las buenas. Este es un lugar pequeño, sin pretensiones, con una buena selección de comida sencilla que sabe muy bien - y a un precio razonable. Los sándwiches de desayuno son maravillosos! Hacen un montón de comida para llevar, así que no busque el ambiente. Dicho esto, hay unas pocas mesas en la parte trasera y en el exterior. Fui allí dos veces para el desayuno y no me decepcionó. Además, son super amables.

El apóstrofo en víspera de tripadvisor ha confundido la búsqueda! La señalización en el frente dice Eve's Cafe, y que es una mejor descripción de sándwiches. Solo estuvimos en la calle en el Bloomsbury Hotel y queríamos un sabroso desayuno sencillo. Las baguettes tocino y capuchino eran geniales! (y vimos a otros comer desayuno inglés que parecía genial también! ). Es quizás un poco más de 100 metros de Tottenham Court Road, así que bien vale la pena el desvío.

Called in on way to theatre. Lovely clean and nice service. Had Avocado with spinach and egg -lovely with a hot cuppa. Will definitely go again on one of my trips.

I stopped by here for a quick espresso. The coffee was fine. The place looked OK. But I was quite annoyed that in 2017 they wanted a 50p on a cup of coffee. Inexcusable & likely a cash grab because they are in a tourist area.

We visited Eves on 5/8/17 for mud afternoon snacks and drinks ! Really great atmosphere, really great food. The guys there are a great laugh and give off proper London vibes. The food was phenomenal. We had the shnitty's ! Was divine. Highly recommend to all.

Love this place. No frills. Wobbly tables. But good hearty grub (I've had three breakfasts there) with some amusing banter from a real Londoner (born in Hackney) who runs the place. The tea is made with tea leaves, (yes really, no tea bags) you can stand your spoon up in it, and tastes fantastic - many a fancy hotel doesn't seem able to master a good cup of tea! Give Eves Sandwich Bar a try.

Visited recently on way to British museum. Food below par. Staff look unhygienic and sweaty. Would not advise anyone to go there. There are plenty of places closer to the museum to eat or go up the famous oxford street or down to to trendy Soho instead.

Well I thought we would be charged a fortune being so close to the British Museum but we weren't and the quality was great. We only ordered a Panini each but they were really good. The table next to us were having for a similar price Lasagne and pasta - the only thing that stopped us what that we were eating later. Would far rather it in a café with home made food than a chain...and it was cheaper!!

We were staying at the Bloomsbury opp Eve's Sandwich Bar and popped in for breakfast . Their full English breakfast was lovely.. excellent value for money. Fast friendly service and a lovely greeting when we entered. Owner was very friendly. Highly recommend you go here, best breakfast I've had in years.

We were staying at the Bloomsbury opp Eve's Sandwich Bar and popped in for breakfast on our first day in London. And popped in again and again and again for the rest of our week long holiday. Their full English breakfast was perfect and ordered repeatedly, we tried over the course of the week - the breakfast sandwich, the chicken and avo panini, the spinach and cheese omelet and the smoked salmon scrambled eggs. All lovely.. al great value for money. Fast friendly service and always a lovely "Hi darling" from the owner when we entered. Thank you Eve's for making our trip xx

Reheated tea with steam from coffee maker. Cafe latte more like tar and cold, ash for more hot milk - which was hot but mixed the two together but still too strong. Jacket potato with tuna - dry no butter or mayonnaise and no taste. Would not go back. Owner/staff didn't show much interest - would be a little gold mine if they did. Microwave well used so nice if you like reheated food

This little cafe first of all is very attractive for its cute pocket size. Then you order and they are very nice, and quick! They also have great suggestions for the desserts available which vary on a daily basis. The paninis and sandwiches are very reasonably priced. Nice place for a quick bite, breakfast or lunch. Close to the main road.

Had lunch today and ordered Tuna Melt and chicken sandwich. Been travelling for nine weeks and best sandwich we have had.

Three of us needed a quick lunch before going to a matinee at Dominion Theatre. We had planned to lunch at a well-known chain restaurant next to the theatre. Luckily, our coach driver dropped us off round the corner from the theatre and right outside Eve's. It looked like a tiny sandwich bar from the outside, but we went inside to investigate and found that it goes quite a long back inside and can seat several people. The menu looked interesting (especially for a veggie like me), and unbelievably cheap, so we decide to venture no further.Our waitress was so friendly and helpful, and service was amazingly fast! Food was imaginative, beautifully cooked and presented and such incredible value for money. Atmosphere was friendly, lively and down to earth - certainly very individual and such a find. Will definitely return if in that part of London again. Can't recommend this highly enough if you want great, freshly cooked food, great service and real value for money. It was closed when we came out of theatre - no evening meals.

We had lunch and breakfast in this small cafe. Portions were ample with a nice beef lasagna and tuna melt for lunch. A full English breakfast is served all day, and we returned for breakfast the next morning. The service and the food were worth going back for.

On the way to the British museum we stoped to have lunch and it was a lovely surprise! They are very flexible and can prepare the food as you want.I had the smoked salmon salad with avocado and wine. I want to go back!

If you want a real London cafe, the sort that you can't find anywhere else in the world, come to Eve's. Very close to the British Museum but light-years away from the sterile corporate sameness of Costa, Nero, Starbucks, et al. The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxing, the staff are welcoming and witty, and the wifi is free. What more could you ask for?

I was here with my friend. She had full English breakfast and I had a ciabatta with tomato, mozzarella and pesto. We both had fresh pressed orange juice to drink. Fast, good and great value for money. This was my second time here and I probably come back.

The most cheerful cafe breakfast we've had in a long time! Welcoming staff, delicious and generous traditional English and vegetarian breakfast, good coffee, and very reasonably priced in spite of being in the centre of London.

Stopped here for lunch after the British museum. It's only a short walk away. Friendly staff and food was served quickly. Lasagne (6.20 gbp) had a nice, spicy kick to it. It was a generous portion with warm, melty cheese and bechamel and the ragu had nice chunks of carrots. The chicken milanese (6.90 gbp) had a nice crust and came with double-fried chips (fries) that were delicious as well as salad. Highly recommended for a quick, satisfying meal.

We were heading to a fancy restaurant we'd found on Google when we passed Eve's. Wanting only breakfast and always keen to support small business we decided to skip the fancy place and give Eve's a try.We were so glad that we did, as the owner/cook treated us like royalty when we arrived and promised that the food would be good. I had the Full English and my wife had the scrambled eggs with salmon. We both had OJ and coffee.The Full English definitely filled this Englishman and although it wasn't fancy it was all cooked perfectly and tasted great. The eggs and salmon, though, were in a different league and belonged in a far more expensive establishment. The Orange Juices were freshly squeezed and were excellent. I had a double-shot latte that was a little average, but still better than most that I've had in London, but my wife was very happy with her cappuccino (so maybe I should have just had a single shot).Overall, if you want a quick, tasty breakfast cooked and served by someone who actually cares, get yourself to Eve's for a hearty breakfast. We will definitely be back.

Excellent value and would call again as just around corner from St Giles Hotel where we were staying.

We had a great breakfast at Eve's. The wife and I both had the belly busting Full English and the daughter had the Vegetarian, all with lots of toast and lashings of butter and washed down with tea. Fantastic, fuelled us for a day's shopping and was full until supper time....

Close to Tottenham station, this inexpensive and delicious diner blew us away. The service is prompt and goes above and beyond the expectations of a hungry traveller! We had such a good experience we kept coming back. Chef even cut us up some melon to snack on while waiting for our meal out on the patio - a meal that came out 5mins after we ordered. You have to eat here! 5 stars! :) can't wait to return!

It's pretty simple: we ate there 5 times in 6 days! 5 breakfast there! The breakfast are not very expensive, and very good! In summer they have a little terrasse, we were eating there it was so cool with the sun! The waitresses are very nice, very kind and always seeking to provide a good quality service! The cook is very nice we talked to him few times, and really the breakfast was very good! I 100% recommend it to anyone!

Not sure what it's like to stay and eat in, but (taking the food away) it was very unfriendly, with no one very keen to serve - and a ciabatta is not a panini (not just being fussy about the bread, but a ciabatta turns to hard-to-chew rubber if it's toasted). Disappointing.

We stumbled into Eves avoiding the pouring rain returning from the museum to the Tube. Loved the friendly service, very authentic with sandwich recommendations. I ended up with an off-menu prosciutto, cheese, tomato, and rocket panini. Simply delicious. We'll definitely go back.

Was staying for a bit of work and holiday weekend in London with my wife. We stayed at the Bloomsbury hotel across the street. We ate here for breakfast each day as well as snacks. Wider selection and more of a London experience than the posh hotel breakfast. Avocado and spinach fried egg on toast is what you want.

Ver a avaliação do Gresham Hotel) decidimos parar neste pequeno espaço.Pequeno mas é muito acolhedor, o atendimento excelente, todos são de uma simpatia total e pintalgado com aquele british humour..Pedimos o Full English Breakfast e não ficamos desiludidos. Bons ingredientes, bem preparado e com um preço muitíssimo bom atendendo ao que obtemos e ao facto de estarmos numa das cidades mais caras da Europa.Se arranjar um hotel melhor nestas vizinhanças, volto lá com certeza!

We immediately felt welcome and at ease.We were in London for 4 days, wanted to try 4 different places but just came back here the 4th day. Would have loved to try lunch there too.If this place was local to where I live, I'd become a regular.

2 of us ate full English breakfasts plus 1 diner had coffee for about £20 on two mornings. The food was cooked to order. The waitress was on the ball and very pleasant. Seems popular with contractors working in the area, so expect it to be busy.
