English owned and very nice food

Got a takeaway recently, food was lovely but I've never been charged for liquor from any pie shop before. Very strange as liquor is part of the meal

What a lovely little gem of a cafe in RM8. Really clean, bright, airy with generous portions and a huge choice on the menu.

This cafe is in the heart of Barking. They cater for a variety of tastes and I love the combination of bacon and salad in the BLT. The salads are always fresh and the serving area is clean. The staff are attentive, but not over bearing. I think this is an ideal English cafe

Very good and the food was great value nice indeed.

No vegetarian options and rude staff. Not difficult to offer a cheese and onion pie or curry roll

We ordered orange juice expecting a fresh, natural drink, but instead, we were served a , carbonated orange beverage. This was disappointing, as it was not clearly mentioned anywhere that the juice would be carbonated or pre-bottled. We were looking forward to something fresh and authentic, not a fizzy, processed drink. Clearer communication on the menu or by the staff would have helped manage expectations. I hope the restaurant considers offering freshly squeezed juice in the future.

Haven’t been here for years, decided to have a nostalgia trip to Barking. Wish we hadn’t , although Cristinas remains a little gem. The steak frites are wonderful, beautifully seasoned steak, tasty fries and even the leaves had a pleasant dressing. Excellent service and a good price for such a nice meal. The toilets are spotless , always a bonus

Came for dinner on the Indian night and The food is outstanding! Very good portions, papadoms and dips were free and the food was better than our usual Indian restaurant. Would recommend coming. We will be coming every week. Staff are very polite and helpful.

I was looking for a dog-friendly pub where they can sit with you inside due the weather not being so great and the Pipe Major appeared in my search. We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to the designated area for guests with dogs. We have no complaints about the food we ordered, they even have a menu for dogs and there were definitely no complaints there. Thank you to the friendly staff for their service, it was wonderful to be able to go out with the whole family for a bite to eat.

Great friendly local karaoke nights are well supported. Bar staff are great. Home from home for me lol

Brilliant customer service, warm welcome. Great prices. Good selection of beer. Have never had a bad evening in this pub or a bad drink.

Bed ridden with covid ..ordered for my kids ..the food came very quick but was by far the worst food id seen in a long time ..everything swimming in oil ..they replaced the dish which was ment to be biryani but was nothing more than runner beans swimming in oil ..and the replacement came swimming in oil too ...wont be getting our custom again

Dinner was awlful waited an hour even though no one was in there my steak was raw gravy was cold it advertised it came with mushrooms and tomato no there was only onions and lots of them chips were warm
