I am a very fussy eater and I must say I was worried when I saw my steak but when I took a bite it was cooked to perfection and the flavour was so tasty and steak was juicy and soft. Potato skins with shredded meat & cheese sauce (omg my new addiction) they tasted so nice and the cheese sauce was so yum! My only complaint I have is you have to pay separately for a sauce to pour over your steak. I ordered peppercorn sauce which was £3.50 for a small pot. I think for the price you’re paying for a steak 1 sauce should be given complimentary or you should be allowed to swap a sauce instead of having gravy as no one on our table ate the gravy that comes with the steak. Other than that everything was amazing. Thank you ♥️

Came here with my friend for an after church brunch food was fantastic steak cooked well, however wasn't the greatest fan of the brisket burger as beef was bit tough but everything else was cooked beautifully would come again

Best stake house I know!! Worth the money!

Been here a few times, but this time was an absolute shambles. Didn't have a reservation so waited outside. Was told it will be around 20 mins but took an hour. Ordered our food and was later told that they didnt have some items so suggested extra wings, which was fine as we were hungry. Waited half hour for food for it to arrive. The worst part was we started eating for the staff to come oit and say they gave us the wrong order and took the food from our table and said they will be back. In bemusement we waited another 20 mins for our steak to be cold and had to be redone. They did give us additional food for the mistake but by then hunger had finished. Clearly understaffed as tables all around were not clean. Very disappointed!

We ate here while on vacation from the US. The food was so good and the service was great. Shaun & Marina were so kind and attentive. We thought it would be a narrow menu because it was a steakhouse, but was glad to see the brisket burger and whoa. It was like butter, and the apple crumble was also delicious. For drinks, I recommend the passionfruit lemonade, holy cow, it was SO good!

Shawn and Marina were both amazing, very attractive and friendly. WANT TO DEFINITELY RETURN!!! The Brisket burger was AMAZING!!! Both and tender and juicy not expensive DEFINITELY worth it. Grilled chicken steak SOOO DELICIOUS!!!!! Again tender and juicy potatoes and carrots all so so delicious. Dessert, the apple crumble was a perfect finish to the dinner. GO TO CHISTINAS STEAK!!!!!

Great atmosphere, unfortunately the waitress chose not to write down a simple order of 2 steaks+ 1 side + starter. Both steaks incorrectly cooked - Mac and cheese overcooked. Prawns were really nice. No real apology or compensation offered.In future just write down the order, and say sorry when a mistake is made

Lovely sirloin steak and good service - Bone marrow is a must try, tiramisu brownie was a dessert lovers heaven, passion fruit lemonade another highlight.

I highly recommend the brisket steak, I throughly enjoyed the BBQ burger made from brisket steak. It’s been slow oven cooked for 24 hours, so they claim. I won’t argue with this, it literally melts in your mouth and retains all its flavour. Absolutely delicious! The chips (fries) were baking hot and complimented the burger really well. The waiter recommended a dripping sauce (house made). To be honest, I didn’t want to use it on the brisket steak, but it was perfect for the chips. Staff are very friendly, service was great, food well exceeded my expectation. Atmosphere in the restaurant was convivial and relaxed. Everyone we was enjoying there meals. I highly recommend Cristina’s.

Food was incredible. Very big portions of flavoursome meat exactly how I wanted it. We had the big platter and the brisket burger. So much goodness. Even met Cristina herself, so sweet! Cannot wait to come again and try everything else.

Have been dining here for years with the family and has always been excellent. Group of 8 of us with 3 kids today and service was amazing and food was great.Our Server, Edit was very accommodating and welcoming and we have a fantastic meal.

Haven’t been here for years, decided to have a nostalgia trip to Barking. Wish we hadn’t , although Cristinas remains a little gem. The steak frites are wonderful, beautifully seasoned steak, tasty fries and even the leaves had a pleasant dressing. Excellent service and a good price for such a nice meal. The toilets are spotless , always a bonus

Disappointing. The quality of the food here has really gone down, which is such a shame because it used to be reliable for good food. Really hoping the iftar menu was the problem and perhaps an issue with preparing so much food for a whole restaurant of people for roughly the same time. I need some time before I can return though. I vouched for this place and it was such a letdown.

Worst steak ever I had, the food was cold. Not tasty at all. Fries were even worse. Only good thing was the smashed burger. I found it worth to eat. Price was quite high which was 46£ for the food in the picture. Overall it was disgusting experience!

We ordered the Ramadan Platter. The food arrived and the steak we received was not medium rare and was required to be taken back to the kitchen multiple times before it was corrected. This did result in the food getting a little cold but the server did give us the rest of the platter to take away the steak we had an issue with, which I appreciated. However once the food arrived for the price point the amount was extremely underwhelming not only to mention the price was increased by £20 for the platter only 2 weeks after the initial price was set, but the most recent social media post showed the old price making me think social media influencers were given a different price. Furthermore the food was not that great and as mentioned earlier the portions were so small for the £88 for 4 people platter that I wouldn't ever recommend this. Ofcourse the platter would probably be gone after this month but the food was not worth the money and I would not recommend this place for anyone who wants to get their moneys worth. Further to my previous review, I am not sure if I also got food poisoning as I am now ill after having this meal. Not sure how they cook their meat but something is up.

We came for lunch for Mother’s Day. We were greeted by a nice gentleman and seated promptly. I ordered the rump steak which I requested medium rare and it was more on the rare side but to not cause a fuss I still ate it. The fries that came with it were nice enough but the mac and cheese was very basic and not worth the price, was not tasty at all. My partner ordered the lamb Sunday lunch was not that fussed but said the potatoes were nice. There were two strings from the lamb in the food also. Bearing in mind we had two young children, we waited an hour for our food to arrive, we were not advised or even spoken to, to be apologised for the wait. When my partner asked a member of staff (blonde slender woman) about when the food is coming she said “yes. It is coming.” And walked away. She was rude and ignored us the rest of the time we were there. It’s coming… when? In 5? 10 minutes? It took another 15 minutes to come. There is no baby changing also, they can place a changing table above the toilet if need be. I had to change baby on my lap in the toilet which was difficult to say the least. We asked for service charge off which did not surprise them as they didn’t ask why. Unfortunately the service really lets the place down. I would not recommend.

Price increased and steak was undercooked however this was fixed after sending it in twice. Overall food was nothing special and abit bland but the environment in the restaurant is nice

The place is absolutely amazing with lovely steakhouse specific elements and very clean. We ordered two smoked brisket burgers, and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and plentiful (the sizes are perfect for a hungry belly). The customer service was exceptional. Well deserved 5 stars. Keep up! We will definitely be back 👌

They should give a little bit more importance to the delivery process; because the burgers are not really nice when you are ordering at home and also the requirements for extras they are totally ignored. The sweets are nice still :)

Absolutely amazing place for steak and their sauce 10/10

Service was wonderful the staff were attentive and starters came out on time as we came here to have Iftar. The Ramadan menu platter was good value for money. However the starters we felt were not good value for money it should have been a bit more substantial. The buffalo sauces on the wings were bland and the potato scraps while tasty didn’t strike me as value for money. The mains were good value for money and the drinks were nice and refreshing.

I visited Cristina’s five years ago, and back then, the food was a solid 10/10. Naturally, I had high expectations coming back after so long, but unfortunately, this visit was a complete letdown. We ordered the Ramadan platter, and right from the start, things went downhill. The BBQ chicken wings tasted like they had been sitting around for a day, completely lacking freshness. Then came the main platter. We specifically asked for medium rare steaks but received them rare instead. On top of that, everything arrived cold. Not even lukewarm. Cold. We had to ask them to send it back, only for them to just reheat the food and throw the steaks back on the grill for a few seconds. No care, no effort. To make things worse, the price jump was shocking. The platter was advertised at £68 in a collaboration review posted just three days before, but when we checked the menu, the price was suddenly £88 for a four person platter. That kind of inconsistency leaves a bad taste, literally and figuratively. Overall, this visit was a massive disappointment. Cristina’s had once been a place I would highly recommend, but after this experience, I cannot say the same anymore.

We ordered the Ramadan platter from £36 which we ordered last week to £44 this week. We asked them why the price had increased and they said the food has changed but they didn’t have knowledge of what was changed. They had added 4 small wings and took away the dates, complementary falooda, mozerella sticks and large chips (which were called included in the previous week when charged £36) it is ridiculous to have a increase in price and less items. It appears as though Ramadan is being used to charge customers more but give people less food which will not fill them up for Iftar. Further to this, when I had asked the waiter what they were charging for, she said “I had just started my shift” and could not specify why the increase of price or what new items were being added staff should definitely be given more training. Will not be eating here again.

Nice cozy restaurant on the main road. Asda next door for parking as well some paid street parking spots. The two ladies who were there on the day were very welcoming and did a great job with the service We ordered the Ramadan offer for two. The steaks were well cooked but lacked flavour in our view. Bit more seasoning would do a great steak. Got a non-alcoholic pinna colada - could do much better on that

Went here for a post-gym meal and it was lovely! Very good value for money, especially the special menu they have on for Ramadan, a really great offer. Service was lovely too, with great waitresses. Would happily go back.

Amazing food at affordable price & brilliant customer service.

We started off with some starters and to be honest my favourite item was the flash fried chilli prawns that we got. Offering a kick with some juicy prawns. We also got some potatoes shavings with cheese which was delicious. Our mains was the Sunday roast where the chicken was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were huge! We got a rib eye which we asked for medium which was okay. The chicken and mushroom pie was delicious although could possibly use some more filling although the pastry was great. We even got a couple desserts with the brownie tiramisu being fluffy and yummy with its different concept. The apple crumble and custard was a throwback and provided that homely feel, the crumble was absolutely amazing.

Enjoyed lunch ordered the steak and it was amazing. Fresh food tastes like homemade ♥️

visited the restaurant today, the steak tasted of cheap quality meat and as a result myself and my mate felt unwell. definitely won't be visiting this restaurant again, reading other reviews im not the only dissatisfied customer.

The worst customer service ever. 2 waitresses run the whole show and are always overworked. They are consequently rude and the management are even worse. The management came across very aggressive. And the steak was horrible. Freezing cold. The hygiene is questionable. Food came out piece by piece. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Absolutely delicious, the best smashed burgers I've ever had. I've been coming here for years since they first opened, and the quality of the food has been consistently outstanding. The staff are so polite and incredibly accommodating, even with orders that are awkward or a little difficult to adjust. Lucky to have this place on my doorstep!

The food is fantastic..steaks, burgers the lot...very pricey for barking..had a meal with the mrs + 2 kids meal and soft drinks £100 (Includes a £10 service charge) of which I felt was excessive as service didn't even come with a smile or any form of enthusiasm from the waitress and being the only customer in resturant, I expected alot more for a Wednesday afternoon. This would have been a place I visit regularly if it wasn't so expensive 😅

My favourite restaurant in Barking, definitely! I’ve been a few times now, each time was perfect! The food is generous, tasty, and fresh. Their steak is top notch, their lamb was so tasty and falls off the bone, and their burgers are just so fat and delicious! I love their crispy tater tots and their mac ‘n’ cheese. (Bring back tater tots!) I highly recommend the homemade lemonade too. I’ve also ordered takeaway online, and the food is just as good as if you were there. They don’t cut corners. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating, and the restaurant space is lovely - plenty of space for buggies/wheelchairs, and the toilets are on the same floor. A really good place, come visit!

Been meaning to go check out this place for ages now. Finally had the chance after so long and it was definitely worth 🙌 Got a couple starters for us; Chimmichuri Steak Bruschetta - cooked perfectly, amazing refreshing chimmichuri sauce. Cheeseburger Spring Roll - definitely a unique taste. Literally taste like a cheese burger in a spring rolls. Can't go wrong 👌 Flash-fried Prawns with Chilli - tasty and fresh prawns (the wife's favourite) For mains i got the The Mess burger which was literally messy just like its name. The brisket was cooked really good and which rich bbq sauce the mac n cheese balanced it out very well. The wife got the Smashed burger which she loved. Nice juicy and crunchy just how it should be. Got the little one 2 mains (she could choose whatever she liked from both dishes) Veggie mac n cheese and the Baked beef meatballs. Both tasted really good and fresh. She enjoyed both but the veggie mac n cheese was her favourite. Definitely will be back here we all enjoyed our food and the friendly and accommodating staff made us feel very welcome. For sure a 10/10 highly recommend 😊

I went with my boyfriend the other day for some dinner. We got the chimichurri steak bruschetta and prawns for starters… amazing!!! both the dishes were soo good. For mains we went for the tomohawk with a side of the mac and cheese with the brisket on top, and some chips. the streak was cooked to perfection!! it literally melted in our mouth. it was a bit too much for us to eat so we did leave with leftovers, but cannot complain. the mushroom sauce and the chimichurri went amazing with it! We were way too full for dessert but i can say from previous visits that their apple crumble and the brownie tiramisu are sooo good!!! the service was also amazing, as always. Edit made sure everything was okay and due to her being so talkative, she also provided us with entertainment haha. They will be seeing us again very soon!! definitely recommend.

Been coming here for years now but after today’s visit I can say the food and service standards have dropped severely. Appalling service. Super disappointed, won’t be coming back any time soon.

The porterhouse and ribeye steaks were ordered medium-rare. However, the porterhouse was excessively tough, containing an unacceptable amount of connective tissue rendering it difficult to both cut and chew. Therefore, the dining experience fell short of expectations and did not justify the cost. Service was exemplary; our server was attentive and offered a sincere apology.

The service here was attentive and they are family friendly. The food from the main menu is good although they do massively overdo the salt. The food from the main menu is worth 4 stars in parts but their roast dinner unfortunately for us was pretty poor and we would give it two stars at push. To get a reservation for the roast dinner you have to order well on advance as they get booked up early so we were glad when we managed to get a spot. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointed as it had an insane amount of salt, it was all we could taste. The level of salt felt like it was an accident as it was so overdone and must have been the result of someone just knocking over the salt when making it. We did raise it but got told that it was normal. If that is normal, then I highly advise not ordering. If the salt was massively reduced and a normal amount was used then this could have been a great roast dinner but alas on the occasions we visited it was not the case. The bao bun start was decent but the jerk wings were tiny niblets with a some jerk sauce smothered over them so a pass for them. If you know your jerk, then you’ll want to swerve these. The steaks also appear to come one notch down from what you ask so medium is actually medium rare. The steaks come pre sliced and compared to other steak houses. Cristina is distinctly mediocre and for a similar price you can get much better. The beef brisket was on point though and a highlight and definitely recommended. Unfortunately this place was much better back in the day but still worth a visit.

What can I say other than I'm shocked this is the third time I have been here. First time was some years back. When we went there originally the Food was amazing juicy fresh and tender especially the brisket burger cooked to perfection. Second time we went there tried the brisket burger seemed very dry, the beef drippings and potato skins were decent. Recently I thought I would give it a try again with a friend of mine. When I meant the brisket in the burger was dry as anything I am not joking really disappointed from what it was to what it's become. That brisket meat was probably dryer than the burger bun itself. The smash burgers were absolutely shocking lacked proper taste and just lumped together with minimal effort. The potato skins which I ordered as backup incase food was substandard came out terrible literally like biscuits barely any potatoes moreso skin. Additionally the beef that went in it is now nicknacks literally barely any taste in that too so was hugely expensive let down. The waiting staff were too busy. Overall I would never come back here again. It's sad really as i had thought the brisket would be nice like the first time I went there, but second time disappointed.
