Had a 30% voucher for main meal but honestly after eating that carvery and they guy who served it wasn’t the friendliest.. only the beef and gravy was nice … terrible carvery .:. Skip and go Toby for some good food and good customer service … just felt disappointed and give me a 90% voucher off … I never will go back … gave har carvery so many chances hopefully next one be nice but nope and the server just was icing on the cake .// take care of your customers they keep your business running !!!!

We visited today for lunch and discovered there was a fun day going on, we ended up staying for much longer then we originally planned as our children were having a wonderful time and couldn't believe there was a minion in Dagenham! Food and drinks were lovely and very tasty too ! Thankyou for such a great day !!

Had dinner with my family at the Pipe Major and I have to say it was excellent. Fantastic relaxed atmosphere,great menu full of pub classics and very friendly staff. It really couldn't have been nicer. The Atlantic cod and chips was honestly the best I've eaten.....I highly recommend this pub if you want a great meal. The Lasagna was fantastic.....eaten here on a few occasions and the food and service has always been great.

Meeting at the Pipe Major for a last minute family catch up ended up with us all in the garden,. A beautiful afternoon watching the kids play and enjoying the late summer afternoon

Fancied a quick drink after a long day at work, bar was a little busy so I used the Order & Pay at table. Drink was served within 5 minutes which I thought was good 👍 What was really great though was the fact that this pub has just one section with TVs ready for the Euros and I was reassured that I would still be able to just pop in for a quick drink or meal even when games are on without being overwhelmed by football fans.

Very nice atmosphere. Jo at reception was a lovely and welcoming and made the day even more enjoyable. Very warm welcome and good food.

What an amazing place, the food was top notch, but the service was stellar! I was served by KATIE, firstly, she’s easy on the eye, but she knew exactly how I wanted my steak, I was salivating while she explained it would arrive, juicy, tender and full of flavour! At that point KATIE placed my cool cold beer in my hand and smiled as she said enjoy… Wow, she was right, great service, awesome food, and all with a smile. I cannot recommend The Pipe Major enough, and like me, if you’re served by Katie, you will enjoy the experience even more. Top notch. A*

From the night before for prep, to the moment we arrived the following day, we were greeted with a really good welcome and staff could not do enough to accommodate everyone's needs. The service was impeccable and very professional. Food was fresh and well presented. Would recommend anyone to consider The Pipe Major for any event. Congratulations to all front and rear end staff.

Julie and the team especially Jo, go above and beyond at this establishment they are friendly knowledgeable and alway’s kind & attentive. The only complaint I would say which I am sure comes from head office is the portions, I was told I am only allowed (very abruptly) that I am only allowed 1 very small peace of stuffing even though had ordered a medium roast (sometimes it’s not what you say it’s how you say it) Also my male friend had Apple crumble and his portion was just enough for a small child! Your desserts are not cheap and that was ridiculous!

Me and my family are weekly regulers, Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, Food is lovely and cater for everyone, there's a lovely beer garden with a secure park for the children, although if your looking to come for food on a weekend I advise to pre book

Carvery is always top class here, and value for money👍bonus is if you have a sweet tooth you can order dessert to takeaway, but the best thing about the pipe major is the staff, always friendly and welcoming, that is something that is rare today and we need to see more off. Thank you pipe major 👍

I arrived late as I was staying in a budget hotel next-door. I had eaten and just stood at the bar having a drink. I was glad I did as I got a cabaret. Elise runs a bar perfectly, laughing, joking, serving very efficiently and a permanent real smile. I really enjoyed the hour before closing time. Elise was a gem.

The food was really good but the stand out was the really friendly service. Various staff went out of their way to help an elderly friend so that we could enjoy our meals. They did this without being asked and were kind and helpful without patronising. We're frequent patrons, so we have come to expect this high standard is the normal, not the exception.

I visited the pipe major yesterday with a colleague, hilly I was passing through from Cardiff. I opted for main menu and she had carvery. The service we received from Julie and her team was wonderful and the food was spot on. We had a warm and genuine welcome with hot, fresh, well presented food, and all for a great price….what more can you ask for? We polished our meals off with a lovely hot cup of coffee 👌🏼 10 out of 10, will return when I am in the area next.
