The Lord Denman in Barking and Dagenham

Venue has wheelchair access. Don't often get a pub with a jukebox. Managed to get in on my mobility scooter. Will definitely go back.

Unfortunately they no longer do food but they were incredibly helpful and friendly including the locals. Lovely beer garden

A former Wetherspoons now charging central London prices. A grubby , jaded and unwelcoming establishment to which I will never return.

Very quiet Sunday lunch, but pool table now installed also jukebox.

This pub is no longer a Wetherspoon, and doesn't do food or real ale.

Love the denman.. bar staff are pukka!! Always say just pop in for one then stay for 2,3...10.. oops lol new garden is great! Atmosphere is always good.. like every pub, get one or 2 idiots but never leave without a smile on the old boat face 😊

Word of warning ** This is no longer a Wetherspoon pub ** It’s not been for some time but strangely the owners have kept the name and even the decor inside is Wetherspoon branded. Staff were pleasant enough after I stopped in for a quick pint. It’s a locals local now. You get stares of suspicion if the regulars don’t recognise you, that sort of place. But, didn’t bother me, they were ok. Very strange boozer though. It’s as though the management have just left the pub as it was when spoons handed it over some years ago. Toilets could do with upgrade, lots of graffiti too. Probably wouldn’t go back.

This pub is such a friendly and welcoming place. Popped in after a long day at work. Got off train and thought id have a quick pint before dinner. Ended up 5 pints later after long conversations with barmaid and customers. Nice to have a friendly local.

Very interesting place and welcoming staff. Closes early during the week but on Fridays and weekends becomes very active with music with a dance floor. The smoking area also has heaters with is a plus. By far the staff are the best aspect, often found mingling with people on their breaks and just being quite friendly and welcoming. One time I ran out of cigerattes and a staff member on their break in the smoking area offered me one.

Popped in this great pub on way home with the wife. Great location near station. 3 pints, 3 large bacardi and cokes later and all under £30. Great prices, very friendly welcome from the lovely barmaid. Cant fault my local at all.

Amazing place , amazing atmosphere..we were there for my friends cum brother's inauguration..Had a different feeling but when the music started it was amazing ..The bar tenders were so nice and polite plus not to miss the typical Punjabi authentic food which they had 😋😋 never tasted such a lovely food in england until now...Fun place was it for family and friends to enjoy..

Yes due to the virus their was a strange atmosphere here. Looked like a whole heap of drunks in their. Yes it was hard work to get a pint, but it was not the barstaff fault.

At last we can visit the pub with my family. Lord Denman has rode the storm and come through into calm waters. A visit on Friday was as enjoyable as always with cheap beer, friendly staff and a relaxing family atmosphere. Long May it continue.

I take my mum there on a Friday and Sunday lunch times for a couple of drinks, my mum is 91 and she likes it, but it is not bad as Dagenham is now limited to pubs. We meet at the Heathway station and walk down, I come from Hornchurch and my mum comes from Beacontree

Don’t believe the poor reviews on here left by customers who have been barred. This pub is trying to make a name for itself. It is slowly eradicating the troublemakers and riff raff that give this place a bad name. Hence the poor reviews. Prices are low and it’s a great place to have a family drink or a meal.

I order a pint of Kronenbourg beer without knowing that the price has gone up this week by 20 pence to £3.50 . I have made a complaint the bar staff order different beer !

This is NOT a Spoons. It's dirty and the beer is not good. TV s on diferent channels, volume up. and they're playing music very loudly. Again THIS IS NOT A SPOONS.

I've never had a worse breakfast I went here because it had wetherspoons above the door. It's definitely not a wetherspoons it's disgusting.

It is what it is tbh food not very good and it's not really the type of pub to sit down a eat get very busy and very loud they have music aswell but if ya want a Friday night local this would be the place I suppose

Tremendous atmosphere excellent services.

Fantastic pub, great buzzin atmosphere, kids are welcome and it has a great family feel. You can chat to almost all the regulars, find out about what’s going on around town and relax with a cheap, quality pint and some great speedy served food.

a lot of chatting going on which is good for the atmosphere, but too many drinkers in there, very embarrassing when i took my family there . Everything we ordered was either going to take a long time or they never had it , ws very embarrassed as the drunk people kept starring and talking to my grand daughter , felt well uncomfortable

Drinks reasonably priced, stopped serving food early but did allow anyone hungry to get food outside and bring it back in . Carpet and furnishings need replacing.

Walked past this place many times,never been in there before today, me and my sister went in for a drink after shopping, ended up having a bit of lunch I had fish and chips surprisingly it was very nice quite a shock really we will be going back.

Beer has improved , Heineken much much better, chilled glasses. Prices good. Needs a refurb but still a great pub.

Popped in for some food on the way home from work. This place is right by the Heathway station so on my way home. Had a burger and chips and two pints and had change from a tenner. Awesome pub and cheap grub. Gotta Love the Denman.

Visited twice in a week. Great food, freshly cooked and friendly staff. Cheap beer too. Good family pub.

Staff have changed and you get a really good service now.

First impression it's just a pub with drunks and layabouts but it has a nice restaurant at the back and a garden. They have special food deals on selected days. I have eaten in this pub many times and I have always enjoyed the food and the people are very nice. I have never had any problem whilst I have been to this pub/restaurant

This is the worst weatherspoon I have visited. It is dirty poorly run and the only reason to go there is it is local.

Well it’s a weatherspoons and you get good quality ,low priced grub and drinks, however the crowd isn’t too friendly.

Nice place to eat and relax and have a few drinks

Real Ale in good condition despite it being the hottest day of the year. Service was fine. We didn't eat but there are menus. The staff tended to shout across the pub to each other. Some customers are a bit loud. An average Wetherspoon's.
