The best restaurants serving British food in London

Just about everything on the menu was "off" and the chap serving was surly and rude. Made Fawlty Towers look positively welcoming. Don't touch the place with a barge pole.

Terrible lugar Fuimos con un grupo grande, unos 30 de nosotros, para una hora feliz después de la oficina un viernes. Esperé años para tomar bebidas cada vez. . . Parece que la estrategia es servirle despacio para que las horas felices terminen rápidamente. . . La primera bebida fue una pinta de Peroni, la cerveza estaba rancia y tenía un sabor desagradable. . . Cuando me quejé con el barman, cambió por otro Peroni. . . Lo que también estaba rancio. . . Claramente necesitaba cambiar el barril, varios de mis compañeros lo intentaron y se lo dijimos nuevamente. . . Pero él se negó y siguió sirviéndolo. Cambiamos bebidas y seguimos. . . Luego, más tarde en la noche, un camarero diferente echó a perder una orden y causó confusión entre algunas personas en el bar, donde un chico afirmó que una chica había tomado su bebida, se produjo una discusión y un guardia de seguridad vino a echarnos. Toda nuestra fiesta pronto se dio cuenta y todos decidieron irse. . . Debido a esto, la mitad de la barra se vació. . . Este lugar tiene una gestión deficiente, un servicio lento y una resolución de conflictos terrible. No pierdas tu tiempo ni tu dinero. ¡Hay lugares mucho mejores en Covent Garden!

Looked good on the menu but in reality was awful. The veggie sausages were cold and didn't look as if they'd gone anywhere near any heat, the avocado tasted like it had only just been defrosted with hard lumps in and the other items hardly edible. The trouble is at London City Airport this is about the only place to get a cooked breakfast so they've got a captive audience.

A wonderful local bakery! In a world of overpriced chain bakeries this is an absolute gem. Fresh baked goods that never fail to disappoint. Always a great experience.

What a s**t hole !! Beds uncomfortable no bar no restaurant! , the nets at the window are a lovely shade of grey with a delicate edging of mould . The decking is rotten and god knows where you will end up if you fall through ! Bathroom skirtings are mouldy and the silicone is hanging off in places Avoid!!

Visitamos a un cumpleaños de un amigo. vivieron en los alrededores y decidimos probar algo nuevo. Pedimos cócteles como el sexo en la playa y no sepan bien sino una mala combinación.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times recently. Being not too crowded it has been ideal for lunch with business contacts. There is plenty of space between the tables! The food and wine selection is perfectly good and service staff attentive. I shall be going again!

El café está bastante cerca del puente de la torre, así que después de mi amigo y pasar tiempo alrededor del puente en la noche buscábamos un lugar donde comer una buena comida India y Bangladesh. El café tenía buena comida en el menú. Probamos algunas canasta de pollo, Curry de la India, así como pan. Pero lo que más me gustó fue que algunos papad con algunos picante pickels. Fue un regalo para el paladar de la prueba. Pero el lugar es muy completo por la noche y tuvimos que esperar un tiempo para conseguir la comida que se sirve.

This is a popular restaurant and I can see why. The pizzas are lovely with thin, crispy bases and fresh toppings, baked in a wood oven. The staff are friendly and the food is great value.

El horario está mal. Solo están abiertos de 12 a 3 pm, lo que es decepcionante ya que condujimos a través de la ciudad para el desayuno. Comí aquí hace unos años y estuvo bien.

Always liked Gail’s and the scones are really excellent and a favourite. A few things do sell out quickly which I suppose is good for business, but disappointing when choice becomes limited later in the day. I really don’t get why cash isn’t taken? I don’t like being forced to use a method of payment i don’t want too. It seems bizarre in these challenging times why any business should refuse payment in whatever form it comes.

La buena noticia es que la comida estaba deliciosa. La triste noticia, pero no sorprendente, es que era caro. Tres comidas para niños, un bacalao con patatas fritas, una hamburguesa con queso y bebidas era de aproximadamente £ 85. En realidad nos cobraron £ 106 por error - un Cod & Chips extra se llevó a nuestra mesa y se había añadido a nuestra factura, lo que resultó en un sobrecargo de £ 20. Pero el personal era servicial, resolvió el reembolso inmediatamente y nos dio un recibo. Sugiero ir al café en su lugar, o traer un picnic para ahorrar dinero.

This outlet pre dates covid ,and was a regular stop off for me when getting a train from London Bridge , the food was fresh and hot , Today , I thought i would grab a roll and a coffee , as train wasnt for 20mins Had Ultimate Breakfast Roll and a black coffee The roll was Luke warm at best , and the contents were dried out and devoid of any flavour . The roll was stale and very dry . This came to £8.10 !! Many a high street baker / pastry shop can do a sausage / bacon roll thats edible and good value , with Simmons being the best at this . If you are in the locale , suggest you go to Leon or Macdonalds or Costa for a coffee breakfast roll , it will be less expensive and not give you indigestion !!

The service with Asda has been awful. Many times my online order has been incorrect with missing iteam or with wrong iteam and even had expired iteams. I was given a incorrect item on my online order that had nuts in and therefore if one the children had eaten would of caused sever medical issue. However Asda felt this was not there fault ....and to refund or compensate. Please always check your online order ideally avoid Asda totally.
