The best restaurants serving British food in Walton Tendring East of England

I had Lamb Kofta with rice and a lovely fresh salad, hubby had Mackerel and bass in lemon and caper sauce, both were most enjoyable. Another pleasant evening at the Naze Cafe. Also at breakfast they do the best bubble and squeak.

Found this gem of a pub after a beach walk with my wife, brother and his wife and our 3 dogs . Hadn't booked a table but made extremely welcome and had a great meal. Please if you have the chance visit this charming old pub.

Takeaway pie and mash is always consistently good. Service is usually friendly apart from today. Whoever served me wanted to be somewhere else.

What a fab find. Cracking fried tasty breakfast served on a hot plate by friendly staff at a very reasonable cost. A little gem.

Really enjoyed our visit - the tower is amazing with differing art and craft displays on every floor, which breaks the climb up the 111 spiral metal stairways . Amazing view from the top. Cafe has an outside shepherds hut servery, with hot menu items prepared in the tower and served outside or on first two floors cafe seating. Super friendly staff.

Visited Walton and Frinton on Boxing day, for a walk along the front. Stopped off for a bite and a drink. The lady serving, was polite and happy. She was very busy, but explained there might be a 5 min wait for the food. She was very good and wanted to being the food over when ready. The bacon roll, hotdogs and chips came and were all good. Happily recommend.

Went for first time today. Had the roast beef dinner but unfortunately couldn't eat the meat as it was so tough. Could hardly cut let alone eat it. Yorkshire also tough. My partner had same problem. Also we had to share a small portion of veg. Should have realised when we arrived that we were not going to have a good experience as at 1.30pm there was no one else in the restaurant and it was a Sunday. Needless to say will not go again.

My friend and I had a great experience having food from this cafe. The staff were very friendly and the food was very delicious. The ambiance and the cleanliness of the cafe deserves special mention:)

£7 for a small bottle of rose wine had tap water instead barmaid not bothered avoid this place we didnt even bother to look at the food menu take out another mortgage, came here 2 years ago wouldnt botber again

There were three of us who enjoyed a fabulous Sunday roast dinner. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and cheerful. We'll definitely be coming again. Lovely atmosphere.
