Fantastic restaurant!🌞💥🍽 Delicious food that you really have to try💥🥘prepared quickly, you can see that everything is fresh and at a very good price that is not too high (10f-big English breakfast)🥗🫕 very nice service :) there is also a lot of space inside, there are also a few tables outside, the atmosphere of this place is really pleasant💥🥘🍽

Last year we had a great breakfast so we came back this year and were disappointed. I don't know if the owners or chef has changed since last year, but the food was nowhere near as good. I spoke to the manager last year about the excellent food and he said they used a griddle. This year was greasy yet dried out bacon and cheap quality sausage. The setting was ok and it was clean. Good they have outdoor seating. Just disappointed by the quality of the food so sadly won't be eating there again.

Only had coffee but was nice fair price

We were a bit complicated - 8 of us, arriving in small groups, some vegetarian. However we had very good breakfasts - with many odd requests; even Toasted teacakes. Service very nice and friendly. Food ok, standard fare, but with lots of choice. Didn't turn a hair at our hyper 7 year old, well done. Price fair too

Had british breakfast , first ever experience in uk , at good taste cafe , delicious and was enough for whole day . Very nice place with friendly staffs. Only problem is need to search for parking .Its at centre location .

lovely food i ordered to small breakfast but didn’t want egg and they asked if i wanted extra of one of the other items instead which not many cafes do. we went around 11 and it was quite quiet. our food was ordered within a couple minutes and the food was very tasty and was served quickly along with drinks. the picture was us half way through our meal and it was delicious! definitely recommend :)

Clean, bright and decorated very warm and homley. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Had a veggie breakfast and a oatly coffee. Great find. Thanks again. P.s waitress who served us was gave extra attention to my toddler diner granddaughter. Wonderful service.

NOT dog friendly ! No dogs allowed inside . I walked miles to get here as google search said this place was dog friendly, to discover , nope !

The waitresses are friendly aspecialy one we know her name is Gorgie and the food is good food.

I took a lady I was supporting on a day out to Walton. We went here for lunch. The staff were helpful and courteous. The food which was basic was well cooked. There were plenty of customers which is always a good sign of a decent cafe. My only issue was lack of vegetarian food. Having said that the halloumi salad roll was lovely.

Waited so long for 2 paninis, not impressed with the taste either. Don't expect service with a smile.

Visit whenever I am in Walton to maintain our beach hut . Always good for a big hearty tasty breakfast , sets me up for the day . Staff are efficient and friendly and in the morning it seems to be a meeting place for locals .

Food not upto much.. rude service. Had a problem with my meal and got told its not a restraunt. Its a cafe. If there's one plus the apple crumble was nice. Which was the only positive I could take away.

Big portions, low prices, really low quality ingredients. Go to Biancas. Went first in 2022, seems to have slipped since then.

Good Taste Cafe...what a joke...should be renamed to Rank Taste Cafe. Breakfast was awful.. poor quality cheap food..they couldn't even do the toast properly...don't go here theres a cafe opposite, try them. Staff could do with a smile....don't waste your money your only be disappointed. I can only assume all the good reviews are fake here

This cafe is nice and clean. Reasonably priced. Staff very nice. Food 10/10. Would really recommend the breakfast and jackets and the sausage and onion roll.

My wife and I have been here a couple of times just for hot drinks. Both times we found staff polite and efficient. Tea and coffee was okay and priced reasonably. We will return next time we are in Walton.

Visited this lovely cafe while we were on a weeks holiday and could not fault anything about it.My hubby and brother said it was the best liver and bacon they have ever had,very tasty,hot just delicious.The staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you,absolutely loved everything about it and needless to say when we return to Walton we will defo make a B line for this cafe.Well done girls.xx

A really good waitress service. The breakfast was ok but fried eggs were over cooked.

Just plain rude the owner was aggressive and disgusting needs to take a good look at himself as for the food absolutely disgusting wouldn't feed to my dog this place needs to close permanently

Came for lunch as the menu was less expensive than some of the other cafes and chippys closer to the sea front- so glad we did, it was brilliant. Had a Big Breakfast, Scampi and chips, and 2 kids burger and chips, plus drinks. Food came quickly and was piping hot and delicious. The kids said their meals were "better than macdonalds" which is a compliment from them! Staff really nice and friendly, and they gave the kids a lolly each as we paid the bill. Top notch.

Screaming kids,had to wait ages before we were served because the owner Oscar was canoodling in the kitchen with the blonde rude waitress A bit pricy and small portions,very shocked because this use to be a great cafe,

SO DISAPPOINTED FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTINGLY OVERPRICED, WITH A POORLY AVAILABLE MENU ,WHEN IT DID ARRIVE THE FOOD WAS UNDERCOOKED WITH TERRIBLY SMALL PORTIONS THE EXCUSE WE RECEIVED WAS THAT THE CAFE HAD LOST THE REGULAR CHEF !!NOT THE SAME AT ALL NOW. WE WERE GIVEN A MEASLY 10% DISCOUNT FOR FOOD THAT WAS IN EDIBLE. AVOID THIS CAFE NOW BEFORE YOU GET FOOD POISONING

Called in for a breakfast on a Saturday morning with my partner. The place was busy but had a good atmosphere. Ordered 2 small breakfasts with toast and tea, Delightfull! Very swift service - the waitress was shooting about keeping everybody happy and making a fine job of it. £15 for 2 - very reasonable. Will go again without a doubt.

Food took ages to arrive. Mine arrived stone cold and had to be sent back. Then the actual taste of the food was horrendous and we couldn’t actually finish the meal - went to Tesco for a sandwich in the end. Honestly would not bother at all. Over priced, lacking taste and horrible.

Hi Fri 7th July 2023 had breakfast my partner is in a wheelchair the young lady waiting the tables was so helpful to make sure Steve was able to get to a table and all staff were extremely polite lovely fresh clean environment and food was lovely and good value, definitely will visit again thankyou Deborah.

Tuna sandwich was fine. Jacket potato with tuna was very poor.

One of the most delicious breakfasts I have had for a while. Well presented, very tasty, good polite service. Well worth the visit if you are in Walton on the Naze.

Popped in for a brunch and we loved the breakfast. My only complaint would be my black coffee was an instant... We will be back as good value..

Delightful! In recent years Walton has started to lose its way but then you suddenly find a gem like this... We opted only for a bacon bap and sandwiches with tea and coffee and was surprised by how crammed with bacon the roll and sandwiches were! What a wonderful find and a real boost for Walton-on-the-Naze...

Always where I stop for breakfast when I'm in the area, even better now they've taken over the shop next door too, so much more room. Staff were super friendly, food came really quickly nice and hot....perfect poached eggs!

Food OK , Waitress had a bit of an attitude but did redeem herself . Standard cafe grub but the poached eggs were excellent

A lovely cafe with wonderfully kind and obliging staff - Chevonne, Magda, Ebo etc. I use this cafe regularly and although the food is basic, it is of a decent standard and reasonably priced . Their coffee is always very good.

Clean and well presented . Very friendly staff and well cooked food . Even the other customers were welcoming . Would recommend to anyone .

Stopped off to get something for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, decor, and the quality of food and service . We had coffee with our meals, and it also was a good mug of coffee . I would definitely recommend this place for a place to stop off .

Stopped here for a spot of lunch whilst enjoying a walk from Clacton to Walton and back. We all had a hot drink and a sandwich/bap/baguette all with a hot filling as it was a chilly day out. Good service, drinks delivered quickly (£1.50 for a mug of tea) the food was clearly freshly cooked and still very hot when delivered. Clean toilets, so altogether a good choice, so recommended 👍

Good home cooked food at a reasonable price. Currently being extended into corner shop next door. How they are staying open and still cheerful I dont know. Food hygiene standards are still first class. Can't wait to see finished work.

Nothing like picture on menu showed lovely burger with all the trimmings served a plain cheese burger in bun that tasted horrible shame as I have been here before being refurebed at moment maybe new owners NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN

Our family decended upon this lovely cafe and took over all the outside tables like a plague of locust. They served us outside and we had our drink orders quickly. I had a fantastic hot chocolate, my partner a good cappacino and the kids milkshakes looked lovely. Would stop by again.

Visited the cafe this morning and received a friendly welcome. Inquired about gluten free options and unfortunately unable to accommodate or give specifics. This wasn't a problem as there were still food items on the menu that could be eaten and we were recommended another cafe to go to. We did stay and had breakfast, eggs cooked to our liking, well presented and tasty. Clean and tidy eating area with condiments set up on the table. Would highly recommend to those that love a cooked breakfast at a good price!

The very best breakfast around these parts, this is the breakfast others within Frinton & Walton should follow. The fried bread is a lovely guilty option I do opt for every time. Naulty but nice. Staff are very hardworking and kind. Top marks for a beautifully presented breakfast...thank you to all at The Good Taste Cafe, ( the clue is in the name) *****

Arrived this morning as last resort being the only cafe open. I have been here before and the food was terrible then. However I wanted to take my daughter for something to eat so thought I would stomach the grease filled, cold food for the sake of it. However!!!! As I ordered the basic breakfast, the beans were Luke warm, I took one look at the bacon and nearly ran to the toilet to be sick. The bacon rashers were blue/ silver where the food was off and had been left out for too long 🤮 . I pushed my plate aside and waited for my daughter to finish her toast. The waitress came over and asked what was wrong with my food, I told her the bacon was off. She apologised and said don’t worry I won’t charge you. As I got to the till to pay for my daughters toast the waitress stood for a moment hmmming and arring, she said I don’t know wether to charge you for the breakfast because you did order it but didn’t eat it. I said I wouldn’t be paying for the breakfast as the food was OFF! She did become embarrassed and let me just pay for my daughter. The food is dangerous!! They should never have bought it out to me in the first place! Will not be returning! Ever!

I deliver locally to here and this is my second time stopping to grab a coffee, 1st time was a young lady served me with a smile and very friendly, second time i had an older lady serve who kept me waiting for my change whilst she tried to find some which wasnt a problem as it had not long been open but then when she was sorted just put my change in my hand and walked away asif id caused her the problem, i said thank you as walking out and no reply atall, i think maybe the younger lady needs to give her some tips on customer service, over all tho the coffee was delicious on both occasions

Sorry to say but... One of the worst breakfast cafés I've been to. Staff might be friendly but thats nothing to compliment on, as thats standard requirements/practice in this industry anyways. So here is my reason for a 1 star. Asked that my toast be a bit longer toasted. Asked by waitress "like burned?" i replied saying not burned just actual toasted. Food came. My toast was BLACK. I mean... BLACK. Like its a joke or done on purpose. Just as we were about to eat (what we could), the girl behind the counter friend turned up and started chatting so loud the whole cafe had to listen to their conversation. The whole time we had to hear about her ringworm infections and the actual details of it all... For the whole meal. I mean... Its common curtacy not to have this type of discussion out loud so everyone trying to EAT needs to hear. Not once were we asked if the food was all ok. The vegetarian sausage was deep fat fried to the death, didnt eat. Never again tnx.
