Not local to where we live so stopped off on a journey home. What a great find, excellent homemade food, great service, very friendly and made us, and our dog, feel very welcome by staff and other customers. Will definately return and certainly recommend.

Lovely Sunday lunch as usual, Skye(frenchie) loves all the fuss she gets. And my husband found his wallet when we got home. 🙈

Just popped in for a drink whilst in the area on holiday. Lovely pub. Nice staff. Will definitely return when in the area again and perhaps have a meal next time.

Myself and my wife went here for dinner today with my mother and our son we all had something different from the menu and it was all just great. Real homemade dishes, I highly recommend going to this lovely pub great outdoor seating area and nice to see dogs are allowed in.. friendly staff we will definitely be returning to this beautiful pub 👍

Good atmosphere and lovely people

First time visiting, what a great friendly place, had a brilliant rock and roll musician playing getting people up to dance. Hope I'll get the opportunity to visit again. I didn't eat, hence mid way score, but heard it is good. Thank you x

have to say food and service is spot on, does nice food and a fantastic roast. nice quiet and peaceful. atmospher is a bit to quiet for me and seem empty alot of the time but that might be of the location. but cant have it both ways, either quiet country side or busy town.

After a dreadful experence down the road, from this lovely country pub, i called the snooty fox to see if they were able to accomadte 7 people for lunch to celebrate my mums birthday, they were more than accomadating got our table ready in seconds. The food was amazing, the attmosphere was welcoming and the service was brilliant. Our server Lucy was brilliant she couldnt of been anymore helpful and friendly. As a family we would really recommend this establishment. They cant do enough for there guests. Thank you Snooty Fox.

What a lovely welcoming place the staff the food the place x After a very bad experience at the Kings Head waiting 1hr and 1/2 to be served frozen food starters my family and i seeked refuge at the Snooty Fox . The staff were so welcoming they acommated us straight away. We explined it was for my birthday and they were only too happy to help A young lady Lucy was very professional and took orders got our drinks . Sorted our table to accommodate us all food brilliant tasty definitely recommend. Whist there another family arrived also disgusted with the service of Kings Head Frating

It was all jolly good we had three courses and all very nice plenty of meat on the roast beef

We had a family birthday meal booked at a different venue but ended up walking out as it was so bad. We phoned the snooty fox, and they could not have been more helpful sorting a table out for all party. Lucy, the waitress, provided amazing service. The pub it self as a proper old pub charm. The food is very good. Nice portion size. Tasty and very reasonable priced. Thank you, Snooty Fox, for saving the day.

Me and my wife decided to go for a drive out and find a nice place for lunch we we came across the snooty fox pub in frating we were surprised to find a lovely little friendly pub the staff were really nice the food was excellent I had cottage pie and it was really tasty the prices were very reasonable and the snooty bitter went down a treat all in all what a great place to have lunch we will definitely go there again 👍

Staff very friendly dog friendly and children welcome

Came in with my family and dogs. The ribs were out of this world. One my restaurant favourites. But these had to be amongst the best I've ever had. Congrats to the chef. I meant to do a review sooner. Next time in Essex def give this place a whirl

Sunday dinner for 5 people and a dog. Very dog friendly. For starters we had garlic mushrooms with French stick and cheesy garlic bread. Could have done with more than 2 thin slices of a demi baguette with mushrooms (very thin French stick if it was). Mains were roast beef, 1/2 rack of Ribs and steak burgers. All very good and well worth the money. Pudding was apple crunble with custard.

Popped in Tuesday afternoon for a couple of pints as a change from our usual haunt. Very friendly old school pub. Haven't tried the food as we only want a friendly couple of pints on a Tuesday afternoon. P.S. We weren't trick or treating. We always look like that! Lovely. Carl (husband of Caroline).

Our first visit to the Snooty Fox, and we will go back. Lovely staff, very good food and very reasonable prices. New item on the menu was a brownie and ice cream sundae, and apparently I was the first to have one! Thoroughly recommended!

Staff are friendly, lovely spot, it was quiet when we went so not sure about the atmosphere and we didn't eat.

As soon as you walk through the door you know you're in a very friendly and welcoming pub. The staff really are among the most congenial and helpful I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Some fantastic music nights on offer as well. I look forward to see how their menu develops, particularly for non-meat eaters - I'm very confident it will be fabulous.

A table of 5. Very welcoming staff. The table service we received could not be faulted. The food was lovely and was served as hot as it should be. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Friendly locals. The pub allows dogs and they gave us a bowl of water for our dog. Would recommend.

Don't know how this pub has 5 stars. Must be family and friends posting them. I wouldn't give the Snooty fox one star. We went in there to have some food, but we decided not to, because the table next to us, was sending their food back. The place was cold, dirty, and my drink didn't taste right. Like the pipes wasn't cleaned out properly. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Better pubs either end of the round to go to. I had a nice meal in the court house pub I wouldn't recommend. The courthouse at the end of yhe Road, is a lot better pub.

This “man” has never stepped foot inside the snooty fox pub. His allegations towards The Snooty fox are false and are bitterly written. This pub is a lovely county pub with lovely owners and staff. This man is trying to ruin a good reputation just out of spite. These comments you have been making DEAN, have been recorded and reported. You will not bring a good business down because you’re a very bitter man. Your issue has NOTHING to do with The Snooty Fox. What you have done is make slanderous accusations and vile comments. You’re just trying to bring a good business down. The police have been informed for your constant comments and harassment towards the establishment. We don’t take things like this lightly especially from someone who has NEVER stepped foot in this pub. Had the roast beef Sunday lunch and it was delicious, as was the apple pie. Lovely friendly staff, and a child friendly pub. Will be returning soon with our granddaughters for lunch.

We had an awful meal here on 20/2/23. The BBQ ribs were like chewing boot leather and my partners Gammon steak was like a rasher of bacon. The saving grace were the chips which were nice. The dining room was very outdated and freezing cold. Go elsewhere to eat...try the Court House at the end of the road...you won't be disappointed

Went recently for a roast dinner with family, we all enjoyed our meals and had great service from the staff Me and 3 family members Later returned for a meal on a Saturday lunch time we had homemade burgers, homemade lasagne and hotdog and chips for the child with us All meals were delicious Will definitely return If you haven’t been then yourself then definitely go and give it a try

Nice little local pub which (relatively) recently changed hands. Traditional bar area and nicely decorated spacious (and warm!) restaurant space (Kitchen open Thursday-Saturday). Large outdoor area and kids play equipment. Good standard pub food on offer. We came on a Thursday lunchtime when they were doing a really good value pensioners meal offer (mains for £6) while I had a hefty full rack of ribs - and we were happy with what we've got Lovely people and well worth a visit. Adverts for Saturday night Karaoke and there is a monthly musician's 'Jam Night' due to start in January 2023.

Lovely find on a Sunday arvo. We had a veggie roast and a burger, quick service and tasty. Nice company for a chat and a few glasses of wine. Easy to find, easy parking. Recommended.

Went in yesterday just looking for a late lunchtime bite. Went to the bar and asked if they were serving food in the bar area for people who hadn't booked, told they were. Ordered drinks then checked the menus that were on the table, then went up to order menu in hand. Was told I was standing at the wrong bar to order food and to go to the next bar over (not sure this was needed as only one person at either bar). Went to next bar and waited and waited and waited, I mean it wasn't the longest wait but when three members of staff are standing with their backs to you staring at a till they are having a problem with it makes the wait seem so much longer. Customer service, acknowledge your customer. Finally was told there might be a wait for food as we weren't booked, this isn't an issue expected that when not booked (however the place was not busy at all, maybe six tables total inside and out). Then went to order and was told "on no we don't do that food just the Sunday roasts on the back". At this point we just finished our drinks and left. The lady who I assumed was the land lady came over and did try and help as we were leaving and explained they were only just starting food service in the last few weeks and were getting used to everything. The food wasn't a problem it was - Not telling us when I first asked at the bar before ordering drinks, so ended up wasting my time and money. The people behind the bar having no customer service skills. Smile, apologise for the wait, explain what is going on, acknowledge your guest. No website we can find, which would have saved us trouble with the menu if we could have checked before coming. The outside areas of this place are done out very nicely, with comfy looking furniture, but the inside needs work. Behind the bar is very cluttered with boxes, niknaks and other bits, which makes it look untidy and not very clean (I'm sure it is clean but the impression given wasn't great) lights off in part of the bar area (where the dartboard is) the pub is a dark old building and having lights off doesn't help. If the owners are new, as I suspect they are then they need to get the menu sorted. Only roasts on a Sunday and not even light bites on the bar, not great when you're heading into a heatwave. There are two very good and busy pubs either end of the same road this pub is on (Kings Arms and courthouse) and I'd pick either of these before here.

When we got our drinks, there was a huge spider in one of the drinks under the ice.

My girlfriend ordered a pre made mojito and there was a massive huntsman spider in the glass. Clearly the glasses haven’t been put through the washer. The fact it was a pre made mojito meaning the glass had definitely been washed.

Wow... The food was definitely worth the wait...!!! So as it turns out today 12/6/22 was their first day of serving food. Yes they were packed, a few teething problems - Yes - To be expected really... They really did not disappoint, the food I rate 9/10. Portion size and Quality were both "spot on". The atmosphere was lovely, good selection of drinks... Theres something for everyone at this place. Highly Recommend (book a table in advance 👌) Family and Dog friendly we'll be back for sure

Recently reopened so a little difficult to rate. First impressions are it's warm, friendly and clean. Do a very nice pint of Aspells and had a good selection of other beers and larger on offer. Hopefully starting food in about a month.

Es un flaco servicio a lo llaman el Snooty Fox. Fui para el almuerzo hoy aquí con 4 amigos. Nos encontramos con un miembro del personal y nos llevaron a una mesa. Nos quedamos encantados con las opciones del menú del almuerzo de 2 platos por £12 por 15 libras. También había una junta de especiales y otro menú. 4 amigos tenían el plato de salmón ahumado que me dijeron era delicioso. Los platos principales, hígado o pescado o jamón elegida por nosotros eran muy bien presentado y más que suficiente y muy sabroso y se sirve caliente. Uno de nuestros número tenía una petición y satisfizo la dieta sin ningún problema. Tuve la tarta de chocolate rico y chocolate. El menú cambia con frecuencia. También tuvimos una excelente taza de café. Un tiempo maravilloso almuerzo reunión con amigos

The white rose ( was called the snooty fox ) what a change the pub is now doing great food and and the landlady and staff are amazing we have been twice since they changed to the White rose and both times food great service great , before the pub looked about to shut but we heard it had changed hands and thought we wouldTry it and I am glad we did it's lovely and we are now planing to go again for a friends birthday

Visited for lunch on Easter Saturday at 1 pm but place was in darkness. No cars in car park and no one answering the phone? Went to Black Boy, Weeley, which was fabulous!

Netter und gemütlicher Pub. Ich bin hier eher zufällig reingestolpert, aber war positiv überrascht. Das Essen war gut und die Atmosphäre angenehm. Schien ein Familienbetrieb zu sein und es ging sehr freundlich und jovial zu. Eine typisch englischer Pub halt.

Como una muy exigente con la comida me sorprendió gratamente con la comida. Era perfectamente preparada y sabía aún mejor. El servicio de atención al cliente era genial. Odio esperando para comida y bebidas para un largo período de tiempo y, en la mayoría de los restaurantes es la norma, sin embargo, aquí la comida y bebidas sirvieron rápidamente y con una sonrisa.

fuimos a comer mientras visitaba a unos amigos. buena comida y una buena relación calidad-precio comparado con mi zona (Herts). El servicio era excelente y el personal encantador y hablador. Sin duda volveremos otra vez la próxima vez que vaya a esta manera! grub suculenta adecuada! Esperamos que la próxima vez : D

Visitamos mientras que por el sur con algunos amigos locales de la zona. saludados agradablemente tan pronto como entramos y sirve bebidas rápidamente. Todo nuestro grupo había diferentes platos y la comida era genial. Todo parecía recién preparado, y el bistec fue preparado a pedido. El personal era muy atento a nuestras necesidades y estamos todos muy amables. El ambiente era precioso. Precios razonables para lo que yo considero comida superior de pub. Sin duda lo recomiendo y seguro que vamos a volver a probar el asador.

El lugar estaba en la oscuridad cuando llegamos a la hora del almuerzo.Éramos los únicos en allí, así que nos sentimos la obligación de estancia.pero más tarde nos hubiera gustado justo a la izquierda antes de pedir la comida y la bebida.tarta ordenados del día que cuando llegamos era anodina, y la carne dentro era difícil y demasiado cocido.Las verduras estaban recién cocinado.Con bebidas, así que volvimos a £25.00que estaba bien caro teniendo en cuenta que la comida que se servía acceder gratis.No me sorprende el lugar estaba vacío, sin gente para ser visto a la vista.No volveremos para una segunda visita.,

Utter disappointment. Very long wait for food. Pate served with 2 pieces of bread you could see though they were so thinly sliced the size of tangerine, Asked for some more and felt out of order as if we had done something wrong. We will never return here ever again the landlady is possibly the most miserable unapproachable person I've ever came across. Not once during the whole bizarre experience was we asked if we was ok or how the food was otherwise I would have told them this to their face.

Excellent home cooked best I have had for some time. The beef was perfect crisp roast potatoes . Real fire was roaring in the bar

The publican & his partner\wife were the most incompi8tant people I have ever met.1) The lager shandy ordered was flat when gent complained publicans reply was is it. gent asked for a replacement . Publicans reply what if that is flat.It was obvious to any competent barman that if it was not flat he had originally used a greasy or dirty glass.2)All the prawn cocktails were tasteless.This course took 45 minutes to serve and clear..The roast beef was so tough you could have soled your boots with4) There w2ere only 4 staff including the publican his wife a temporary chef & a commie chef . There were 12 of us then 15 minutes later a table of 24 turned up. These were allowed to go to carvery before us . This meant that our veg which were cooked after the dishes were all empty as the 24 used them all . Our veg had only been blanched. 5) We then waited another 30 minutes for our plates to be cleared & were asked what sweet we wanted . Then a long wait for it to be served.ONE THING IS FOR SURE WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. & I HEARD TABLE OF 24 SAY THE SAME THING..6) After we had all paid our bills which in several cases they tried to overcharge us, I was informed that 4 had not paid. In fact it was their mistake as several had paid for more than 1. Publican said he would go & check. After 10 minutes I went & asked his wife about the bill her reply was it was all paid for. Neither of them had the good manners to come & say they had made a mistake or say sorry our mistake.Neither of them could add up.7) It took then three hours to serve a three course meal that was well below standard.3)
