I haven't been to Dunwich for about 15 years. I remember there used to be a great tea room back then that my mother recommended! This must have long since gone! We had walked cross country from Southwold forgetting what a long walk it is We discovered dingle tea rooms at the end of the walk in a rural setting. It's a lovely setting with extensive barns and tables. Having frequented similar establishments in other parts of the country I thought we were in for a treat Nothing was wrong with the food it was just a little uninspiring. Very plain cakes and prawn sandwiches made from those tiny prawns you buy trozen. All nicely served by attentive waiting staff it just lacked that lush factor that you sometimes find in these sort of places. Maybe my expectations were too high.....

I stayed there 23rd for wedding anniversary, well it’s living on the past , fine dinning restaurant , well that’s a joke they have no fine dining, It started with the room we walked in thought that’s nice 4 poster but there was cobwebs and dust on the bed , went to the bathroom there was cobwebs everywhere, there is no excuse for that , the teabags weren’t enough for 2 people , they hadn’t touched the room for I don’t know how long , There was a knock on the door had to order the meal I was very disappointed a choice of 4 meals , if we hadn’t booked there was nowhere to go without driving , Saturday they were closed for food

Came with friend's & our dog's yesterday and sat in the bar. The first thing we noticed was the good choice of food on the menu and secondly generous sized portions when the neighbouring table had their 4 meals arrive. When ours arrived (all very well presented) 2 steak and ale pies with mashed potatoes and proper veg (omg excellent) 1 vegetarian quiche with new potatoes and salad (extremely tasty) and lastly the ham egg and chips (again good quality ham, 2 fried eggs and the chips an excellent tasty plateful) Only one of us had room for pudding, a Bailey cheesecake with icecream and very well presented and nice. We are so pleased we heard wonderful thing's about this lovely village pub and decided to give it a try as will most certainly be back. To the chef a massive thank you and keep doing what you are doing.

The newly reopened King's Head, under new management and with an all new menu, aims to create the best burgers and pizzas in Suffolk using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. It is no exaggeration to say this has been achieved, and then some. Me and a friend arrived on Thursday. We were warmly welcomed and seated. The service was prompt, friendly, welcoming and caring. The pub itself is cosy, clean and comfortable. We loved the music choices playing at just the right volume in the background. I had the 'Bad Santa burger' (a name choice which I very much approved!) Within it was the tastiest turkey I have ever had, battered and with a crispy crunch. It was garnished with bacon, brie (my favourite cheese), lettuce, tomato and salsa. The chips were fantastic. The portion was generous. And the lotus biscoff spongecake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a mint leaf was simply marvellous. If I had to recommend any pub in Suffok for lunch, the King's Head in Yoxford would be top of my list. For all the pizza and burger lovers out there, this is the pub for you. The prices are fair too. I can't wait to come here again sometime for another burger, a pizza or even just a cup of coffee. 10/10. Highly recommended.

On a rainy cold day in December we were welcomed in to this cosy yurt by the owner and staff and served delicious food, and hot drinks. Well worth the journey down the lane off the Blythburgh Road. Open 10 'til 5pm. Ignore recent poor reviews from those who only ever seem to have a bad time wherever they go - If you like something different then you will love The Yurt at Potton Hall. We will be back!

Staying very nearby on business and finishing earlier than expected, we stopped by for a cheeky pint on a dull November afternoon and stepped into the wonderful Ship Inn which was immediately welcoming with its cosy atmosphere, groovy decor, log fires, soft charming cool music and a tantalising aroma of food! The aromas got to us and we succumbed to the squid and the whitebait. The freshest and tastiest whitebait I have eaten in several decades ( cannot stop thinking about it! ) . Charming staff, clearly well run. Friendly locals. Lovely menu which we intend to fully exploit next visit! Impromptu and quite incredible!
