Nice fresh , well cooked fish really DISAPPOINTING chips , for an establishment that pretty much exclusively sells fish & chips, the chips were poor- like low quality frozen out if the bag chips with no flavour 😕

Banana blossom vegan fish and chips is not on the menu but is usually available if you ask for it. Very enjoyable! Recommended!

Lovely fish and chips bread and butter mushy peas and curry sauce. But remember to save room for the Knickerbocker Glory and the sherry triffle that has a real hit of sherry. Lovely lunch in the sun.

Enjoyed a wonderful fish & chip lunch here yesterday with Eastons. i am 83 and coming from an east anglian fishing family i know good fish and when its cooked well its superb here. i have booked to visit with Eastons coaches again next month. George.

First visit to the Flora Tearooms, went with family and friends. I was looking forward to my lunch as I had read the good reviews on TripAdvisor, sadly it wasn't to be. The cod with one of our meals was extremely watery. I had coleslaw which I couldn’t eat after the first taste as it had an overpowering taste of salad cream. Sauces and mayonnaise etc you have to pay for. The only good thing about the Flora tearooms is the view.

Great cod and chips, shame about the dogs on chairs and table. Won't be visiting again with a hygiene risk like that! Shame, as the food is good but whose to say what catch of the day the dog might give you

Flora Tea Rooms, Dunwich Dunwich Would have been a long wait to get a cuppa. 947702802 Had to queue up behind a massive line of people getting fish and chips just to get a cup of tea. Didn't bother in the end. Then on Facebook they post a condescending reply. Shows the professionalism of the owner. I was just stating it's a long wait for a cuppa. I wasn't asking to get in front of other paying customers. They really should get the facts straight before they start with your moronic replies. My feeling is, is that the owner cannot take any form of constructive comment.

Amazing lunch for family of 4. Portions were so big we couldn’t eat it all. Staff were all very friendly. Especially for us fussy eater. Latte was the best for some time.

Frankly the worst Fish and Chips I've ever eaten. We ordered 2 x Cod and 1x Plaice and all 3 meals had extremely watery fish (suspect frozen or very poorly cooked). Served with a handful of McCain style chips. Ironic such poor seafood a stones throw from the beach. The restaurant layout in rows is uninspiring and appears designed to maximise the number of customers over any dining charm. Felt very 1970's. Avoid!

We stopped here for breakfast before a walk. I had some coffee cake, which was amazing. My friend had their vegan breakfast, which she said was amazing as well. We would come again!

Great place and friendly staff! We stopped here yesterday do a quick snack on a muddy cycle ride, we had two pasties and two lattes. The owner at the back is friendly and chatty. I love this place because it does exactly what it says on the tin, simple done well! I often cycle this way for chips with my twin sons in the summer to get them into the forest and away from their screens and never disappointed!

We have just enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Flora Tea Rooms. We’re not local so had no idea what to expect from a seaside cafe but what a success; so pleased we parked here and stumbled upon it. We both had cheese omelette as we’re vegetarians but the menu was extensive and the meals going to the other tables looked just as generous and fresh as ours. The chips were to die for and the side salad was so much more than your usual lettuce and cue, with beetroot, peppers and coleslaw too. Being October it wasn’t too busy but a steady stream of people showed how popular it is. Well done the team, you work so well together and provide a friendly efficient service.

We have been here several times before, and each time it has never let us down. The service was warm and friendly, and they really do serve the best fish and chips! The fish portions are generous with just the right amount of batter. And the fish itself is top quality: delicious and clearly fresh. The cchips are as chips should be: chunky, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We will definitely be back.

Staying in the area for just two days, and visited flora’s on both days. The food was excellent, choosing from the specials board, and very reasonably priced.it was extremely busy on both days, and the weather was superb. What really made it exceptional, was the politeness of the staff, the efficiency and always able to help, and even bringing a fresh water bowl over for the dog. I have lived in norwich for many years and have friends mentioning floras at Dunwich and the fab fish and chips and it lives up to its name.

This is a lovely Tea Room right on Dunwich beach front. The menu is great and very good value for money! Fresh fish , beautiful! We had fish& chips , best I've ever had! I also had the prawn salad for lunch one day and plate was loaded with prawns! Shame I can't share my pictures on here. Staff really friendly. You can sit inside or out, lots of seating. We also aye at The Ship pub ; never again. £20 for a pint and a glass of wine made London seem cheap! Had the smallest portion of haddock and about 8 chips I've ever seen...so can highly recommend Flora's in comparison for great food. I wanted to have a knickerbocker glory but wa full up from my dinner ...but will return for one! Lovely place.

This venue is very handy for a visit to Dulwich Beach, and especially convenient with children/grandchildren. We have visited twice before, without grandchildren and found it acceptable and not more than that. Breakfast is adequate, with sausages being deep-fried, and no such refinements as brown bread. They had shortages of brown sauce-at opening time-10.00 am🤔blaming it on BREXIT- really🤔 Costing £7.50, breakfast-with one item portion is NOT cheap, with toast-white of course, NO OPTION🤔costing EXTRA😱especially with active hungry grand-daughters of 8 and 13. We played on the beach, had a great time, playing ball, building sandcastles, and toe-dipping in the water, until our grand-daughters fancied some chips. They were not real chips as we know it, and probably bought-in for convenience-to the owners of course, which was a shame, as you do not need a Ph.D. in quantum Physics to peel real potatoes, and in view of the pricing structure, this is the least that the owners could have provided. The fish did look very good and £12.50 for a sit-down price choice of three different fish,is reasonable nowadays. It does seem that maximum profit is the mantra here-judging by the prices, and the choice is accept it or bring your own picnic with all the attendant problems and irritations like flies and wasps and sand. All in all, it was/is reasonable, but do not expect anything out of the ordinary for your money, but reiterations that the fish does look good

The restaurant was extremely busy but the menu is limited if you are not a fish eater. Sausages were pretty good but more than one slice of bread would have been better.

Was a bit confused on arrival, no instructions as to where to order, the menu, table numbers or where to pay. Having spoken to the counter staff it was old school, menu on the wall with daily specials, order at counter, give your name, find a table and wait. Wait was worth it, beautiful fish, nice chips and a choice of rolly or mushy peas, delicious!

Visit here for fish and chips after a bad experience last month at a different venue within dunwich, with my partner, daughters & dog and wow what a difference!! Can’t thank these guys enough, great customer service, quick and very tasty food!! Can’t wait to go back again!!

We've been to The Flora Tea Rooms many times and we've never been disappointed. Today's experience was no different. Despite being very short of staff and very busy, the lady serving on the counter, taking orders and money and also dispensing drinks had a cheerful, helpful attitude towards all the customers and, bearing in mind the queue was out the door for hours, that was no mean feat. The food, as always, was excellent, nicely and promptly cooked to order and served in a reasonable time given how busy the place was. We certainly didn't feel like we were kept waiting. We had mains, desserts, bread and butter and a drink each and the bill was less than £30. My husband's plaice was enormous, my cheese omelette served with a large salad and chips was delicious. You really cannot do better anywhere and I'd highly recommend The Flora Tea Rooms to anyone.
