Best carrot cake ever!!! Stopped off en route home to visit the farm shop - excellent locally reared beef. Hubby wanted a sandwich so he got that and coffee then we shared carrot cake. It was fantastic, best carrot cake we’ve ever had. I’m not a massive cake fan but this was fab. Friendly staff, excellent homemade food.

Lovely breakfast, small option just the right size for me. Amazing to be offered a choice of GF bread and not be told that I can’t have half the items as they contain gluten. Friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. Will be back to try the GF cake option soon.

Our first visit to the Tearoom but we often shop at the adjacent Emmerdale Farm Shop. Friendly welcome from the attentive staff. Excellent menu beautifully cooked. Clean and tidy. Strongly recommended as a destination venue or as a pit-stop when travelling on the nearby A12.

Straightforward surroundings, not cosy country style, but fine for breakfast. Staff are always so friendly, very patient with requests to tailor set breakfasts. Local produce (sausages, bacon, eggs etc.) goes down well, and the coffee is hot! Sit upstairs for a bit of a view if you get the right table. Otherwise it’s a view of the car park. Finish with some food shopping downstairs. I wouldn’t do a diversion, but if you are nearby, it’s a good location.

We visit the farm shop to buy meat, which is excellent. So, we always stop at the Red Poll tearooms whatever time of day. Everything is freshly prepared, if you sit downstairs you can see your food being cooked. Our grandchildren look forward to visiting us as they love the food and going upstairs to eat, complete with their binoculars to look for the neighbouring Alpacas. Staff are a great team, they serve delicious coffee and really good tea.

Walked in and was greeted by some friendly locals who asked me to sit with them. Enjoyed a ham and cheese toastie served fresh off the grill with a smooth and delicious latte. Friendly and fast service with plenty of room upstairs to dwell and read alone or host a small group! Fantastic local art available for sale as well as used books to benefit charity. Located next to an amazing grocery store with locally grown meat and produce. A little cheeky when you see the “wee rooms” upstairs. They prefer not to accept credit cards on orders less than 10 pounds, so take some cash with you, if you just want a tea or coffee.

This little tea room was a lovely surprise. We originally went shopping for an Xmas tree and then decided to have some lunch and what a lovely surprise. My hubby had a ham and cheese toastie and I had the Coronation Chicken sandwich and I have got to say the Chicken sandwich is the best I have ever tasted. Both sandwiches were served with salad which was so fresh and some crisps. The Coronation Chicken was made fresh that morning and full of flavour and no scoping on the portions either, very generous. We had one tea and one coffee which was lovely too. I would definately recommend this tea room which is attached to Emmerdale Farm Shop, in fact we are going to go back there for one their breakfasts. The staff were brilliant, so polite and helpful. Great value for money

We visited for a late lunch and were directed to tables upstairs. It took a while for someone to take our order though they said they would be up soon when we arrived. The omelette was good & the BLT the best I have had for a long time. Unfortunately the ploughmans's was very ordinary . We had to ask for the "sliced apple" and when it came it was not sliced but just a whole apple which was a bit of a let down. The food was pricey for a cafe of this type.

Over the years have had many an enjoyable meal here but today was not one of them.First, our Americana coffees were brought in Cup with jug of hot water instead of being pressurised, hot milk requested came in two parts, one with one when nearly finished.Toast came as warm bread and after retoastingcame back like crispbread. All of this would not be so bad, except they have now increased prices out of all proportion to other establishments in area.Sad to say.this will be our last visit as although staff are very pleasant neither they or the food is worth the expense.

A group of us enjoyed a great breakfast at Red Poll Tearooms en route to Thorpeness. The food was excellent, especially the sausages, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Everything was brought out piping hot, and despite there being 11 of us, nobody had to wait too long for their food. It’s a quirky little cafe but that gives it a certain charm. Thoroughly recommended.

Do find time to stop at this lovely little tea room. Handy for the route to Dunwich from Ipswich via the A12. They are apparently expanding the downstairs seating area as it is quite small but there is also seating upstairs. A nice sized menu with just enough choice from sandwiches, jacket spuds to Hand made burgers. But try the cooked breakfast as the bacon and sausage are amongst the best I have had for a while. Very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. You aren't chased either so spend time, relax and enjoy that bacon! As a side note - the view from the ladies over the fields is worth spending a penny for!

I would recommend the Coronation Chicken filling for jacket and sandwich. This place is a must if you require a quick lunch and cup of tea. Roast dinners were nicely presented and delicious but portions were small. Desserts were also delicious but didn’t like the way the bill was presented a few minutes after our table was cleared - (we hadn’t requested it) and again a couple of minutes went by and the device was brought over for us to pay so felt a bit pushed out really.
