Café has been closed for a few days for wall and beam repairs as it is a listed old building but fortunately is now open again. This time back for a cappuccino and a cake.

Cheap bread, over priced sandwiches, cramped seating, slow service, smelly toilets close to table, which was actually in a post office, cash only paymemt, and grumpy service. Nothing really good to say.

Very busy on the day of our visit but sat upstairs in the post office and met some new friends at the table next to us. As usual good quality food and good service although you may have to wait a while when things get very busy as there is only one person cooking and serving so patience.

Went here with a number of friends on 20th December for drinks and tapas. I thought it was very good, we opted for them to bring their selection of tapas for £25 per head. We had a terrific selection of dishes to sample that seemed to just keep on coming, all of them beautifully presented and delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Blink and you’ll miss this little place in one of Felixstowe oldest buildings, for me a must to support businesses like this.

Attached to a really good post office in the village of Walton, just outside Felixstowe in a 16th Century building, is a very versatile eating establishment. Tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes during the day (scrumptious 'home made' ones) and then, on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays it's TAPAS TIME. It's not a huge menu but you certainly find dishes that suit your taste. All freshly prepared and served with a smile. It is licenced so the odd bottle of wine is available and goes well with this mini feast. Unexpected but comfortable. Street parking available.

This Café / Bistro was a hidden gem on my friend’s doorstep. She’s a Melton local & didn’t even realise it was there tucked away beside the post office. The establishment is quaint and cosy & you have the lovely surprise that it is also a bar. You can definitely tell that the Menu has been carefully selected to ensure only the best quality & taste. The Waitress even told us about stuff she would like to add to the Menu which made us want to return. The food came out tasting as good as it smelt, my friend and I are still thinking about the smell weeks after! I am sad to not give this 5*’s and the only reason I can’t is because although the Waitress (perhaps the owner) was pleasant enough to us, she was openly rude to an elderly regular Customer. It’s not the a Customer’s fault if you are understaffed and it seemed rather unnecessary considering the Café is very small and all the lady wanted to do was pay.

We recently visited The Angel Inn for tapas with a couple of friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food and wine were excellent and the service was very good. Some of the other reviews called this a hidden gem and while it's a perfect description of a cafe/restaurant that is not well-known in Felixstowe it won't be long before more people visit it as word of mouth gets around. It's also great to have something different in Felixstowe as I am not aware of any other restaurants holding tapas evenings here. This would have been a five star review but for a couple of small issues, no Manchego on the cheese board, there should be a Spanish cheese on a tapas cheese board, our table was too close to an adjacent table, and there is a limited selection of drinks available. However overall we would highly recommend a visit to The Angel Inn for tapas and we've heard the breakfast and the tea room, open during the day, are equally good.

An addition to the post office and a good one. With the building aging back to at least the 16th Century, having many purposes during it early years, including an Inn, meeting house, lodging house, sales & auctions, hiring of servants, inquests & magistrates petty sessions. During 1937 the doors of what was then an Inn was closed to the public, with part of the building being demolished in the 1950's, and now with a full refurbishment is the Angel Inn Coffee House. They also serve food and have special nights.

The Angel Inn is a small, intimate coffee house also serving tapas and with a bar. It's tucked away at the side of Walton Post Office! During the day you can access it through the Post Office, but at night you need to use the side door which is unmarked. The staff are friendly and the food and coffee are good. I've been there for coffee and also in the evening and have enjoyed both. I'd definitely recommend the Angel for coffee or a light meal with friends.

Wasn't sure what to expect here, as I wasn't sure about going to a coffee house for dinner on a Friday night! But have to admit the tapas was really great, it's quite a limited menu but all the favourites are there, the house wine was good and reasonably priced, it's got a good buzzy atmosphere, only down side was the service, I know you don't rush tapas in Spain, but this is Felixstowe, but I am being really petty, but maybe another staff member might be a good idea, especially once the owner got a beer in his mitt he forgot about his customers. Tip... We struggled to park the owner said to turn left down the side of the church and there is lots of parking. Would I come back? Yes definitely.

This welcome addition to the Walton High Street is in a building which dates back to the 16th Century and entry can be made from either inside the local Post Office or by a side door. There aren't many tables so it has a lovely intimate feel, is immaculately clean and serves wonderful cakes, yummy paninis and fresh lunches which can be pre-ordered ready for collection. My Grandaughter loves their milkshakes with all the added bits &bobs so all ages are catered for - everything comes with a friendly smile and as I'm sure that Customer satisfaction is important to the Staff I think that many people will be frequent visitors!

Authentic Pie, Mash n' liquor in Felixstowe - I popped in here after a couple of beers on the front - lovely pies, good old mash and proper liquor - knife, fork and spoon for the liquor, with vinegar, just like in London SE1 - interesting photos of England football stars and a bit of banter with the owner. All in all a great lunch and long may they thrive in Felixstowe.

If you want smashed avocado on sourdough with pea shoots and other unnecessary greenery then this cafe is not for you. But if you want the best quality full English, fresh unfussy honestly presented British and local food then you’re in the right place. Always a warm welcome, seriously tasty local food, simply cooked and unpretentiously presented. Today’s special were some seriously big juicy scallops which I had with my full English and they were an inspired combination and very popular. Thanks Sean for another outstanding breakfast. Keeping consistent standards like this is a real labour of love but it shines through in the food. Lovely breakfast and not an avocado in sight. PS a ‘greasy spoon’ this is not!
