This cafe has, in my opinion, all the qualities of a truly excellent cafe: delicious food, very reasonable prices, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

Just had our first breakfast from here, it was delicious and such good value for money! I don’t tend to do a cooked breakfast because I don’t like all the oil and grease but this was gorgeous. Fab little place, super clean and super friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Ideal place for a freshly cooked fish and chips. The members of staff always served their customers with a smile.

Service was really attentive and polite, Food was delicious and fast to arrive. Wanted something slightly different to the menu and was no problem at all, really good value for money food was delicious and inexpensive ! Never been before but would 100% recomend little hidden gem!

The guy said to me tonight we nearly shut but still had my order. Everytime me and my partner order here we are not dissapointed! Quality high quantity good service and taste off the charts! I am not from stevenage and this is the best place for chicken wraps in my opinion.

I booked this place for some pre meal drinks for my friend’s birthday . We had a fabulous round table in a booth . The server was brilliant a jolly man . The bar staff were also great setting up a table and brining our drinks over to the table . We had a great time

Impressed with how staff dealt with 2 out of 5 of us gluten-free/Coeliac/serious nut allergy. Most helpful and respectful. Food quality and portion size ideal. Particular Thanks to staff member Sophie who helped make our family time out worry free and special.

We had are breakfast in here with other family members and the food was still delicious and you can have as much as you wanted to and help yourself,the drinks were freshly made, would highly recommend this restaurant.

A guy was pro labour and didn't think that people abused children. He also thought that Hindley was not guilty. He hates Trump and the tories and Reform party. I was told to take my views somewhere else. But the pub is nice and normally friendly.

We go to the Old Forge every few weeks. It is the place we choose by default when we decide to eat out without planning. We like the place and the atmosphere and the children are not complaining of the food. The portions are generous and the prices are adequate. The only issue is that it can be crowded, on weekends there is a waiting queue for the roast meat. If you go on Saturday afternoon or Sunday it is better to make a reservation at least half a day in advance.

Their shakes are absolutely amazing, so tasty and good for the prices. Only let down at the minute is the timings on the door for their opening hours are wrong and so on google it may say they are open but when turn up it is locked??

Me and my son had breakfast here last week and once again it was really good . A big thank you to the staff they made us feel welcomed.
