The peartree Pub in Stevenage

Lovely food and very helpful staff Gina and Chelsea helped with the best wine to drink with my food

I sometimes come to this pub when I am home from scuba diving around the world and I can honestly say it has always given me a warm welcome on my return. The staff are friendly although the manager is a bit abrupt with me. A bit familiar with me, I think its a flirting thing though. The staff always know what the locals want and treat newbies very well.. I recommend this pub...

Food was nice. Reasonable selection for a quick lunch. Seating area could have done with a cleanup as could the tables. Would go again.

Celebrated a birthday today with an afternoon tea. I honnestly was blown away with the service, and attention to detail that we received. Everything was presented beautifully. The food was fresh, generous, and better than we expected by far. All the guests had a lovely day. Thank you Peartree, we will be booking future functions with you.

Had a fantastic evening at the peartree!!! Lovely staff. Entertainment was great. My first real night out since covid.. everyone welcomed us. Well done guys!!! See you all very soon.

I was in on the weekend for a family party. There were 2 members of staff working however it seemed 1 of them was the only one doing any work. There was a young girl who seemed to be rushing around serving both sides of the pub whilst the young lad - Will I think? Sat down talking to a friend of him & never seemed to be behind the bar when people needed serving. Poor lack of teamwork. Other than that I had a lovely day

Whilst visiting a few friends in Stevenage we all decided to pop in to the peartree pub to bring back some good memories! How down hill it has gone! The bar lady ‘Loraine’ or ‘laura’ she was responding too, was extremely rude. Every other word was a swear word she was constantly huffing and moaning, I left the pub feel very negative and annoyed because of this. A few ‘older’ customers that were also waiting to be served said to me ‘don’t worry she’s always like that’ I was shocked! For my next drink I waited at least 10 minutes untill I decided to walk around to the sports area of the pub where she was just standing there eating crisps talking to what seemed to be her boyfriend ‘I presume as I see her not charge him for a drink’ when I asked for service I was greeted by another sigh! The pub itself has so much potential if it got better staff.

There are times when you level your expectations based on context and environment. Basic working class pub with bouncy castles for kids and football on tv. Fair enough. When I come in to watch a match I generally know what I am in for. But the inexcusable parts of this pub is the complete disinterest in some of the staff. In particular, the girl named after the longest river in Ireland, has no attributes that speaks to any skill behind a bar. Devoid of smile, courtesy, and basic housekeeping. I’ve tried this place a few times. But it really is rubbish. Were it not for football, and forget about it for other sport, I would never bother with the place. Also the WC facilities are dreadful. Bring your own.

Worst place I have ever been Very shocked . Smelly toilets, no light, stunk of drains Food not cooked , 6 trays of food returned as all raw. Samosas.springrolls. Chicken satay- all still frozen in the middle. Girl behind the bar,no hygiene skills. Two of us sick after eating the food. Dirty cloths, left on the windowsills. Felt so sorry for the girl whose party it was. Wouldn’t even rate it, if that was possible AVOID. Avoid .Avoid

went for Thursday Pie & mash night at peartree and was very surprised not that there was no pie and mash being served but no food was being served. when ask why was told the chef had not come back sonwe left and as we left the pub we passed a sign by the door saying Pie and Mash was being served. Does no one at the Peartree Pub beleave in customer service

Lovely family atmosphere, staff are amazing, needed food to go for a wake and they were so helpful. The food was sooo good and beautifully presented. would recommend to everyone

The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, The prices were reasonable. The pub was tidy and we want to come back and use the sports bar! The access for disabled people was ok. The only negative thing we would say it that the front entrance could be smarter and smell better!

Family friendly pub, the bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, amazing food too! The children have an outside play area which is safely fenced off from the roads and a great sports bar for the football fans! Worth a visit!

Stopped in on a visit to my family, had lunch with the kids and they loved the food especially the burger which apparently was made in house and to be fair did look like it was and as i only paid a pound for there meal as i had a main bit of a bonus so thumbs up. definitely worth a visit if passing through

Absolutely great pub to visit, excellent staff and tasty food too. they also have a blinding sports bar to boot, being an avid sports fanatic myself x

always order too much, great food great service........can never decide whether to have a starter or pudding so usually end up ordering both plus main which means stuffed!

comprar uno conseguir una relación calidad-precio - absolutamente geniales gratis! La comida era muy buena comida en el bar, que en realidad teníamos media un pollo, demasiado para terminar pero estaba encantado dado un "doggy" bolsa. flan por £1.00 ! donde en la tierra puede conseguir que estos días. Preciosa zona amplia fresca para comer, niño amable y muy servicial, cortés y atento personal. Sin duda volveremos.

Visité el pub peartree hoy por la gran comprar uno consiga uno gratis en domingo por sus carnes asadas. La comida era fantástica, el personal muy amable y servicial nada en absoluto. El ambiente era muy agradable y amable. Espero que la gente que visitamos en la última crítica se consideraría volver ya que había oído de jure ni ningún miembro del personal o banda!! Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

I took my family to this pub that I'd passed on an occasion when passing through Stevenage and I got to say its a lovely little pub, food lovely and family garden atmosphere great. The one thing that would stop me though from going back is what I presume was one of the staff his language wasn't to be desired in front of children I only presumed he was staff due to him pouring himself a drink when going to help himself behind the bar area. But all we heard from a distants was f this f that. After we had such fab food and I got to say great service from a waitress I asked her who the blasfimic gent was who kept swearing in front of people, I think she said rick or Richard but if it's was the case that this young man wasn't in the pub when we visited I think I would of given this top marks.
