The best restaurants serving British food in Great Yarmouth East of England

There were three of us for Sunday roast, meat was dried out and vegetables over cooked. If I had gone to the loo before I sat down to eat we would have walked out the toilet was disgusting Sandra Daventry

Being from London East End it is so nice ro see a real pie and mash shop, pie are from one of Londons oldest pie and mash shops and are amazing. Nice and clean place and always a friendly service, I always make this my 1st stop when I go to Yarmouth. Amazing good quality food at reasonable prices

Lovely friendly service, freshly cooked chunky chips, excellent calamari, ribs and scampi! Good pint of Woodforde ale too!! All enjoyed out on the front patio under the umbrellas! Highly recommend if you’re in the area or passing through ( plenty of parking in pub car park).

Honestly, Tom’s food will, or should, at some point, earn him a Michelin star. Classic, quality, exceptionally prepared food that there is absolutely zero to moan about. I’ve eaten in many restaurants in Yarmouth, and this wins, full stop. A steak, the venison, the tagliatelle, a burger, the dish is irrelevant, it’s all fantastic. In a world of mediocre, this place is a massively refreshing change. Thank you.

We were staying in Great Yarmouth & wanted a quieter place to eat,we stopped off at Gorleston,what a lovely little place,so quiet. Found this cafe which was not our normal type of eatery but boy was the food good. So pleased we went in,both of us had a tuna/mayonnaise sandwich,so full of tuna ,we needed a spoon to eat it all up,1 latte,1 sprite,total price £8 .10p,now if that isn't good value dont know what is. The staff were lovely too,very attentive,thanks to them . Just a shame we live 180 miles away otherwise would be regular visitors.

They took 3 payments out my bank account still waiting for a refund. VERY HARD TO CONTACT ANY BODY TO TELL THE TRUTH. Never stop there again.

Absolutely fantastic pub, landlord and staff are great, awesome selection of beers and drinks in general, food is also fantastic amd the events they hold are great and very varied, best pub around

Superb hotel and you feel that you are part of a family. Everybody is so kind and all are keen to offer the best for you. I am definitely a returning guest. The location is outstanding by the way.

I went to the lacon arms for my birthday meal. No carvery again..no carvery last time we came at the beginning of February. The roast dinner beef dinner I chose was lovely and lots of vegetables. Very tasty.. You unfortunately the dessert was awful..I chose baked custard tart which was very thin and small. I couldn't taste the baked custard at all. It came with a little plastic tub of cold custard which didn't taste very nice either. Was very disappointed. The table we sat on was a plastic round table, no nice table cloth. Such a shame as used to be such a good place to go to.

Nit quite what I expected and advertised the food and service was good but a pub / club cafe atmosphere I expected a quiet meal but the wedding music could ge heard all through the restaurants I probably would only resist for a lunch or drink when in the area

Excellent breakfast and friendly owner, dog was accommodated for and water was offered for him. The food was priced well as well

Surprised how quiet the place was when we visited!! Great value and great food!

Went with local friends but will return with family and visiting friends. I had a shallot tart the sauce was fab. The salad was different in a good way made a lovely change. All the staff were very helpful. The chips caused some discussion with some loving them some finding them to salty and others not liking so Mayb they need looking at? The friend that had mussels was impressed with how many she got. My Elton mess came like a knickerbocker glory and was very nice.
