Delicious food and very efficient service.

My wife and I had hot chocolate. and a fruit scones and jam with clotted cream very Very lovely it's. the price was well worth the money £2.95 happy days

When we arrived for afternoon tea initially there was nobody around to greet us in the restaurant, we had to walk and find our way around the hotel to find someone to see us. Once seated we ordered our drinks and afternoon tea. It arrived and looked lovely. However everything was so dry and clearly was not fresh. The cakes and scones were so dry and claggy we couldn't eat majority of them and instead wrapped them to go so we could feed the birds and dogs when we got home. (I know that's how bad they were lol) they looked fluffy till you bit into them. They were not made that day, yesterday or the day before judging by the hard, dry and claggy mouthfuls we had. We did enjoy the coffee, and tho7ght that was the best bit about the afternoon tea. But Overall we wouldn't come back here again unfortunately.

Gorgeous lunch on The Terrace. Sun shining overlooking the sea. Perfect. My daughters birthday, restaurant put up a banner and some sprinkles on the table which was lovely. Food was amazing and service excellent. Cocktails were flowing. Altogether a lovely time. Can definitely recommend The Terrace. Thank you

Decided to visit yarmouth as it was a lot cooler at the coast, we had walked past the terrace many times and never gone in, however today was the day we were seated by a very polite gentleman, we ordered two roast dinners, a delightful cheesecake and probably the best pannacota and lime sorbet ive had in a long time. All lovely would definitely return.

A lovely place to spend time enjoying seaviews eating good food and sipping great coffee either on your own or with company. The scones and pot of tea was good but have come here on a few occasions on my own just to enjoy the feeling. Always nice to return..

We live locally, and have often eaten at The Imperial Hotel, particularly in The Terrace restaurant. Over the course of the last few months, we have been arranging a function, which has involved meeting Grant Smith on more than one occasion. Today we went to finalise arrangements, and stayed to have lunch on The Terrace. The food was superb as always. The sea bream starter was incredible - such flavour! The other courses we had were equally impressive, and such large portions! We couldn't manager a dessert. We never have a dessert, so next time we must forgo a starter. For the quality of the ingredients, the size of the portions, and the excellent service from every member of staff we encountered, The Terrace is terrific value. We loved it!

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed! The starter and main were really nice! The dessert let the meal down also the waitress pushing us to have tea/coffee straight after the main whilst the dessert was being prepared! For us to find out the reason why we were asked to vacate as they needed the table for another booking… we were a family of 5 adults and two children.. the Apple & raspberries crumble was awful along with the crème anglais served with it which we weren’t sure if the milk/ cream was ok as it was like curd lumpy and thin but they did change it but was still very runny.. We are local and do visit a lot but felt as tho the imperial didn’t run well under pressure as there were a lot of people booked in.

My visit was part of weekend stay in Imperial Hotel. Had a delicious Sunday lunch with all the trimmings hope to go again.

Visited today for the first time for an afternoon tea with my wife. The food and service were lovely and would certainly recommend the lemon posset and cheese scone.

The terrace is a great place to celebrate a special occasion on the seafront with a glass frontage. We had steak on the stones which were lovely and the waitress <Jill> was helpful and entertaining. All in all a very nice experience

Had many meals at Cafe Cru and always found it to be excellent. Staff attentive, food of good quality, portion size very good and wine list is vast. Recently visited for afternoon tea with family. Pre-booked for 7 people, so not a walk-in. First off, 40 minute wait for afternoon tea. For pre-booked customer......and zero other customers on the terrace at the time. I appreciate it's putting together multiple items, but come on, it's a few sandwiches, scones and dessert items. Onto the food, sandwiches need to be presented flat, not on edge, which results in fillings falling to the plate when picked up. Also, petty though it may be, presenting afternoon tea on a stand meant for 3 people and giving 8 sandwich slices? Scones -rock hard, desserts - dry chocolate cake, I suspect catering pack macaroons and bland lemon tray-bake. The lemon posset was lovely however, something I'd expect as a pre-dessert in Cafe Cru. Found a small piece of plastic wrap (cling film) on one sandwich. The lady who presented the food seemed miserable and it felt like an imposition to ask for anything. Not something that's usual at the Imperial as I've found all staff to be attentive and very pleasant in the past. May have been an off day for the lady. Overall, for £17 a head, this afternoon tea will not be repeated for me. Would I still go Cafe Cru for a full evening dining experience, absolutely.

We booked a table here for a family celebration and were warmly welcomed on arrival. We all decided to have fillet steak which is served on hot (very hot) slate in order that you can cook the fillet to your own personal liking. We were unanimous in voting our steaks utterly superb. The house Malbec was an excellent accompaniment to the steaks. Our main course was followed by a cheeseboard of local Norfolk cheeses. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our special thanks go to Jill who went above and beyond the call of duty to make the evening truly memorable.

Having not been to The Terrace for a few years and being in Gt Yarmouth decided to go for lunch. All four of us had a main and dessert and the food was top notch,all washed down with a couple of lagers and some white wine. We all said that we wouldn’t leave it such a long time before we return.

Went here for dinner whilst visiting Yarmouth. Staff very attentive and welcoming. Service was incredibly quick. Food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by myself and husband. The haddock was huge and so tasty as was the T bone steak so tasty. Lovely restaurant and highly recommend

Had a nice meal here. Came for lunch and the food was very good. Only downside wad that the staff were a bit slow despite it not being very busy. Also some of our party had afternoon tea and they forgot to bring the tea out! Was fine once we asked but should have been something that was really remembered.

The steak on the stone was absolutely fantastic - and the garlic sauce! We had a beautiful fish sharing platter to start, followed by the steak. The service was great and the table was beautifully laid out. Proper fish knives too! Would highly recommend.

Finally open after lockdown - The Terrace has an open roof area and socially distanced tables. Brilliant staff, lovely food, great atmosphere and the sunshine. Highly recommend.

Coffee stop - actually had coffee in Bar Fizz, relaxing and welcoming, lively atmosphere. All measures taken to make you feel safe. Helpful polite staff. Toilets clean. Definitely recommend.

We have visited The Terrace many times and have never been disappointed, today was no exception. Excellent meal, lovely surroundings, friendly and attentive staff. The Rib-eye steak is outstanding and the entire meal was great value for money. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

I am a regular diner here as the food and service are usually of a high standard. So I suggested to three of my friends that we have lunch. The starters were delicious, however we all chose the coqu au vin for the main. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing as the minute pieces of chicken ( a tiny drumstick and thigh) were more skin than meat and the dish was floating in a gravy rather than a red wine sauce. We told our waitress Laura, who said she would convey our concerns to the chef. A shame we weren't offered some recompense e.g.our hot drink. This of course will not deter us from dining there again, but the chef's recipe does need to be improved.This is a rare negative review from me, but it had to be.

I visited this restaurant on a flying visit from seeing family. It was a quiet sunday afternoon in which I ordered a fish platter to share and a pork roast. The fish platter had to be ordered due to being on the sea front and it hopefully being fresh. The platter was ok, would have been better with more variety of fish, although the fish on the platter was done in a high standard. The pork roast was beautiful. I enjoyed that meal very much. There was a wife choice of vegetables also which I appreciated. Shame the weather wasnt better because the location of the terrace is perfect for a sea front view. All in all it was nice.

I recently had Sunday lunch at this lovely restaruant, overlooking the ses and part of the Imperial hotel. The food is sublime and in the six years I have known the establishment have never been disappointed. At the time, of this this I had the Roast Beef, amazing quality, which included a lovely selection of vegetables. For dessert, I had a very tasty Strawberry Sunday.I would mention that the staff are also amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, very friendly, efficient, courteous and kind. It always feels like returning to my family when I visit. From the owners, to the Managers, Jill, Paula, Janine and Grant and the rest of the staff, you receive a fantastic experience everytime and always unforgettable. A gem of an establishment, not just in the whole of Great Yarmouth but anywhere in the UK

I have never had such amazing service in the UK. Gill the Duty Manager is so friendly, attentive &amp; understands the needs of young families. She took the time to chat with all of us including our motley crew despite having a full house. The food was faultless - desserts super yummy &amp; the fact that there is both gluten free &amp; vegan options is excellent. We were so impressed by the food &amp; service &amp; want to go back again! (The cromer crab salad is yummy, the scampi &amp; fish pie excellent, the pistacio &amp; choc tart simply divine as was the rhubarb &amp; elderflower pannacotta)

A great place to enjoy a good meal and some good wine, with a brilliant level of service. The menu was varied and interesting, it caters for all sorts of tastes. the wine list was really good with some great Bordeaux. the staff were pleasant, happy and attentive. it all makes for a fabulous evening.

Had a fantastic dinner with the family at The Terrace.The warm greeting from Alex and the service offered throughout with a warm smile and efficiency was excellent. The quality of the food wasn't far off, the cheesy pancake, tomato and tarragon soup were good starters but the main course was perfect.The chef kindly agreed to cook a grilled chicken breast for my wife and it was succulent and my ribeye steak was as tender and flavoursome as possible. With a nice bottle of Argentinian Malbec the dinner was faultless.

We have lived in Yarmouth for nearly 2 decades and were pleased to meet friends here for dinner (for the first time) a Sunday night a couple of weeks ago. I have put off reviewing because they paid and I didn't want to spoil their experience or interfere if they we going to leave a review. There are dozens of better places to eat in the area and considerably better value. This place is trading on the nice view, well trained staff and a five or ten minute walk to the other restaurants along the seafront.

Great location with a lovely view out to sea. Used for the breakfast included in with the hotel room, but also open for dinner. The food was great and the service very friendly, attentive and speedy. Highly recommended

Great setting with unobstructed views over the sea at Yarmouth. Staff very friendly. Cappuccino was a good taste not too milky like some places. Would certainly recommend this place for drinks and meals. It's situated on the front of the Imperial hotel

The restaurant seemed very popular so we chose it to have lunch with friends. We had a good impression on arrival - welcoming and warm on a cold day. It is modern and very clean We all chose the fish pie which was a chefs special. It was obviously home made and served very hot. A little disappointing that peas were the only vegetables on offer. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Unfortunately the lemon requested for the tea never appeared. We never felt rushed and relaxed and enjoyed our company.

We visited celebrating a family birthday, the receptionist had asked on the phone if we were celebrating anything, we arrived to banners and table decorations. The service was impeccable the lady even ran down the seafront after us when my husband left his glasses. They couldn’t do enough for us and food was delicious. Would definitely recommend

The Terrace has never disappointed, the quality is always very good. Also a very good gluten free menu.
