The Kings Arms in Great Yarmouth

Lovely friendly service, freshly cooked chunky chips, excellent calamari, ribs and scampi! Good pint of Woodforde ale too!! All enjoyed out on the front patio under the umbrellas! Highly recommend if you’re in the area or passing through ( plenty of parking in pub car park).

16 of us booked in for a Sunday roast, the landlady was so lovely n welcoming even did a cake n candle for my husband as it was his 60th. Food was gorgeous definitely recommend this pub to anyone staying or passing through Martham

Yet again Lucy the country's best landlady looked after us as if we were royalty. Excellent food, excellent food and hospitality second to none. A excellent pub visit it you won't be disappointed. Pete

Lovely friendly pub and great Sunday meals. We had two lamb roast dinners, a toad in the hole and roast pork and not one of us left a thing on the plate. We will definitely be back.

Had a great pub lunch here after a morning boat ride on the broads. Enjoyed our food in the pleasant garden on a warm sunny day. Menu was limited but all very nice. Not many options for Gluten Free or Veggie, so if this is you then you might want to ring ahead to check the menu - as we did not find much online. Well worth stopping by.

Had superb fish and chips here. Enjoyed the meals so much we went back next week! Comfortable dining area and roaring log fire. Good service and a lovely picturesque view over the village green and pond full of ducks.

We have just returned from a great evening meal at the Kings Arms, food fabulous portions excellent, great choice. But what made this evening was Lucy, landlady and simply a great host! The Seven friends.

We arrived early evening and took advantage of the excellent roast options. Food was of a great quality and served by a pleasant waitress promptly and politely. All in our party thoroughly enjoyed their choices of meat selected.

Visited late afternoon. Were still derving food. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were very pleasnat and helpful

Roast Pork with trimmings absolutely brilliant. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed lunch and the friendly staff. Dog friendly and well kept beer. Very good value too.

We went for a lovely meal. Huge portion sizes great value. Excellent service/waitress. The best the pub has been in years outside and in. Very pleasant in the pub as well.

Been a number of times for a roast and every time the food is lovely. Friendly staff and lovely garden.

Called in on the off chance as we passed by. Obtained drinks for the fout of us and sat at a table with the menu. Waitress passed by three times saying she would be with us shortly. After waiting for 40 minutes we left.

My sister and her husband moved to Martham a few years ago and everytime I go to visit them I insist we go for a meal to the Kings Arms The land lady is always cheerful and makes us feel very welcome But better than that the food is amazing, we have tried lots of things on the menu and we have never been disappointed The steak is my personal favourite, cooked to perfection

We visited while staying in Martham. It was a great atmosphere and we were able to sit in the bar and eat with our dog. Lovely would visit again.

Very friendly village pub. It’s our local and we love it! The landlady Lucy is hilarious, and knows how to run a pub and Eric is a great chef. They serve proper pub food...no smudges of sauce on their plates. Fish and chips is our favourite with a huge piece of local, fresh cod. Highly recommend a visit. You will be made very welcome by the locals.

Mi segunda visita a este excelente pub, pero la primera vez que he estado en el jardín encantador, tranquilo y bien equipado. La casera no podría haber sido más acogedor cuando llegamos después de un largo paseo y tuvimos una comida muy buena. Ella hizo todo lo posible para satisfacer mis necesidades dietéticas y produjo un gran y delicioso e inusual cabras ensalada de queso que no estaba en el menú. Mis amigos habían pescado y patatas fritas, y una hamburguesa y patatas fritas que tanto me decía que eran excelentes. Todo estaba recién preparado y de alta calidad. El pub está muy limpio. Altamente recomendado.

Order at the bar and staff will bring it to you. There is a lovely outside area where you can sit if the weather is good.

Even though we arrived 20 minutes late we received a warm and friendly welcome. Sunday lunch was delicious with nicely cooked, varied vegetables and fantastic yorkshire pudding. All the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Will definitely visit again.

La primera vez este y a la izquierda y se siente un poco decepcionado. Después de oír que estaban sirviendo cervezas buenas, fue decepcionante ver el típico sospechoso en las bombas, Adams y Green King. La comida se servía bien caliente con las verduras cocinadas muy bien, pero me pareció que la tarta casera de pastas carne muy pesadas y gruesas que nos estropeó la tarta. El pub estaba lleno y muy ruidoso, lo que para mí no es un problema, pero me pareció un poco bastante desagradable

Four of my family and myself went here for a birthday celebration lunch and we weren't disappointed. There was a big choice of traditional meats, plus a couple of extra home made pie based meals. I had traditional roast beef and yorkshires served with roasted potatoes and a choice of vegetables cooked to perfection. There was a wide variety of sweets to follow and I had the delicious lemon meringue roulade. I can whole heartedly recommend this pub/ restaurant set in the picturesque Norfolk village of Martham with a lovely view of the village pond. We will definitely be returning to eat here very soon..

Excellent food and drink at good prices. Excellent service. Extensive menu with daily specials to suit all tastes inc dietary requirements. Thanks to Eric and Lucy for what they do. X

We had lunch at the pub and was surprised at the size of the beer garden in the back , great place for kids. The food and service was very good, we will be back !!

We always visit The Kings Arms twice a year when we visit Martham. The staff are very friendly (an actually remember us). the food is always good but y husband decided he would treat himself to a steak he was so impressed he said it was the best sirloin he had had. The portion sizes are big and good value for money. You can take a dog in the pub part not the restaurant which is really nice and the landlady dent leave them out either she will give them a treat too. We look forward to our holidays and visiting the Pub! Highly recommend you do need to book if you don't want to be disappointed. Number is 01493 749156.

We used this pub when we arrived for a 1 week break in Martham.Had a bar menu lunch and a drink on our arrival to Martham, .was very pleasant and staff were polite and helpful.Nice peaceful place to sit outside by the green and enjoy a lunch.

We had to walk about 2 miles to get to this pub on Monday 25th April as the closer one was closed for refurbishment (not their fault). The meal here was very good value. We had the special of Pork chop (really thick), roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, 4 vegetables, pork stuffing balls extra gravy and apple sauce. The meal was beautiful and the waitress gave good old fashioned customer service. It was late at night we didn't want to walk miles back to the boat and she was able to arrange a taxi for us. The taxi driver was friendly and courteous and this rounded off another good night in Norfolk. Many thanks. I also note that from now until the end of September they have various rock bands playing every Friday. If you are in the area and are interested that should make for a worthwhile visit, even if you only have a drink.

A decent pub with a roaring woodburner fire which made the place comfortable on a winter's day. Good ales.

You will not regret a visit to the Kings Arms Eric cooks up a great menu try his smoked haddock on a bed of mash with 2 poached eggs delicious ,Landlady Lucy runs a top bar with a good range or real ale at very good prices.Make this your new year resolution.

Had a great meal here ,its great to know Martham has a good place for a cracking meal . The service & food was exellant definalty recomend here for a meal prices very good

Having lived in Martham for many years i visited the pub on many occasions, the food was always average but the real ale first class and always well cared for, i wouldn't make a special visit to the pub for food, but defiantly worth a visit for the ale.

Eric and Lucy have recently bought the Kings Arms and redecorated the main bar and refurbishing is on going with the other bar. Good selection of real ales and beers and Eric being a Chef is an excellent cook and served a an great meal up for his regulars on Saturday Night. I had whole Sea Bass which was stuffed with limes and served up with a hot baked lemon to drizzle over the fish. Its one of the best Fish dishes I have had and was piping hot. A good selection of vegetables accompanied the fish. My sister had Rump Steak which is excellent quality being supplied by the local butcher. Home made chips accompanied this dish.Starters included White Bait and I had 8 Rock Oysters which came with Eric's special Vinaigrette delicious.There were various sweets on offer although I didn't have one my friends did and enjoyed them. I can heartily recommend a visit.

We visited Martham recently.I would highly recommend .Food is well presented and drinks reasonably priced.The landlord and landlady are very welcoming making you feel at home.Facilities on site are karaoke ,pool and darts.A great night out and excellent atmosphere .

We went here based on other reviews, and after a trip to see the seals at Horsey. Whilst the food was generally OK, the menu was limited, with some not available (after we had ordered). Service was poor, with menus not provided, and hostess didn't appear to know the menu, or specials. And didn't provide us with menus (we had to gather from other tables). Our choice of desserts were replaced by the chef, as no longer available, and served to us without checking/asking. After complaining, we were not charged for those, which was a fair outcome. Unfortunately I'd not recommend, and won't be going back.

We visited Martham recently and had decided to use The Kings Arms to host my son's 18th birthday. Ian (landlord extraordinaire) turned out to be the perfect host....great Buffet, fabulous Cake, Karaoke etc, etc...just an all round memorable evening. Later in the week we returned for a Family evening meal. Once again we weren't disappointed, good menu, lovely food, attentive host. If you're ever over in Norfolk, make sure you pop into Ian's Pub, you won't be disappointed. We'll be back next year when we return to Martham for our hols.
