Dune bar & restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Honestly, Tom’s food will, or should, at some point, earn him a Michelin star. Classic, quality, exceptionally prepared food that there is absolutely zero to moan about. I’ve eaten in many restaurants in Yarmouth, and this wins, full stop. A steak, the venison, the tagliatelle, a burger, the dish is irrelevant, it’s all fantastic. In a world of mediocre, this place is a massively refreshing change. Thank you.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch with great service provided by the warm and friendly staff. Both of us enjoyed the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire pudding was a touch over baked for our taste, but everything else was absolutely fabulous, as always. Looking forward to our next visit!

The food was OK nothing special, but the service was good. The bar is far too small for such a big venue, we had to queue for ages to get a drink. The dining chairs are extremely uncomfortable and far too low for the high tables making eating difficult.

My partner and I came here Saturday 2nd November for the first time, we ordered from the main menu despite a Mexican night was happening that he didn't realise when he booked. The decor is beautiful, staff were friendly and attentive...the food! Wow! Pork belly to start followed by Ribeye Steaks *note to self* don't have a heavy starter as the main meals were very large. My partner asked to speak to the chef as we felt so guilty leaving so much food and didn't want him to think it was his cooking. Food was outstanding as was the little shot of creamy lemony stuff the chef served us. Can't fault a thing. This will certainly be our place to go now.

Third visit and brilliant as ever. I had the mushroom and truffle risotto, my Sister had the vegetable moussaka. 10/10. All staff very welcoming and helpful and when they found out it was my birthday they brought out a chocolate brownie dessert and sang Happy Birthday which was really lovely. Thanks All.

I went to the Dune restaurant on Thursday evening to celebrate my son-in-laws birthday, we were a party of five. The young lady that greeted us at the bar was very welcoming and helped us surprise my son in law. All of our meals were excellent and worthy of a top five star restaurant. The young lady waitress Lilly was really friendly and helpful and helped towards us having a lovely evening. I would highly recommend whoever reads this to visit.

Visited to celebrate a family birthday and we had the best evening! The food is absolutely incredible. Staff are so welcoming. Lilly was a lovely waitress and had us laughing all evening, Thank you Lilly 😁 five meals and five people rating it a complete 10/10. We will be recommending far and wide and will definately be back here very soon ⭐️

Decided to give Dune another chance after being turned away last weekend, 3 hours before their advertised end of food service. Ordered a Roast beef dinner which was £16. The Roast was tasty, however the portion was tiny for £16. The Roast potatoes were like leather, but I still cleared my plate. The cheeseboard was far better than I was anticipating, with some phenomenal cheese on it. Only criticism is that there wasn't enough biscuits for the amount of cheese, but it was very good indeed. A couple sat on the next table were not happy with their meal and the server displayed excellent customer service skills to alleviate the issue presented, by providing 2 fresh meals. The gentleman was still not happy and a manager named Jason appeared to deal with the complaint, but instead belittled the wife as the gentleman had left in disgust. I nearly intervened in the belittlement as I thought it was extremely unprofessional, unpleasant and if I was the owner, worthy of a sacking!!! I don't understand how this individual is in a Customer service role and I feel sorry for his colleagues, who were nothing but courteous, polite and so willing to help. As a result of this individual's interaction with this poor old Lady, after the departure of her unsatisfied husband, I will not return to this establishment, which is such a shame as the serving staff obviously try so hard to make you feel welcome.

Made a last minute booking yesterday evening for my husband’s 30th birthday for a party of 10. It’s our first time visiting the area (we are on a Norfolk Broads boating holiday) and we are so glad we went here! The staff were all brilliant and the food was excellent!

Table for 7 for celebration, excellent food and plentiful, presentation was excellent, waitress was exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Great food! We had as appetizer bread with olives, very tasty oil with rosemary. Main course was cod for me and my husband had the chicken. The fish and meat were served with nice vegetables and decorated with violets and it was really good. Dessert we shared a panna cotta. Yummy! Friendly staff, nice music.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and we had diner, breakfast and lunch there. I had the fish and chips for dinner and it was lovely, the fish was fresh and a good portion. For lunch, I ordered the roast pork and I must say that it was one of the best roast I have had in a while, the pork was tender, perfect crackling, lovely roast potatoes and the gravy was to die for… the portion once again was very generous. I would highly recommend it!

The location shown is wrong and the restaurant is about a mile further south than shown on the map. It was about a 15 minute walk along the prom to get there from our B&B which was very useful on the way back as it gave us a chance to let our food go down. Service in the restaurant was very pleasant and personable. The menu had some interesting offers and I went for cod loin in prosciutto ham and Deb tagliatelle with crayfish and prawn. Both were beautifully presented, generous portions and fantastically cooked. To finish I had ginger cheesecake with chantilly cream, absolutely divine! I could certainly eat there every day for a week before I wanted a change, just wonderful. The walk back along the prom was most welcome and we meandered through the water gardens again before returning to our hotel.

From the moment we walked into this restaurant we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Thank you Karolina, Sam & Jennie ( plus all the other helpful staff ) for providing first class service! The menu offered a great variety of dishes. We visited 2 evenings and for breakfast one morning during our weekend stay nearby. The food was amazing, varied and delicious. First class! Thank you.

After reading so many good reviews we decided to give this restaurant a try. Perhaps we picked a bad night but we were so disappointed! The food was ok, nothing special at all. Two of our party had fish and chips, one of the fish was quite a good size, the other was very very small and tasteless. Another one of us had Hake which again was tiny. The chicken was quite small and a bit dry, however the truffle mash was pleasant. The staff were really lovely and friendly but unfortunately got our drinks order wrong twice - not the end of the world though. The restaurant isn’t very big and quite old fashioned ( typical seaside hotel restaurant feel) again nothing special. This restaurant may suit many people but unfortunately it wasn’t for us and we won’t be returning.

A party of 20 of us went here for Sunday lunch. Everything was absolutely spot on, the service was excellent, the décor is beautiful, and the food is amazing! 20 people eating and not a single complaint - very rare for a large party. I can not recommend this place highly enough.
