Stayed here overnight, the room was beautiful and spotless ditto bathroom. We opted to eat in the restaurant and the food was delicious and plentiful, it’s probably the best vegetarian lasagne I’ve eaten, there was a good choice for vegetarians , my husband really enjoyed the gammon. We were both so full we couldn’t manage a pudding. The bar was really busy but we couldn’t hear a word from our room. I slept for nearly 9 hours which is rare for me. The staff were attentive but not overbearing, they are certainly an asset to the business that’s for certain. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We ate dinner here and breakfast the following morning. Staff were so friendly. Food options were great for me as I'm vegetarian and coeliac. Pets are welcome here and they have a small play area for kids. Highly recommend. I wish they had lounges restaurants in Scotland. Visited a few in England and Wales when visiting.

When I booked for our annual visit I was a little concerned as to whether the experience would be as good under the new owner. I needn't have worried. It was magnificent!! This thought was echoed by my party of 8. Plenty of food (we all took a box home) and pots of hot beverages. Great experience all round to the point that I have booked a return visit at Christmas for a party of 20.

Atmosphere very sombre, hard to have conversation due to it being very silent. Service very slow, felt like I was a child being told when to go for the carvery. All staff including managers don't know how to provide service with a smile, very miserable. Cutlery blunt, struggled to cut through especially the very tough beef, gravy was like water and the cauliflower cheese needed armbands as the sauce was also very runny, possibly powdered. Plates are tiny and can't fit much on, Toby carvery is definitely a better option. Also only accepts card, wanted to split the bill and that seemed like a chore

I met friends here on a weekday lunchtime. The last time I came here was almost thirty years ago when my children were small so this was a very nostalgic trip! We all had something different for lunch- quiche, salad and chips, butternut squash ravioli and baked potato with coronation chicken. We then finished off with tea and cakes. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We were served by the most delightful young man who was polite and charming. It was so good that I’ll be back this week!

Paul’s is consistently good, every time we’ve been. The food is outstanding, cooked to perfection and cannot be faulted in any way. We all commented on how delicious it was. The staff are also friendly, welcoming and efficient. This place really is special! 🥰

Second visit to this lovely village pub. The occasion was a wine night with four small plates of food accompanied by four delicious wines accompanied with wine notes from Dan, the wine sommelier at Small Beers Ltd, Lincoln. What a fabulous evening! All four food courses were just wonderful, full of different flavours bouncing about on your tongue; scallops and king prawns to start, sea bass to follow, medium rare sirloin next and a strawberry and basil panna cotta to finish, all enhanced by Dans outstanding wine pairings. With a glass of bubbly provided upon arrival, all the above for £35 per head, incredible value for money! We drove there in our Motorhome which we were allowed to park overnight on their car park with a lovely dog friendly field adjacent to it. Sam Harrison is the amazing driving force behind these efforts, ably assisted by his fantastic team, both front and back of house. An outstanding job guys, we’ll be back and heartily recommend this place.

My wife and I were on coach trip to the Great Central Railway. We stopped in Melton Mowbray for a couple of hours and decided to have lunch. We saw Miss B's sign and thought we would have a meal there. I had the steak pie with stilton. It was an excellent choice, I really enjoyed it. My wife had a cheese and ham toastie which she also enjoyed.
