Stayed at this hotel for weekend hotel Excellent food very good but what makes it very special is the Excellent staff look forward to another visit

We have never visited Melbourne before and wow what a treat! We walked into Harpours on the off chance of eating and we were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was brilliant throughout. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again

We’ve eaten at Harpur’s a couple of times this past week. The food has been great, very tasty & competitively priced. The customer service is also brilliant. They do some great offers at certain times of the week which are exceptional value eg 2 for 1 on pizzas. We could definitely recommend it to couples, friends & families looking for a meal out & we’ll be continuing to go in the months to come.

Afternoon tea, made very welcome and a nice selection of savoury, cakes and hot drinks with fizz to follow we were both very pleased.

Great meal good service and very pleasant environment. Food was a Sunday lunch roast and well cooked. In all a very pleasant experience

Visited many times now. As a couple also with family and friends. Enjoyed Sunday lunch here many times. On this visit, it was busier than I have seen it before. The food and the service was top notch. We really enjoyed it. The only reason we don’t visit as often as we would like is that it’s just a little too far from home. Every time we do make the drive it is always worth it. Thank you, and well done.

Took visiting friends to Harpurs for Sunday lunch. Food was very good, and chocolate dessert was something special! Very relaxed atmosphere - all good.

Food not up to scratch, staff quite lazy and incompetent , very quick to add a service charge which is totally unacceptable given the service and food received. This is the second time of bad service will not entertain going again.

We decided to treat ourselves so we went for afternoon tea at Harpurs. We had to change our plans/time of arrival earlier in the day but the staff there couldn’t have been more helpful to do this for us. There was a lovely warm welcome when we arrived from the manager and our waitress was immediately very attentive. She brought the food and drinks to our table without delay and made sure we had everything we needed. The chef came into the dining room to ask if we were enjoying ourselves and our food, and when we said we were struggling to eat everything he went off and put the remaining cakes into a box for us to take home with us to enjoy later. We had a lovely afternoon and will definitely go there again

The staff were friendly, and very informative as we stayed on a Half board basis This was very good value, the room was very clean and spacious

I have to say, hand on heart, this was the best fish & chips I have had in a very long time. Folk may differ but the meal was perfect for me. The batter was light and crispy and the chunky chips cooked to perfection. My wife had a steak sandwich, which went down a treat, and my son-in-law had pizza. My daughter hasd fish & chips but the gluten free option. The staff were very friendly, the pub very clean, and service excellent. I will highly recommend this place

Our first visit in a long time & we weren’t disappointed; friendly welcome, good menu choice and great value. We had wood fired pizzas and jerk pork, with spicy calamari, pickled onion rings and fries with Parmesan. All were excellent, although too much food in the end. A bonus as our bill included discounts of over £20 for the pizzas; definitely worth a visit

Visited about a year ago and was disappointed by the food we had. However, ate here on Thursday evening with a group of friends and pleased to say we had a much better experience. 3 of us had the steak and ale pies, 2 had pizzas. Pleased to say that the food was lovely, excellent service. Will definitely be back when visiting the area.

Space was "cosy". Service was fine as was the menu. Food was fine came reasonably quick. One item missing from burger. Ok sums up the experience, not cheap , average.

A large group dined here on Sunday evening at the end of our weekend reunion. The manager(sorry cant remember his name) & staff were fantastic.
