The best restaurants serving British food in Swanspool Wellingborough East Midlands

In my opinion one of the best chippy's in the town

Totally blown away, after a long hike around the nature reserve which is close by we felt a little peckish, after a quick hunt on Google I noticed this place and thought we would give it a bash. I didn't realise it would be such a great decision,it's currently going through some building work at the back but everyone was polite and welcoming, even the builders, we walked through the door and within moments we were greeted and seated. Not the normal rinse and repeat menu, such a refreshing change. After looking over their menu we decided to pick a couple of unusual sandwiches, this lead to us eating the best sandwiches of our life's... And I'm a pretty good sandwich maker 😉 It left me so happy I wanted to hug the owner and chef, I didn't, but that was the level of outstandingness achieved. We have been to top Mitchell restaurants around the world, yet a pub within an hour of my house resulted in such an amazing experience. For all that is good in the world, go... Go and eat there. A massive thank you to the owner and chef and please, keep up the amazing food.

They've changed hands recently and they now have fresh linen table cloths on all the inside tables - lovely. Also a fresh flower arrangement on each table - the extra touches make the difference. Food still great. Service attentive and quick. Keep up the good work.

Really nice atmosphere, in my fourth Lounge bar venue. The decor here is great and the use of both floors really makes this place feel grand. Candles on tables, relaxed music, and friendly staff all help, and the food was delicious.

Bar staff brilliant apart from one. Young woman who apparently thinks she is a manager is extremely rude and talks to customers like they are dirt.

If mick is ever in this place just go somewhere else

Absolutely awful WiFi. They won't tell you this before you arrive, so if you require WiFi for any reason, I would definitely avoid. I did complain about it, as it was essential for work that I had to do, but the manager wasn't interested. In addition, it's next to a noisy night club, with music and loud talking through the night. We gave up trying to sleep at 1.30am and left. An absolutely waste of money and loss of a night's sleep.

Overpriced, but aside from that the staff were all rude children - they didn't smile, didn't say hello or anything and just ignored us when we were waiting to be seen. These kids need some adult supervision and some training.
