Fabulous little cafe on Wellingborough train station which was an absolute life saver when our train get stuck in severe signalling and had no on board food or drinks. Raffi who was on her own dealing with the sudden onslaught of customers was an absolute star, just wanted to thank her for her bright smile and fantastic customer service ⭐️

Monthly catch up with family. The Ock n Dough suits perfectly with its friendly atmosphere and fine food. On top of this my wife and I visit for birthdays anniversaries etc, and other family ocassions. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous making it a pleasure to visit.

I came here for a group of friends, to have our own mini Christmas party. We booked a table for 17:30 and it was fairly quiet when we went in. Which we didn’t mind as that meant we’d get our food quick! The décor is typical of a cosy village pub with exposed wood with low lighting. There was also chilled country music playing which was right up my street and it really added to the ambience. There’s a good range of options on the menu, there’s something to suit most people’s palate. A member of our party is healthy eating, so it’s a shame there wasn’t calories listed on the menu. But she ordered what she felt was the ‘healthiest’. The food came out very quickly and was served piping hot. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was crispy, and the chips were fluffy. I didn’t have the Roast Turkey Dinner but apparently that was divine as well. We had Brownie for dessert, it was rich and fudgy. It was also the perfect size, any bigger and it would’ve been too sickly. My only negative, because it was so quiet, the service was too attentive. We got asked thrice if ‘Everything was ok with our food?’, a lady asked to clear our plates whilst someone was still eating, and they were eager to take our food order the moment we sat down. It’s nice that they were aiming to please and wanted to make sure everything ran smoothly but it did become a tad smothering. Overall, a beautiful pub, with amazing food and ample parking. Just ever so slightly let down with the service.

The Garden Deli was a little hidden gem in Nene Court with a lovely outside seating area, which has now expanded into the unit next door, the extra table seating has made the deli much more accessible when busy. For lunch we ordered tuna melt panini & avocado smash with bacon on sourdough, both meals were freshly prepared, tasty, hot & nicely presented on the plate. Will be back again soon. It is so good to see an independent business expanding & being successful 🙌

This place has gone downhill in my view. When it first started I found the selection and food quality good. However I have popped in twice in recent weeks just to pick up some ‘tasty treats’ for takeaway and found on each occasion the selection and quality below the standard I remember. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought it might be a one off but I found today was just the same. The sausage roll was stale and was the Bakewell tart. Very poor for over £9!…..this is left over stuff unsold from the weekend. However the worst aspect was the attitude of the member of staff when I pointed out the selection used to be better. I was always taught that ‘feedback’ was a gift and believed that a customers feedback should always be taken on board. But no - I was very simply told that I could “go somewhere else!” Thanks for the idea - I will!

After using Millie’s for takeaway lunch at work I thought I would go and eat at the cafe, on arrival I found plenty of parking spaces and the cafe inside had a lovely, calm, family feel to it. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and the portions were very generous

They've changed hands recently and they now have fresh linen table cloths on all the inside tables - lovely. Also a fresh flower arrangement on each table - the extra touches make the difference. Food still great. Service attentive and quick. Keep up the good work.

Great little cafe, I had a tuna melt panini. It was nice however it definitely didn’t have Mayo in it causing it to be a little Dry and usually tuna melt panini is Tuna Mayo with cheese🙈 also they only take cash which we didn’t realise until we got there but luckily I had enough on me. Overall though; a nice little cafe. Just make sure you have some cash on you so you don’t get caught out!

We used to visit this cafe very often and never had a problem! We moved out of the area decided to visit as we classed this as one of our favourite places. Upon arriving no one smiled really didn't feel welcomed, atmosphere felt odd. The food wasn't nice as we had previously experienced - the bacon was hard (rock hard) beans were cold, sausages just about warm. It was like they had been cooked and left on a heat plate or something? We ordered 3 breakfasts (2 adults and 1 older child), Our 2 young children had a sausage roll each and 2 sausages each. The price tag of £40 did NOT equate to value for money! The food standard did not equate to value for money either. We won't be back when we visit family...
