Millie's Cafe in Wellingborough

After using Millie’s for takeaway lunch at work I thought I would go and eat at the cafe, on arrival I found plenty of parking spaces and the cafe inside had a lovely, calm, family feel to it. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and the portions were very generous

Ive been visiting Millie’s now for some time. Tucked away on the industrial estate, it has easy access and parking and a full and varied menu of home cooked food. On my first visit to this hidden gem, I ordered the chilli with chips. The portion was massive, so much so that I struggled to finish it. Fabulous food and plenty of it. On my next visit, I’d forgotten how I’d struggled to finish the chilli and inadvertently ordered it again. It was still scrummy and I still struggled to finish it all! Will I ever learn….no probably not. Staff are really friendly and there’s plenty of space so you are always able to get a seat. Mmmm I fancy a chilli now………..

A friend recommended this restaurant so this morning we decided to give it a go and 'boy' we were not disappointed. Set within a busy business park, do not expect countryside views but once inside, your attention will be drawn and your taste buds will tingle with the eyewatering array of chillers and hot cabinets full of mostly home-produced fayre, and your nostrils will be full of the glorious smell of hot food being prepared in the kitchens. Every taste and dietary requirement is catered for and the friendly attentive staff will take your order. I could not fault the quality of the food which used high-quality ingredients. We speak to a lovely member of staff and discover that this hub is only the tip of the gastronomic empire because food leaves by another entrance and is loaded into numerous chiller vans that deliver the same quality food to local offices and businesses. You must try this establishment you will not be disappointed.

We are a regular customer of Millie’s, and highly recommend them. The food quality and service are both superb.

During the running of our corporate event over a two week period, Millies did a great job! Due to the nature of our customers, our needs were very specific and changed day to day. Our needs were met, with Millies providing catering both to the quality and quantity we expected and when unexpected changes in numbers of attendees came about they jumped to the rescue. The staff that worked our event were always on time, very helpful and polite, staying the extra time when we needed help with setup issues. The food they provided looked great and many of our customers said they loved the food. We will definitley be using Millies again simply for how easy they made it for us.

Had breakfast which was very good. Fast efficient service - I would have no qualms in recommending it.

We have used Millie's for Christmas dinner where I booked a table for 14 people. The food was excellent and they were very helpful with the booking. We have also used them for a small working lunch and have had take aways - never had any bad food and the staff are all very helpful and nice. It is good to have something like this on the Industrial Estate. Thumbs up from us at Sartoris

Had two cooked breakfasts which were lovely. Been in once before and this cafe is immaculate, you can also see through to the kitchen which again is spotless. Many people were coming in and buying lunch. This place really is a hidden gem.

My first impression was yes this looks good eat in or take away they pretty much make you what ever you what so I ordered a tuna mayo with cucumber sandwich on brown, I got it but in s baguette, so I thought okay it is made now so I will accept it, well ......... the baguette was hard I could not taste any tuna and it was a slimy mulch of mayo and all I could taste was cheap margarine 😷 the best thing about it was the cucumber and I was charged £4.00 for the privilege, unfortunately I cannot recommend this place as poor food and pricey

Millie's was recommended to us by an enterprise we were visiting and we were pleased to find it. Lovely warm welcome and excellent food. We took the dish of the day and it was scrumptious. We'll definitely return when we are back in the area

Upon entering the cafe for the first time we were greeted by very friendly staff who are extremely helpful. The food quality is great and would deffinately recommend their big breakfast to anyone! Everything was cooked to perfection. I can not fault any of it. Very reasonably priced food and drink too. After our meal on our first visit, we started talking to the owner. He was extremely helpful too. All in all I cannot fault Millies at all. It's good value for money, quiet, friendly and nicely furnished throughout. We are now becoming a regular returning customer.

Really love coming here. They are great with catering for my gluten and dairy free diet. My colleagues all seem to enjoy it too. Totally recommend.

Millie's cafe is one of the best cafes I have ever been to. The food is really good with a varied menu and daily specials. The staff are really accommodating and happily cater for my special dietary requirements (I'm Gluten Free). They even offer a van delivery service to local businesses!

Im not one to write reviews but after going to millies a few times over the last month i think it deserves one. The staff are friendly the food is great and with a wide variety to choose from. But the christmas dinner i had this week was better than the wifes i hope she doesnt read this.

Well... Its been a whole year since my first visit to Millie's. There is plenty to choose from on the menu, Millie's Big Breakfast, Homemade Soups, Burgers and Millies Salads for the healthy option. Service was excellent and the staff could not do enough to help make sure you had everything you needed. Could not recommend this place highly enough and looking forward to seeing them all in the New Year 2016.

Been going to Millie's for a while and really enjoy the variety of food, friendly staff and prices aren't too bad either. Can take out or sit in. I normally catch up with the newspapers on my visit.

I guess I'd fall into the category of being a regular at Millie's. The staff are always welcoming and the menu is very extensive and well priced. I've been visiting a few times a week for a couple of years and never had a complaint. They're always happy to accommodate requests for something not on the menu.I'd highly recommend Millie's for breakfast and lunch, no point in standing outside in the cold when waiting for lunch, just relax on their sofa.Keep up the good work!

Loved the new change around in millies cafe the fresh decor looks very modern and clean, the food is always at a high standard , my friend had a special dietary requirement that was fully catererd for with numerous options, looking forward to going back to try out the christmas dinner as it seemed to be a very popular choice today in the cafe !

Cracking service! Polite welcome, very clean and quick service. Food is spot on and the portions are generous. I also think they do catering but not 100% sure. They will go that extra push to satisfy any customer needs. Highly recommend!

Been here a few times, on all occasions everything was great. The place was clean, the waitresses were polite and joyful passing on their smiles to all customers. There was a lot of choice and they fitted around my friends dietary requirements. The food was fresh and good quality. It was lovely.

The sandwiches are freshly prepared and do taste nice. My only niggle is the prices are fairly high. I would expect better value for money

Went to Millie's Cafe on my work break for lunch, the cafe is spacious and clean with staff very freindly on arrival. The service was fast and the food was very tasty, definatly one of the nicest cafes in the area. Reccomended the Cafe to colleagues and Millies is now our regular Cafe for lunch. I would reccomend Millie's for lunch as the service is very quick and the food tastes great!

All the staff here are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You can ring up and have your food ready and waiting to save time if you're a bit pushed. It's a very clean cafe with newspapers to read whilst you're waiting. They do a specials board if you fancy a change from their set menu and the Latte is a must for all coffee lovers like me! Debs and the boys.

Needed something to eat while me vehicle was being serviced not knowing the area I checked out Tripadvisor and followed its directions to Millie's. The staff made me very welcome. The cafe was spotless. I had a lovely panini and wonderful fresh salad and even after I'd eaten i was assured, by a very pleasant member of staff, that there was no hurry for me to leave and offered a newspaper to read. Thank you ladies :0)

It is always refreshing to find a cafe that caters for all types of daytime diner. It is anything but a ' greasy spoon', serving a good selection of well prepared food at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and always have time for a chat and a laugh whilst also leaving you in peace to have a quiet read of the paper ( available on site).If I am in Wellingborough at lunchtime, there is only one place I head for! Keep up the good work.

We tried Millie's for lunch and found it to be really good. The staff were very friendly and served us promptly. We both had the homemade soup (Pea and Ham on the day we were there), served with a baguette, and a great big pot of tea for two. Millie's do deliveries using their vans to the surrounding area and therefore need to have the ability to produce sandwiches, soups, breakfasts etc. anyway to go out on the vans so this seems like a very sensible use of the building to also have an eat-in cafe.

The cafe is warm and friendly with very pleasant staff, and it is also nicely decorated and clean.The prices are very reasonable - so what more could you want????

I visit Millie's regularly as I have suppliers to see on the same industrial estate in Wellingborough. Like the previous reviewer I stumbled upon it by accident. The clientele is mixed and it's very bright and airy. Offers much more than a regular cafe - they even sell salads

I stumbled on Millie's café by accident. This café is top of the class . It is privately owned and doesn't belong to a chain of cafés. As I went in half ,expecting the normal smelly and greasy atmosphere but was very pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness, freshness and friendly atmosphere. I always worry a little as I am a single lady, to go to an unknown place on my own but I need not have. The clientèle ranged from the single professional lady having breakfast, a table occupied by business men having a working brnch and lorry drivers discussing the newspaper. Newspapers were on a rack waiting to be flicked through. On the strength of that I decided to have breakfast too. The menu offered a big selection of homemade goodies. I went for the big breakfast . It was massive and not greasy. I was even offered a plate of chips on the house should I want more!!!The menu is changed regularly and the owners also offered a "plat du jour". Coffee too was excellent. Service was excellent, staff cheerful and polite.I left happy and didn't leave smelling of fried food.By the way toilets were very clean. Prices very competitive
