Excellent food, excellent service. Lovely intimate setting for a celebration meal- a little pricey but we were more than happy to pay as the quality was incredible! The best place to eat in Melbourne!

Just what to say a big thank you for the owner of Forteys for letting us use there upstairs for a polar bear event with the town Christmas lights switch on last year.

We were invited to a friends surprise birthday party and fell in love with the beautiful ballroom and it’s stunning chandeliers. The service was excellent and the party couldn’t have gone better.

Food was great. Wine was lovely. Atmosphere excellent. I rated four stars because when paying we were told by the waitress there is a service charge added to the bill and did we want to remove it. It's not ideal having the waitress ask if you want to remove their tip from the bill. It is not nice feeling having the pressure of someone asking if you want to remove their tip or not.

A fantastic little place, so cosy, beautiful decor. The staff were so friendly. I tried to order the pancakes, they said 'I'm afraid they're on the breakfast menu, that stops at 1200', when I asked could they please be done for me, they were, no problem. REALLY appreciated it. Well done & thank you.

Nice place if they'd only let you inside. Waiting outside to be seated doesn't really work for a lot of people. If you can get a seat the good is really nice.

Chips were ok, as was the curry sauce and mushy peas. The fish was another story! Greasy, the fish was mushy and grey. I would be ashamed to serve that! The worse fish we have ever had.

As a family of 4 we had a lovely Sunday dinner. Great service, food lovely and value for money, we will definitely go again. We was surprised there was not more people there. Finished off by a lovely walk around Melbourne.
