The best restaurants serving Asian food in South East

Booked for a table of 13 on a Sunday for lunch to celebrate a family birthday. We had a rang of dishes which were all lovely, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I was also pleasantly surprised that they still have lunch specials on a Sunday so I had a beautiful Thai curry, jasmine rice and a soft drink for £10.99. I will definitely be back! Also there was no problem with the card machine mentioned in other reviews.

An unassuming place as you walk towards the coast. However, the looks can be deceiving as the food was amazing, the price brilliant and the staff exceptional. 100% recommended!

We had a meal here today with a group of 15 for a family birthday. The Nepalese food here is always great, and we were not at all let down today. Restaurant is lovely and clean and despite the large group our meals were all served together at the same time. It has to be said that the service here is really friendly. They did all they could to make sure it was a meal to remember. Thank you.

Upon walking in, the waitress was incredibly kind and served us so nicely. When the food was ready, there wasn’t any napkins or knifes and forks as we were getting a takeout. We then asked the other waitress if we could please get napkins and knifes and forks. By this point she was talking with her friends and had been from The time we walked in. She then gave us a cold look and seemed really annoyed that we asked her something while she was talking with her friends. She then replied and said ‘ we just got chopsticks ‘ . The food portions are incredibly small and the taste was quite bland. For a restaurant it seemed a little weird that they only had chopsticks as we don’t know How to eat with chopsticks and I’m sure not everyone does either so we struggled to eat our food. Will not be going back.

We booked this restaurant from reviews & our love for this type of food. This was a family reunion as I do not see my kids that often due to the large distance we live from each other. The meal was really nice but the whole experience was aweful. We were told by the staff that orders would take a little longer than normal but to wait 30 minutes just to order was not acceptable! It took another 30 minutes for the starters to arrive! To make matters even worse it took another 45 minutes for our main course, after asking twice where our food was! Totally disgraceful. It was a Sat night but they concentrated on their takeaway service. The phone did not stop for over 2 hrs in orders! We finished our meal, two courses, 3 hrs after arriving! I would not give this a score of 1 due to the appauling service, only 2 as the food was very nice! To make matters even worse, the price was nearly £40 pp, but what was bitter & unacceptable, no form of apology whatsoever, only to take our money, very very quickly!

It was my husband’s birthday and we chose to come to Manisha with my brother. The decor has been updated and it looks nice and bright and fresh. For starters we had: scallops, fish and king prawn. All three were delicious . Main course was: chicken balti, ocean khazana and tandoori duck, with rice, a naan, vegetable curry, sag aloo and mushroom bhajji. Chef’s cooking is outstanding and we throughly enjoyed our meal as we always do. The menu is different and although they still have the usual meals they produce exquisitely different meals. Throughly recommend this resturant.

Always very good food, staff always prompt and helpful, prices very reasonable. Worth a detour.Highly recomended.Must visit this outstanding restaurant.

Whilst staying in Bampton, decided to have a night in! Absolutely delicious curry, delivered within the time slot too. Could not fault the food for a takeaway. As good as some of the top Curry houses that we’ve been fortunate to eat at. Highly recommend

My go-to place for curries, etc. Friendy staff! Great food, but never know what food will be on as it always changes. I love the aloo tikka!! Mmm

We ordered a take away at 6.45 And waited 90 minuits for delivery, we called guljar to see where the food was and they said it would be delivered in 10 minuits, it was finally delivered and the order was wrong, the food was swimming in oil and was inedible, we will not be using that restaurant again, We were most dissatisfied with the resturant.

Quiet pub, very friendly and polite locals. Food is fantastic. Would recommend, as long as it doesn't get too busy! Decor not great.

Website says close at 11pm. Walked 1.2 mile to get there to find out door was locked at 10.05pm. Man shouted through letter box that they had shut early. Only been here a few times and have enjoyed the atmosphere and food but given the amount of other Indian restaurants around, I doubt Raj will be me choice again anytime soon
