Food was amazing This place is a great find, it’s not much to look at but the food was amazing It was a quiet night so we, with the other couple, were the only people in there so the food came out quickly It was piping hot and absolutely delicious Can’t really say much more but 100% you need to give this place a try

As a family we went to the Woking restaurant. The place looks old and dated. The server was lovely. The starters were massive, but sadly bland and under cooker( I had the pancakes) The battered prawns were also bland. My son enjoyed his meal. Mine was just a plate of tiny chicken pieces & onions in a chilli sauce, no rice or noodles were offered as a part of the dish. it was also very expensive. I wont go back there.

They were very helpful and made our son who uses a wheelchair, very comfortable. Wonderful service. Food was good and piping hot, served without any delays. I loved the kimchi pancakea, spicy pork and squid dish and bibimbap.

Simply one of the best meals I’ve had for a long time. We were in Woking for 2 nights for work and wanted some Korean bbq. Our client found Bulgogi through google and decided to give it a try over a couple of other options and without a doubt chose the right place. The food was incredible! We had multiple dishes and all were unique but equally tasty. Standouts were the pork bulgogi, Duckbokki (rice cakes with hot chille sauce) and Cucumber Muchim, however everything else we ordered was absolutely delicious! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, it made us all very happy which is what good food should do. Next time we’re in Woking we definitely will eat here again.

This is a low key place just off the main part of Woking. A friendly welcome in a comfortable space - Food wonderful - brilliant quality tempura prawns As good as anywhere and I’ve had a few including in Japan. Delicious kimchi and cucumber salad - Star of the show the hot stone bowls with rice egg and vegetables in (plus tofu for me) - absolutely outstanding. Authentic brilliant place. Go there - I could not recommend more.

As usual, amazing food. Our servers were both fantastic and extremely helpful, offering water for the table and allowing us to take our time after we finished our meal. The pork bulgogi is my favourite dish. I recommend the kimchi jeon which is crispy and light, and the cucumber muchim which is refreshingly cold yet spicy. James the owner is lovely and makes the time to speak with every customer. His lovely wife in the kitchen greets everyone with a smile. She is an incredible cook. We have been visiting Bulgogi for almost 10 years and it has been our favourite restaurant for all this time.

We love the food here. Amazing food and staff very friendly and helpful. As is our first time to the restaurant, staff help us to choice afew nice dishes. All the food served are very fresh and it taste so good.

Good food but not child friendly.We were told our children (5 yo) were too noisy (two of them and they were not running around, they just sitting nicely making funny comment playing game on the phone). Staffs were friendly and good, but seemed the manager was the one who made the complaint to our table (I didn’t see other customer made the complaint).I have been to so many restaurants in the UK, especially korean/asian restaurants, but never been like this.To the owner, probably good if you put an indication to your restaurant where “too loud” kids are not welcomed, to save people getting disappointed. Win-win solution.Definitely not coming back

Couldn’t of had a better experience at Bulgogi. We ordered multiple dishes to share between 3 of us, and every single one was extremely tasty and enjoyed by all. The customer service was also exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back.

Amazing food, lovely staff. Totally recomend to go. Rather keep it secret but they deserve the credit. The kimchi pancakes are fantastic. Good wine list and everything is super fresh. Keep up the good work

Fantastic food and excellent, friendly service. Felt very safe. Owner took the temperature of everyone entering the restaurant; menu accessed online through free wifi (October 2020). Comfortable seating and nice atmosphere. We can't wait to go back there and try more dishes.

The food is so good. Fresh, freshly cooked and delicious. The menu caters for all diets making it really easy for groups and the staff are lovely.

Great service despite the current regulations. The Kimchi Pancake was a highlight of the meal and it was all thoroughly enjoyable. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Our family favourites are bibimbap, salmon teriyaki and the gyoza but we recently discovered the 'hairy prawns' and they are amazing! Food is always delicious and the service is warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend!!

I have been here before on a few occasions.This time we have been here was not a good experience at all.Dirty table, noise and arguments coming from the kitchen.Extractor fan must have also been switched off as we have left the premises smelling all greasy.There are other Korean restaurants which fare a lot higher.Won't be missing you Bulgoney.

We went there as a big group on week evening. It was not the busiest time but most of the other customers were from Far East countries which seems a good sign. The service was reasonably quick and courteous. Nice touch to have some of the food grilled at the table. The fried rice was rather hot but nobody complained, the bolgogi meat quite sweet but very pleasant. The mixed vegetable pot, bibimbap, ordered by the person in front of me was also satisfying. We were offered some kimchi but some of us did not like it, it was ok for me. People who had been there before told us the dessert are not convincing so we did not try it, not a lot of choice anyway. The rice wine has an interesting syrupy taste that you might not want to have every day but it is nice for a change. Overall the food is salty even if not necessarily hot, you will want to drink more than usual afterwards.

The food in this restaurant is very tasty, balanced and curated. Not sure whether it’s been Europeanized or not, but it’s incredibly pleasant to eat without being too spicy, hot or unexpected.Only bad point are some waiters, who make gross mistake like rounding the price up instead of down (which is very disappointing not for the pens spent but for the principle of adding money for no service and it’s inelegant) and propose stupid things like “can I charge only one of you, ant then the other six make you transfers?”.In this terms, service is very bad.But food is good.

It's been well over six months since our last visit, unfortunately. We were absolutely delighted to find that the quality of the food and the service is still the same as ever. The food arrived quickly, starters first, and then within ten minutes of us finishing, the mains and side dish. The duckbokki is delicious and as always the seasonal kimchi was great - it's different every time we visit, but always amazing. Our waiter was attentive and great to chat to. James the owner also came to speak with us several times. We always have a great experience here and have been visiting since long before they were in this location! James is a lovely man who always takes the time to chat.Definitely visit early because they get busier later in the evening, and book on a Friday or Saturday. Weekday nights around 6 are generally quiet. The bibimbap and beef bulgogi are both delicious and I can't visit without getting the dumplings, either meat or vegetable - both are so consistently fantastic, no other similar dish from other restaurants has ever come close.감사합니다!!

Not been to Bulgogi for a year as we moved out of Woking area, pleased to say the food is as good now as it was before with a few new dishes too. Sadly the food took quite a long time to arrive probably because the restaurant was fully booked the night we went.With that said it didn’t spoil our evening and we will be back.

A quiet rainy monday evening in Woking was completely transformed by a visit to bulgogi. Every dish was amazing

1x Bibimbap: hervorragend, sehr frisch, köstliche chilli Sauce, einziges Manko weshalb nur 4 sterne: eeeetwas zu kleine Portionen.Wenn man also komplett ausgehungert ist, evtl. Etwas anderes suchen. Ansonsten für alle Liebhaber koreanische Küche sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir sind auf unserer Reise über tripadvisor auf das Bulgogi gestoßen. Vom Gesamtbild her kann ich den vorausgegangenen Bewertung nur zustimmen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch und das Personal sehr freundlich. Bei zwei Getränken und zwei Hauptspeisen sowie einer Vorspeise haben wir 36 Pfund bezahlt, was mir sehr fair vorkam. Deshalb würde ich diesen Laden mit gutem gewissen weiterempfehlen können.

Favorite food joint. Love the corn tea and dumplings veg as well as non veg once. The staff is welcoming. Place is cozy and comfortable.

This is our new favourite restaurant in Woking. Excellent service and excellent food. My personal favourites are “hairy prawns “ ( even my non prawn eating husband loved them) which are to die for, and bibimbap. Thank you.

Extremely POOR service. We waited over an hour for any food or drink. Out order was taken and we sat for almost an hour watching the waiter go back and forth on other tables. He didn't even bother to acknowledge the fact that we were waiting.

I come here a lot and the food quality is always amazing. Staff are super welcoming and friendly and are quick with orders. Never thought I'd like korean food but so glad i tried it and always look forward to my next visit.

We stumbled on this place for lunch. Very nice. Great food, lovely staff & super value for money. We had the lunch special & the dish that gives its name to the restaurant - Bulgogi. We both really liked it.

While the food is always excellent, the service is inconsistent. The last time we were there, the mains were served before the starters and the wait staff were not at all flexible with taking back the mains while we had our starters. The table next to us received some of their food but not all - how does a Korean restaurant run out of rice? Service needs to improve for me to go back.

I've been there for family dinner, we ordered foods and trying to enjoy the family time. When they bring the grill the lady who was serving the grill was grumpy. We had appetizer, then grilled menu was served at the same time our main course was served simultaneously, then I requested them to bring after the grilled menu but they left it there. Then I again requested to serve it later, but instead the male waiter became aggressive unacceptably at the same time the owner too. Hence, I didn't feel comfortable with my family there and I didn't feel to eat any more so I left the remaining food and left that premise. As a customer with a family I don't think this place is appropriate to go. I don't recommend this place to go anymore. Disgusting they don't respect the customer and family value. I could argue with them there, but I didn't due to my children were there. This is the worst place, they were treated as if they were serving free foods.

Not having sampled Korean food before, my two sons were eager and intrigued to try the restaurant on a busy Saturday night and not having booked. We were courteously found and escorted to table, that, to our surprise, has an electric/hot plate in the centre. As you would expect on a Saturday night the restaurant was busy and vibrant, and service understandably slow, but the very pleasant staff made up for this. For starters we ordered Kimchi Pancake, which was okay, but I couldn't see £7.50 worth, and two portions of Fried Meat Dumplings, which were really tasty and a starter that I would recommend.

Came here for a family dinner on a Friday night. Seems that they prioritise takeaway orders over restaurant patrons. Our food arrived all out of sync - main dishes befoe starters. Food ranged from nasty (short rib Bulgogi - just gristly tough bits of beef rib with very little seasoning or sauce) to average (rubbery bits of deep fried calamari to not bad (pork Bulgogi). Rice had unidentified black things in it.

I go here everytime I'm in Woking. Best korean food in town, I've tasted alot of the items on the menu, and they are all good.!

Ambience is a bit lacking here but it’s great for a group work lunch with fast service, hot tasty freshly prepared food that’s delicious & filling. Service is prompt & helpful. Consistent standard of service & food over months. Reasonable value.

We had a nice table for 6. We let the waitress help to choose the food, split half in what we could cook on the table and half already prepared. The phasing of the food was well timed. The beef on the table-bbq was absolutely fabulous. You don’t have to cook yourself, but you can choose to be involved. Very reasonably priced. Worth trying.

Our first experience with Korean cuisine and we thoroughly enjoyed it. All fresh, light and very tasty. I had sweet potato noodles with vegetables and it was amazing. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Highly recommended!

Really delicious, great value, great service. The fried chicken is sublime, as are the bibimbap dishes. The chef came out to say a brief, casual and sweet hello which was nice. Worth a trip to Woking in itself! Unmissable.

Bulgogi offers fantastic food, good service and friendly atmosphere for great value. The pork and chicken bulgogi have to be my favourites and there is nothing else around that compares for flavour. I can't recommend enough.

Popped in on Saturday as we haven’t visited in awhile and happy to see the standard is still the same. We had the K formal dinner which is a set meal, which is good but was slightly on the small side.

Went as a family of five on a Tuesday evening. Three of us chose the beef rib K-Formal dinner (set meal). This came as three different starters to share (chosen by chef on the day) followed by plate of marinated beef rib (off the bone), rice bowl and selection of side dishes. All of which were delicious! My only preference would be to have the side dishes hot rather than cold. But if you choose to eat Korean I guess you must expect to eat as Koreans do :) Others chose the bulgogi beef and loved this too!

Just got back from a delicious meal at Bulgogi. This was my first Korean experience and I was very pleasantly surprised. I was impressed walking in on a Monday evening and seeing the restaurant busy with diners.

We were a small group coming here for dinner and were positively surprised. This gives a good taste of Korea, in quality, friendliness and ambiance. The grilling at the table was excellent and went well with Korean beer. We'll be back.

This was our first visit to Bulgogi and after reading the reviews we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately we were somewhat underwhelmed. Firstly the service was OK & the staff were friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't inspiring, we thought all our meals were bland and lacked flavor. The dumpling starters were greasy & tasteless. We had Bulgogi (beef) which was tough and lacked any flavour, Panbroiled chicken noodle which was OK but nothing special & Bibimbap which was probably the best thing we ordered and would be my choice if I went back.

I visited with my family. We enjoyed Pageon, Soft Tobu stew with seafoods, Chiken Bulgogi and Pork Bulgogi. We were very happy to eat delicious Korean foods. The manager was very kind and all staffs are friendly. Very good price! I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Food was well executed and authentically tasty. Drawback is when the bill arrives, to find they add 10% service, which is to be expected; but they then add another 20% VAT on top of the total, including the service charge. Making an additional charge of 32% on top of the bill. To have the VAT exclusive rather than inclusive of the prices on a menu is not standard restaurant practice and not highlighted on the menu - no doubt it's hidden somewhere. Happy to leave a tip and service charge, but 32% on top of what would have been a mid range bill, seems to be skirting legality.

We came here after a number of my Korean colleagues said the food was great and we weren’t disappointed.

This was our second visit. We decided to go for the grill at the table .We had the pork belly( cut very thin) and the sirloin steak. Steak was a good size. The friendly staff help you with the cooking. Turning the good and also cutting the steak. They are also happy to recommend dishes if you are unfamiliar with Korean food. Eating from the grill is great with a group. Very sociable eating.

I went to Bulgogi for several times. I super surprised when I had the first bite of seafood pancake! Soooooo good! I highly recommend the king prawn and chicken Gangjung. My child loves them a lot. The kimchi there is authentic or even better than I had in Korea. The sauce of hairy fried shrimps is special that u can’t figure out what’s in it but I like it. Believe or not, beef bulgogi /bibimbap are best choices for non-Asians. And my friend likes pork belly and rib eye grilled on the table Which is quite eye-opening tho. One more! Don’t forget to have Mochi (iced chapssalduck ?) for the dessert

Spontaneous visit. We love real Thai (almost impossible to find in the UK) and most other middle and far eastern cuisine. Never had Korean. We loved it. The service was friendly and informative and the food superb. Having the main cooked at the table just added to the experience. My recommendation, just visit, you won't regret it.

So this was our first time going, a party of 5 people. The food does tend to come out at different times, but that is part of the charm. Everything was very fresh. In particular the beef curry was very tasty and a large portion. The prawn fried rice was very fresh. We need some practice on what to choose off the menu, and the place was full of Korean's eating so that is always a good sign. The service was very good. We will go back and send a little more time working out what to pick, or even ask!

This is my first taste of Korean food and really liked it so cannot compare to the authenticity. However loved what I ate. The food tends to come as it is ready so when eating in a group, people may get starters before others especially if you order the crispy prawns (which are divine). Works well if you are sharing starters though.

I can't think of any other restaurant in Woking that is so consistent in delivering great food. Although the service can sometimes be slow (they have worked on improving on this), the food (in particular, the pork bulgogi) is exquisite. Not to mention it's dirt cheap!

A really enjoyable meal, hairy prawns and jellied eels were quite memorable but every dish tasted good, with no unpleasant aftertastes or feeling bloated or fatty. My only recommendation is not to order multiple bottles of soju.. the chef came out and we thanked him for preparing a fine meal and he was quite appreciative and gracious

Every thing we had was tasty. Very authentic dishes. Also first time I had a Korean drink called soju. Nice but easy to over do. Excellent service and reasonable wine. Will definitely go again.

Service was very attentive and friendly. However, the food really let the experience down. The LA galbi meat quality was terribly poor - totally rubbery and tasted unusual and odd (we eat this dish quite regularly). The Korean cold noodle is one of the least authentic tasting cold noodle dish I've ever had in England. Chapchae was ok and the chilli octopus was well made (thank goodness..). Avoid if you fancied a real Korean dining experience.

We stumbled across this place when searching for somewhere to eat that wasn't too busy. Bulgogi is a little off the beaten path and not near the other restaurants in Woking. The staff are a credit to this place, really friendly and helpful. We had a few starters and each had a main, the food was served promptly and tasted as good as it looked. I had the chicken bulgogi, the fried king prawns and kimchi fried rice. Definitely one worth visiting.

Well, not just Koreans, but it's always a good sign when you see people who know and appreciate an ethnic cuisine, and not just the uninitiated. Anyway, very good meal, with Korean beer to boot. I especially enjoyed my starter, pajeon, or pancake/tortilla with prawns and green onion stuffing. Then I had a pan-broiled noodle dish, also with prawns. Friendly service, clean restrooms. Oh yes: they open as early as 5:30 pm, a big help if you're already famished.

Went for a quiet dinner as a couple. Very relaxing and unpretentious. The food is lovely and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Skipped everything on the menu and went for the formal dinners. The Beef Bulgogi and the Marinated ribs were outstanding. Some of the starters were very good. There was one starter that was not upto the mark - a beef/lettuce salad which had too much sauce (but that is being picky). The sides were very good We washed all of if Makgeolli - Korean rice wine which added to the experience. Top place in Woking to go. Got us some change from £60 and well worth it.

I visit this restaurant regularly and always find it excellent. This time I was there for a birthday meal and nothing has changed (apart from the wait staff, who seem to be different every time). We ate dumplings, kimchi jeon, tofu bibimbap and kimchi stew, and were given fried prawns complimentary. We were also served complimentary makgeolli - a Korean rice wine that I have never tried before, so it was really appreciated to have the chance! At the end of the meal we were preparing to pay and were served a third complimentary dish of ice cream-filled mochi.They were extremely generous and made my partner's birthday very special. The price was more than reasonable - £45 for two, including Korean beer.Best restaurant in Woking.

My wife and I wanted a different dining experience and we certainly got this here. We had Japchae to start followed by Bulgogi and the marinated Beef ribs. It was all delicious and we got complimentary melon for dessert. The service was very good and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

ㅣvisited Bulgogi on 10th of May and ordered 3 dishes (Shrimp, Mushroom, and Soybean paste soup). To my understanding, the chef does not use chemical ingrediants. They were so dilicious. The owner was so kind and helpful. In near future, ㅣwill visit Bulgogi again and taste diffetent dishes.

We visited Bulgogi on a rather spontaneous date night and because we couldn't get a reservation at our local Turkish restaurant.We decided to try something new and neither of us had eaten Korean before...I am so grateful the Turkish place couldn't fit us in or else we'd have missed visiting this little gem! The food was incredible, as was the service (we even got cheery goodbyes from the kitchen staff when we left!) And the cost for what we had was superb! We shall definitely be back!!!!

Really impressed by the amazing taste of every dish offered. The home-made kimchi is spot on, and as a Korean wife/mother who’s been cooking Korean dishes for 30 plus years, I can tell no shortcuts have been taken in all the ingredients etc. No MSG whatsoever. The “son-mat” (a Korean term for the “plus alpha” taste that comes over and above on top of the ingredients alone) topnotch. You should really try the soft tofu stew with seafood; I have not tasted a better-tasting version even in Korea! Also, the Korean-themed interior design also stands out. I went to this restaurant with my friends. We ordered the Japchae, fried baby squid and rings, beef bulgogi, kimchi soup, chichen gangjung and other dishes. The taste is very good. I like kimchi soup because I like spicy foods. The boss also very nice. After the meal, they gave us free ice cream.It is an unforgetable the restaurant and I will go to this restaurant again.

I have a meal whenever I miss my hometown dishes. I can feel warm-hearted this restaurant. The taste of dishes is not artificial by MSG, but so tasty. I've never been disapointed by the dishes and the service so far. Especially, the chilly sauce of this restaurant seems to have something special. So, if you like spicy taste, I'd like to recommend you to try chicken or pork bulgogi(signature menu), bibimbap, and kimch fried rice. Also, japchae is so nice.
