Yet again incomplete order delivered! If you want what you order, I suggest you order elsewhere. Phoned up the moment it arrived amd was passed to three people with the manager arguing by the end. Lesson learned, I'll order elsewhere in future.

Always welcomed by the owner, the staff are very attentive & friendly. Was recommended the lamb special which had a lovely flavour & the lamb melted in your mouth. All six of us were impressed with our meals. Would highly recommend.

Went for our Anniversary dinner tonight, had an amazing dinner. Food was delicious and full of flavour, price was really reasonable for a 3 course meal and wine at £69. Coffee was complementary as was 2 ice liqueur shots. Food full of flavour and just the right amount of heat to satisfy my husband who likes hot spicy curries and me who prefers milder spices. Was a wow meal from start to finish. Service was excellent and staff member who served us was really friendly and helpful and gave great advice. They made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go back.

Manisha is the best Indian restaurant in Strood. Every dinner we've had there has been truly excellent and the quality is so consistent. The owner buys top quality fish and meat from his suppliers and it really shows. Strongly recommended.

Ordered a take away as eaten here before and it was amazing but I’m really sorry the service we received today was shocking Nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes for food to arrive freezing cold! Parts of order missing l!! Rang to say I wasn’t happy and they wanted to cook me a fresh one but will take another 45 minutes or they wanted to give me discount for nxt time No sorry I don’t want discount as I won’t be coming back I would like my money back!!!

This is just a wonderful place to eat, the ambiance is fantastic, Food just out of this world. Every time we visit there is a warm welcome from all the staff including Chef & Owner, I tend to order the things I know I like but end up wanting to know what the next table had because it smells divine. Have introduced so many of our friends to 'The Manisha' and all have nothing but great comments, including a non Curry eater who has Steak.

The best Indian food I've had in a long long while. Amazing flavors in all of their dishes and they have achaar (pickles) which I haven't seen in a lot of restaurants. Beautiful food, absolutely recomend it!

This place is great, firstly we had an Indian waitress which made a pleasant change from most other curry restaurants then we were treated to fabulous food and service and later in the evening we were entertained by the singer waiter with his guitar. We had a really enjoyable evening and would definitely return.

Another great meal at Manisha, our favourite place to eat. You always receive a warm welcome and the food is delicious every time. Such a friendly relaxed place foe a meal out. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Had a takeaway last night and I’m sorry was really poor and tasteless. I ordered online and 20 minutes later it arrived. For £30 For 2 people i expect a lot better

This was our first visit and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing, the best Indian meal we’ve had for a very long time. Great choice of vegetarian dishes too many more than you would usually find. Will definitely be going back.

WE have become regulars at the manishe . However this was the first time with our family. They were all very pleased with the food. The nice 'extras ' that made us feel special. . It was a celebration and they surprised us with congratulations sang by Cliff richard. We were laughing so much as as everyone else the restaurant joined in. The the waiter got his guitar out and we sang happy birthday to another party. .It was one of those nights. First class food first class service all first class. . just brilliant . thank you

Oh wow! We visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday with some friends and was not disappointed! The service was amazing. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a bit of a laugh with our waiter who was lovely. The food was great, hot, delicious and good portions. We’d mentioned that it was a birthday celebration as we were chatting and didn’t think nothing of it but then after our meal, there was a lovely surprise when the waiter appeared with a guitar and sang happy birthday - the whole restaurant joined in and it was just lovely. Thank you to the team here for making it a lovely evening for us! We’ll definitely be returning!!

I hardly every write reviews but I feel obliged. I dined in at Manisha yesterday and was so impressed I ordered takeaway today. Obviously dining is is a better experience with food delivered straight from the kitchen but delivery didn't disappoint. My Shashlick came sizzling to the table and was tender and bursting with flavour, as as my accompanying Korahi and all other dishes we ordered. Salads were fresh and crisp both in house and takeaway, which not the case with a lot of restaurants. The service was great and staff were really friendly, offering advice on dashes. I'm not going to downgrade the review but the only downside as someone who appreciates copious amounts of chilli is that after asking for extra green chilli on my Korahi it arrived with a couple of slithers and the Phall I ordered takeaway was what I would call a Vidaloo at best ... but if you love flavour then I highly recommend this restaurant ... just BYOC if you like it hot!

This was the best Indian meal I have ever had! My usual Khatti Meethi Chicken mixed with a bit of the wife’s Chicken Tikka Vindaloo (yes, she wears the trousers), Onion Bhaji on top…Fantastic.

Had one of the best meals at Manisha. The service was fantastic and the food better. I had the fish curry and have to say it was the best curry ever. My family all enjoyed their food too and there were no empty dishes. We felt very safe, with phone number taken immediately, hand sanatiser at the door and some screens between tables. Definitely will be back soon. Well done Manisha - Five Stars.

I have written a review here before but just wanted to place a coming out of Covid post. The guys have done really well with making the covid-secure environment as friendly and as safe as possible. Tables are well spaced and transparent screens block off various parts of the restaurant creating "safe" areas. The food and welcome was as great as ever. The "eat out - help out" discount was fully applied and explained so we knew exactly the breakdown of the bill. I would urge anyone to go out and support their local businesses especially when they try as hard as they can to provide their customers the best experience they can in these difficult times.

I have been visiting this restaurant now for several years and they never fail to produce an amazing meal in clean, pleasant surroundings. The Manisha is now fully open again following lockdown. They have Perspex see through screens between tables for safety. My wife and I felt very safe on our visit and recommend you visit. For us this is the best Indian restaurant around.

We usually eat in the restaurant, but due to the current conditions we decided to try a takeaway. I have never been one for liking an Indian takeout as never seem to taste the same as when you eat in.The food we had last night was absolutely wonderful, full of flavour and really enjoyed what we had. Would definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t already.

First time using this takeaway and my god it was lovely . The portions are massive and the food/main dishes are full of flavour . I had the lamb madras , lamb could of been bit less chewy but still lovely and wife had chicken pasanda . Must try coconut rice too amazing that . I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to say that Manisha has taken the place of a local legend in the Shozna and, while we hadn't been swerving it deliberately, it took a while before giving its replacement a try.That delay was, it turns out, a mistake. While one can't judge an Indian restaurant wholly on one visit, every dish that was brought to our table was a delight.I started with a tandoori main course, which was sizzling, plentiful and very tasty. We were a party of five, and there was enough for everyone to try even after I'd had my fill.The main courses were wide-ranging and there was enough variety on the menu even without the specials that it would certainly allow a few visits without getting anywhere close to repeating a meal, which is an advantage. I would say that the spice level in manageable - a few Medway restaurants have dishes that are a lot hotter than one would associate with their name, that was not the case here.There were little touches too, that make a meal feel a little more special, a pre starter being served, the glasses (I had Kingfisher, and the pint glasses are fabulous) and the quality of the dips with the poppadoms.All in all, it was a pleasant experience, and I'm sure we'll be back. I might have missed my favourite starter, but I think I found a new one.

Yes I know its not been the Shozna for two years but its taken a while for the minor sense of betrayal to pass after the unexpected closure of the place we had so many great meals and happy times. So when it was time for a boys night out it was time to give the Manisha a go and I must say what a wasted two years from my perspective.The welcome was warm and friendly. The poppadoms fresh and crisp with the usual accompanying sauces (lime pickle outstanding) followed by an amuse buche of a spinach fritter which was complimentary and delicious. I had the mixed tharli for my main which I would highly recommend but next time would ask for a bit more spice in one of the two curries.All in all the food was on another level!Customer service was spot on and very well judged for a bunch of blokes on a midweek treat with just the right amount of cheeky banter.I couldn't recommend this place any higher.Great job guys!

We were walking from the marina into Rochester when we passed this restaurant along the road. Decided we would go in and give it a go. We weren’t disappointed, the staff were friendly and the service was great. Food was tasty and well priced. Highly recommended.

Another great meal at the Manisha last Saturday night, dined in with our family and was not disappointed.The only draw back was the type of lettuce used in the salads, would prefer the traditional ice-berg type with our meal!!Always recommend this Indian restaurant as the food is fantastic, traditional, and quality ingredients are used, and probably the best around.Good service and atmosphere.

Visited Manisha for a birthday treat for my son in law and his mother. Six in the party. Restaurant nicely decorated. Clean and tidy. Food was good. My started was gorgeous. Drinks good. Service was good. Waiter was efficient, businesslike and detached. Can't fault his service at all just wish he had warmed a little, smiled, been a bit more human. My daughter has had takeaway from here and she said it was very nice.

We have dined here occasionally and always thought it was good. This time around it excelled. It just ticked every box for us and as we have been looking and trying out for a favourite/regular Indian restaurant it went straight in at number one. OK right so your question is why? Lets start with the reservation. I emailed for a table and time and received an answer confirming almost immediately. We even got the specific table i requested. Parking is available just behind the restaurant which is helpful. The welcome was instant and friendly as soon as we walked in, and continued in the same way. The menu had a few "new" and different dishes which made for a very pleasant, interesting and delicious change from the usual. The size, space and decor of the restaurant helps to make it a little more intimate, warm and friendly. with softer furnishings than other local restaurants so it is less noisy. What else did we like? Well the quality of the food was superb and portion size perfectly judged so our tasted buds and our appetites were satisfied to the max (Thanks to "Lal" ). Having our naans cut into four, having a complimentary "chefs appetizer" and an immaculately dressed, friendly and efficient front of house team lead by "Mai" (apologise if spelling is incorrect) who looked after us impeccably just topped everything.

This is a lovely restaurant. Clean surroundings. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Sensible prices. Probably the best Indian restaurant in the Medway towns. Would definitely recommend.

I came here with my dad a few nights ago and I can honestly say it was such a great curry.

Been to this restaurant couple of days back with my old friends .portions of curry were very small specially my chicken mossala is filled with sauce and very small chicken pieces . It’s like eating a kids meal .same thing with the chicken tikka biryani they charged us ten quid for a small portion and it’s of very poor taste .we left the dish over .

Our meal was fantastic! Tandoori lamb chops were to die for . Our 4 curries were unbelievable the flavours and heat were so good need to go back asap

Our go to Indian restaurant. Small intimate and very friendly restaurant. The food is always fresh tasty and delicious. The staff are polite know their business and happy. On many occasions the chef will come out stop at every table and enquire about our dining experience . The food last night was wonderful, the mixed sharing plate for two great value. The mains plus sides great. Their rocket (make sure you only order it if you like your food on the hot side) naan can not be beaten. They have a nice policy of bringing to the table a small appertiser between the popadoms and starters free of charge. To sum it up they do there best to make your visit worthwhile. Looking forward to our next curry night. Oh and the takeaway service is also first class . Yes me and my wife love the place.

Popped in here tonight for a take away meal for myself and family, food was amazing really tasty and fresh..they must have great talent as the spices were on point! Next time we will sit down in this restaurant to fully enjoy the experience of a perfect curry! Very happy customers 5 plus stars!

Been hers twice in 2 weeks, went in by chance one Friday night, no problem. Great service great food their King prawn dhansak is 2nd only to the Taj in Walderslade. Took the family back a week later again great food great service can't recommend this restaurant enough.

We have been using the Manisha for well over a year now and it's by far the best curry house around. I'm a vegan and it's never a problem as the friendly and welcoming staff always are helpful and advise me on my food choices and will adapt dishes for me.Restaurant is very clean and smart and we won't go anywhere else! Give the Manisha a try, you won't be disappointe!

We went there for the first time since it changed its name and we were a not sure... but we were not disappointed: the food was very good and the service was excellent. We will definitely come back to try more new dishes on their menu.

Three weeks back we ordered a delivery for curry night and really happy with taste and flavour so we decided to dine in . All of us visited to dine in last week and staff was soo smart and really professional . Taste is good as expected .All was good until chef turns up from kitchen with dirty uniform . His jeans and shoes are really dirty and uniform is covered with stains . Moreover he is starring at us while we eating and giving us awkard smiles . Really felt sick by seeing his attire . I am giving three stars only for staff and service

Me and my friend went today after a hard gym session. We was going take away but thought, lets relax and stay. Food was amazing. The staff was very kind and helpful. Will go back for sure

Went with my husband. This was a second visit. Had an early booking as we were going on from there. Food very nice. Waiters were fine. Seating was comfortable. Resturant looks almost the same as it did when it was Shozna. Will prob go again.

I visited this restaurant when it was the Shozna and vowed I would never go back, it’s the same restaurant outside but WOW has it changed inside. The staff are friendly, courteous and can’t do enough for you. The food is delicious, flavoursome and nothing is too much trouble, more spice, less spice you name it they will create your dish so it’s just how you would like it. Each time I go back it gets better and better! Definitely worth a visit

As a loyal Shozna fan I was a bit wary of trying the new "Manisha" I had no reason to be wary at all, great service, great menu and fantastic food.

food was cold when served and tasted disgusting ,they had used the cheapest cuts of lamb as all chewy and full off gristle ,would never go back

We have eaten in the restaurant many times and have never been disappointed, we decided to give the new takeaway service a go. We weren’t disappointed. Food was as good in the restaurant and delivered before the ETA. Can’t recommend Manisha enough

First time we have tried since this was the Shozna. Food ok, need to try couple more times with different options so see how they compare. One thing was delicious was the chick pea curry.

Was worried about going here as we were so happy with Shozna. We needn't have been. Wonderful food, excellent service. Would highly recommend Manisha - nothing is too much trouble for them.

All dishes were pretty oily and the meat content was small. However the spices were ok and the Bombay aloo was very tasty. However, this is the problem with Trip Advisor; there is only ‘average’ or ‘very good’...where really I would preferred to say ‘good’. I’d get a take away from there again though. :)

We have eaten here several times now. Best Indian restaurant I have been too.

Back again and only has got better. Menu has some new dishes, as well as a selection of others not found on a typical Indian menu. Everything tastes really fresh.and their is plenty of it. Service is excellent. Especially liked salmon tika and manisha mixed house special. Excellent value for money. Will be back again.

Each of the four times we have been since the new ownership the food gets even better. From the outside the place looks quite ordinary, near a launderette and some other shops, but overcome this and go in - you will have a culinary treat. What's more you will get really well looked after by the staff. But the main thing is the subtle tasty range of dishes. My mouth is watering as I write, remembering the food. It was a Sunday evening this time and people are obviously getting wise as most tables were occupied. Surely a contender for the best Indian restaurant in Medway. We will be back.

We visited Manisha on the back of the great reviews on this site, and were so glad we did! We had 3 children with us, and they were made very welcome. The food was really delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the South Indian curry from the House Specials list, and the Balti/ saag were very tasty and fresh. The inevitable spilt rice from a 5 year old was met with a cheery smile and assurance that it was no problem and 'they would just get the vacuum out'. Lovely little touches too- like the little samples of 2 nibbles after the poppadoms. All in all, really lovely staff and nice atmosphere. We were only on holiday in the area, but wish we had a Manisha close-by.

Formally the Shozna, now under new management and a new chef who came out to say hello and check that we enjoyed our meal. The cooking for excellent, we were very well tended to and I strongly recommend this venue for a good Indian meal.

I decided to return to manisha with a few friends in tow, as haven't been able to find an Indian restaurant to compare this too.. I have visited many Indian restaurants all around England but currently this one is by far my favourite. The menu is vast and the food always full of flavour. The service has been excellent both times and I love the mini appetizers they give you.. I had a wonderful evening and will be looking forward to visiting again.. no other Indian restaurant had lived up to manisha in my opinion this year!

The Fantastic gifted chef has produced the best Indian dish I have ever had with the "Street Style" Sweet Chilli Chicken! Warning: Rocket Naan is not for the faint hearted!!Every one of our six meals was top notch.Try it.......

Firstly I would never give a restaurant a 5* if it had a TV on the wall....but this is the exception!The complex flavours from all the dishes we chose were nothing short of spectacular! Salt and pepper pots on the table....but you won't need them, all dishes seasoned to perfection, a serious treat!The restaurant is quite small but that increases the appeal, the service from the staff is fabulous.If you're a fan of Indian food and need a serious tastebud treat, you have to try Manisha, one of the dishes was King Prawn Vindaloo, quite easily the nicest curry I've ever had!

Best Indian restaurant in Kent - amazing service, exceptional menu and great atmosphere. We've been eating here since the restaurant opened and have never been disappointed.

Visited with friends who are regulars. Parking can be an issue. Nice clean restaurant but a small single toilet for each sex. Food was usual standard Indian fare. Was expensive for just two courses and a few drinks.

We have been meaning to try Manisha ever since the restaurant changed hands from the Shozna. We were not disappointed! The menu is innovative and the staff are absolutely lovely. The medallions of venison were especially good as was the fish curry. It is so nice to experience a more modern and original Indian meal - but 'old favourites' are still available if wanted. The bill was reasonable. We had a lovely evening and will be going back!
