Yumi Yumi Chinese Restaurant & Takeaway in Rushmoor

Came here for a quick takeaway. Really really nice chinese food, what you’d expect. Friendly service, 10% was taken off the bill (I’m not sure why) and they have a customer loyalty program with a stamp card. I’d happily come back if I’m ever in the area again.

I’m visiting Farnborough today but Yummi Yummi was recommended to us. I live in Stratford Upon Avon a 100 miles away, There are so many restaurants there your spoilt for choice. But I’ve given up eating Chinese food as it is so so bland. The food I’ve eaten tonight is out of this world, everything is flavoursome, the chow mein is so so tasty, the king prawn balls are double the size we get in Stratford and the flavour is wow even the egg fried rice is flavoursome, I could have just eaten the rice it’s so tasty and the portions are huge. We have family here is Surrey so I know for a fact that when we come here again we will be ordering from this takeaway again. 100%. Well done, brilliant food. We live it.

Lovely Sunday lunch buffet- order your own dishes from an extensive menu - very good value. All dishes very good especially staters and Duck.

Never had a bad experience here. Whether we go as a couple or as a group the service never changes they are so happy to cater for any needs including allergies!The food is incredible, we haven't found another Chinese which compares. So much so we are now will to travel over 30minutes to get to this restaurant after moving out of the area.I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great quality food for an excellent price.

We were going to book a table, but at short notice this wasnt possible, however Yumi Yumi do takeaway with no such restrictions, we ordered several dishes, the Hong Kong Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Wor Tap Chicken.Portions were well sized and more than enough for two people.Complimentary Prawn Crackers, very friendly and helpful lady who took the order. Easy pick up, hand sanitiser available before entering.

Food tasted very odd. Watery and very sour Sweet & Sour Prawns, Egg Fried Rice that didn’t taste like it had been fried and which had very little by way of spring onions or anything giving it flavour (tasted like boiled white rice to which a bit of egg has been added), Steak in Pepper Sauce was overwhelmed by the large amount of coarse-ground pepper in it. Unsure how this takeaway has gotten better reviews than other nondescript Chinese takeaways in the area, but whomever is in the kitchen hasn’t a clue what Chinese food - good or average suburban takeaway standard - should taste like. Taste and quality wise, the food wasn’t totally poor but certainly below average.

Good food at an affordable price...All you can eat menue £18. only pay for drinks & puds. Staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly. We will return.

Service was very good. Food was excellent the only downside was that it was quite noisy because it is so small. Otherwise nice atmosphere.

Fantastic service throughout the experience from booking for a group of 18 to making a minor change and arriving and everything waiting perfectly for us. Had been previously with my family and very pleasantly surprised how well the staff coped with a large group with absolute ease and made for a very stress free and successful meal, many thanks.

A Group of six of us visited this restaurant for a quiz team celebration i must admit it does not look in tip top condition decor wise but it mskr up for this in serving great food the price for the buffet is £17.99 is well worth it all the food is cooked to order and you dont suffer tepid food the starters we had was Unlimited seaweed chicken satay ,squid and the rest of the traditional starters. we had the crispy duck to follow end with a beef chow mien.staff good drinks reasonably price i will be eating here again

All you can eat Sunday menu is fantastic, can’t recommend enough. Assisted with fantastic and attentive service. Highly recommended

Five of us went for a Birthday meal which we all thoroughly enjoyed We tried the all you can eat menu and were not disappointed The food was great, the service excellent and cheerful and the bill not to expensive but you should note the service charge is included in the bill

Sunday evening buffet was a fantastic choice, as much as you want for £14 a head.Food is really tasty, and as much as you can eat. Just keep ordering what you want from the menu.Service is outstanding, they just never stop.The place is small and intimate, but is a comfortable noise level, and a good range of drinks.

The sort of place you'd normally walk past, we'd never heard of it before, and a friend suggested we try the all you can eat, wow the food is amazing, we had about 10 dishes between the four of us and all were superb.The prawn dishes were tasty and flavoured wellWill definietely be making a return visit soon.Oh and the all you can eat price is brilliant.

Very surprised with the selection of food for an all you can eat. The food is cooked fresh, so all those yummy crispy dishes were amazing! Prawns were cooked to perfection and the portions a perfect size to share. We had about 8 dishes between 2 of us.

Wow. When a local public house said no more roasts available, we came to Yumi Yumi. Well what a find. Don’t be put off by the outside. Inside is a real treat of a Chinese restaurant. We went for the eat as much as you like menu but stuck to prawns in ginger and garlic and the crispy shredded beef. All dishes were freshly made with great flavours. On top of this great service too. We shall be coming back. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Was invited here as part of a large Birthday Celebration, they also had another large group in the restaurant. Due to illness their was only one server and do you know what? I almost didn't notice this.

Ate here as a large group. We each ordered a meal. It was cooked freshly while we waited and served with a smile by the friendly waitress. WoulWould recommend

we have been a few times and always served quickly and plenty of choice. think if a buffet all you can eat, but without the buffet !! you get served like a normal restaurant, just keep ordering till you are full. love it.

It’s small inside and busy def need to book. Food was really good it’s order whatever you want from the menu great selection of food hot and tasty well worth a visit.

One of the best restaurants in northcamp amazing food and really good quality too, staff are always so friendly and they also do a reward chart for takeaway regulars. We always choose this Chinese it's just a shame they dont deliver! But can take nothing away from their food being a 10 out of 10

If you like Chinese food like I do and have been eating it since I was little Do not Eat here ! Absolutely Awful! Sweet and sour prawn so over cooked the prawns were hard and all the sauce tasted of was vinegar. Honey ribs no sauce hard and didn’t taste of honey , chilli beef chewy and not nice , on the whole most went in the bin . Disappointing valentines meal !

Good service and restaurant looked ok. But when we got home it was poor quality food. Ended up throwing 1/2 of it away.

I visited here Saturday evening for the first time. This was for my uncle, auntie and sisters birthday and altogether ten of us went. the restaurant is very cosy and makes for a great atmosphere. the food was very nice indeed with a great verity on the all you can eat menu. The were very friendly and happy to help, always keeping on top of drinks and seeing how you all were. We all had a great time and will definitely be back and looking forward to seeing our group picture on the Facebook page!

If you want luxury, don't go. If you want good food, good service and beer then make a visit. Food made to order, eat all you can for £17. Sounds a lot but if you can eat a lot and like Chinese food I believe you will not be disappointed.

As most are saying on here, Please don't be put off by the decor, yes the place is in deperate need of a decor up-date, but the food is outstanding, We loved it all, i'd say one of the best Chinese Restaurant & Takeaways in the area, and the staff are lovely,

We have passed this parade of shops frequently and noted the little sign. For the first time we decided to get food - not wanting to dine in tonight (Netflix and chill calling) we decided to get a takeaway.

This is a good quality Chinese restaurant that does an eat as much as you can buffet. The decor isn't that great and the first impression could put you off but don't be. The service was very good, the only thing that annoyed me was the 10% service charge that was added to the bill. I like to decide whether to tip or not

I've read the bad reviews, and I can't help wondering where they ate; I don't recognise Yumi Yumi, though I suppose the kitchen might have been having an off day - or maybe just an off customer?

Yumi Yumi truly is the best all you can eat in the area, the menu is huge and everything is freshly cooked!

Don't be put off by the decor. Service and food fantastic, fresh to order. All you can eat menu available. Good as Wings at a fraction of the price. Would recommend to anyone.

We had dinner here on a Friday night, only 4 other tables used during that time, but as there are probably only about 8 tables it was quite full.

Went here with my wife and I was told by friends to ignore the decor as its very dated and they were not wrong they even have a dumb waiter to send the food down and its like being back in the 80s.That said the staff are extremely friendly and the food is very nice we will definitely be going back as it is better than the so called more upmarket restaurants in the area

Situated near a busy road, this place certainly looks nothing special from the outside. Stepping inside and it has a homely, if rather dated and tired decor complete with plastic plants and strip lights.

Although it's not much to look at from the outside and it's situated in an area that leaves a lot to be desired, don't let it fool you. This place is a hidden foodie gem of Farnborough. We booked a table for 9pm as it was fully booked and this was the only spot left, but we got a call at around 7 saying they'd had a cancellation and would we like to come in earlier, which was a very lovely touch. We got the AYCE Buffet at £17.99 per person and was not disappointed. The Duck pancake starter was so nice, I had another portion...and wasn't judged for it! The service was on-point and served with a smile - I would thoroughly recommend, and I will absolutely be returning.

We went here for a family birthday celebration and all I can say is that it was a lovely experience. The outside is quite nondescript, but some of the family had eaten here many times and said how good the food was so all 15 of us met here and it turned out to be a first rate place for delicious food, wonderful service from two of the friendliest ladies I have met. Nothing was too much trouble and all the food was piping hot and tasted Yummy! There was a wide variety of drinks as well, so everyone was happy with the choices. It’s an “ All you can eat” menu and they lived up to heir claim. We will definitely go there again the next time we visit our family.

The Chop Suey consisted of a load of bean sprouts, a couple of bits of chicken sitting in what can only be described as a very greasy sweet and sour sauce. I will apologise if this is what Chop Suey is, but i doubt it.

Came in on Tuesday evening with a group on Friends. As always the food was great, the staff that work here are very friendly and polite.

This was unexpectedly good! Out for midweek eats with my sister, and she persuaded me to try this place. I was in the mood for a Chinese so obliged and was so pleased I did.

We've eaten here many times. It doesn't look much from the outside but it's nice inside. The food is always good. The menu is all-you-can-eat, but unlike other all-you-can-eat places you order what you want and it's cooked fresh, instead of being a buffet where the food has been sitting there for ages.

Unpretentious but very clean, this restaurant provides a choice of dishes which is wide and varied. Duck, prawns, and lamb jostle with pork, beef and chicken. At £15 per head for an all you can eat meal, it's difficult to see how this little gem could be bettered.

I met up with some ex-colleagues, and was absolutely bowled over by the atmosphere and consummate skill of the service. It was absolutely unflappable, tasty food arrived with little delay on hot dishes. Definitely one for a revisit!!

Ate in Yumi Yumi last night and could not be happier! We were a table of 12 ladies having a work meal and despite the restaurant being quite small the service was excellent. The food was really good - I recommend the dumplings! Thank you...

The bad reviews on here really shock me but I suppose you can't please everyone all of the time.

Not enough staff, ridiculous wait times for service. Food is cold by the time you get everything you need with it . One price in menu, but everything is more expensive when the bill eventually comes. Hot and stuffy, even on a cool night. To add insult to injury they add a service charge to the bill.

Visited this small intimate restaurant with friends. The food and service are very good and it is excellent value for money. Not a posh venue but very cosy and down to earth.

Very enjoyable meal here , everything hot and freshly cooked , service just a bit slow but then it is worth the wait , its all you can eat from there menu, and portions are very generous , especially enjoyed the starters to share , and there Tempura prawns and butterfly prawns are the best ive ever had . Staff are very polite but very busy at certain times and there only seemed to be one waitress on when we visited , and she worked tirelessly to do her job . Well worth a visit if in this area .

Excellent food and genuinely friendly service. Came here because of good tripadvisor reviews and they're right. A little venue with scope for some redecoration, but none of that matters to me. I really enjoyed the meal and will come back if i'm in the area again.

Visited here first time with friends and was very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is small and cosy and has more of a cafe-type of interior-the staff are from various countries and we found them all to be delightful. The food is excellent-all freshly cooked to order and you can virtually order as much as you like for one price. Excellent value. It does get very busy here so booking is a must. More of a casual laid-back eating place than a posh restaurant -but well worth a visit.

We went here today for the all you can eat. The price was very reasonable and even the drinks were priced well. Staff were much more friendly than I've experienced in other similar establishments. We really enjoyed the verity of food available. Just don't let the appearance of the place put you off as it's purely cosmetic and could do with a lick of paint, they still have a 5* hygiene rating tho! Lovely food, lovely staff. Highly recommend and will most certainly be returning

Please do not listen to the good reviews this is so awful we could not eat. The duck was ok but everything else was inedible.We felt quite ill after trying it.

I have been visiting them regularly (at least once a month)since they established 5 years ago, and its about time I left them a review. I have tried almost all Chinese takeaways in and around Farnborough/ Aldershot and have found myself coming back time and again to Yumi Yumi. I must admit I have had an or two occasions in the five years where there was a reason to complain, otherwise they are the best in the area and possibly miles around for taste of food, quality of food, service and the price, very reasonable (you get almost twice the qty compared to almost everyone else, £10.00 takes you a long way here). Also an important point to mention reg. their buffet service, it really isn't a buffet... you order your food from a large menu and it gets delivered to your table prepared fresh and piping hot... If you were ever disappointed I would urge you to give them another shot... they are worth it. And I would like to end this review by thanking them for the service I have received till date and will continue to receive in the future.

4 of us ate here for a birthday celebration. Although the restaurant is small, it has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The food is good and you can eat as much as you like. There is plenty of parking in the street outside. Would definitely go there again

We have just visited yumi yumi for tge first time and i can not believe we have not been before. We had the eat as much as you like menu and the choice of dishes are fab. Our 10 year old son loved every mouthful, we left asking for a take away menu for when we fancy a chinese at home and will be back to eat in very soon. Thank you to all the staff for a great night out and we really could not ask for better.

Very small restaurant look like family dining room feel comfortable and relax. Delicious food 100% nice flavours, excellent service and friendly staff and reasonable price £15 eat as mush as you like menu, we can taste different kind of food and seafood dishes as well.

We had the crab and sweetcorn soup which was fine. The crispy squid was actually soft batter, saturated in oil. The black bean main dish and spicy schechuan dishes seem to have the same base - they were both very gloopy which wasn't pleasant. The spicy schechuan dish was very sweet too so was more like a sweet and sour dish. Not nice

This must be one of the worst takeaways that I've had. Picking it up from the restaurant I was really looking forward to the food as the small restaurant was packed and buzzing - but so disappointed. The spring rolls were horrible, crispy beef was like bits of tough rubber, sweet and sour was chewy chunks of chicken, nassi goreng was just brown rice and the red thai curry like no other curry I have ever seen. Only the prawn crackers were any good. Maybe it is better if you eat in, but don't bother with a takeaway.

we attended the Yumi Yumi the other evening. We were greeted and made to feel very welcome. The food was outstanding, beautifully cooked and delicious to eat. Our servers were friendly, polite and very attentive. We had a wonderful evening out and will be returning again soon. Thank you to the staff who made our evening such a delightful one.

We had a wonderful Birthday meal here on Saturday and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The food was as gorgeous as it always is and the lovely owner catered very well for me in particular as I have an allergy with eggs. She arranged for both my Hot n Sour soup & my Special Fried rice to be specially made along with satisfying my love of heat with extra spicy chilli dishes. Just gorgous! The only thing missing from this place is air conditioning but the food makes up for that. See you again soon.

Just got back from a birthday meal for my sister and brother. First time here but so not the last. The staff are so friendly and helpful, food is cooked to order and delicious. Most chinese buffets have food in warming dishes so this was a real treat. Every dish ordered was delicious.Big thumbs up from us - we will be coming back

Been coming here for years and always a winner. 12 of us visited for a family birthday celebration, most making a 50 mile round trip but worth it. Lots of delicious food, well cooked and in good time. They also took special care to keep vegetarian items separate for the veggies in our party. Can't believe anyone could find fault here - it's not a high end, high price place but what they do, they do really well at a price you couldn't beat.

This is a quality Chinese restaurant. It is not your typical all you can eat buffet, the food is cooked to order and bought out in decent portion sizes, making you want more!The menu has plenty of choice (although not too much) and the staff that work there are friendly and attentive to your needs!It is advised to book as there are about 5-7 tables in the restaurant itself. It could probably do with an internal makeover in terms of decor, however, that's just me being fussy! Can't wait for our next visit

I have been here around 6 times now, all with a mixture of groups from 2 people to 12 and every time the service is fantastic and the food is amazing! Would highly recommend. I would suggest booking beforehand though as there have been a few times we've been turned away due to being fully booked, so book in advance to avoid disappointment :)

I went once again for my birthday meal to Yumi Yumi. So if you love Chinese head for Yumi Yumi all you can eat for £15. The interior looks a bit run down when you first walk in but friendly staff and freshly cooked food soon make up for that

Order from the menu, cooked to order so it was lovely - fresh, hot and nicely served. This was our first visit (thanks to other reviewers!) and we will certainly be back. Charming staff, good service and smashing food. Not expensive, good value and despite there being a party of 9 at the same time, we were attended to with just as much attention as we needed. Really quaint little restaurant, which we liked. Roll on next visit!

The décor is decidedly run down but the restaurant seems clean.If you plan on eating a good deal the buffet scores 4. If not then a 3.

Just had a cheeky Sunday night meal at this restaurant. Excellent value for money - order as much as you like off of the menu for £11 per adult. Food was really nice and I didn't feel like it was 'cheap' food as you can in certain Chinese buffets. Waiter was nice and friendly and even encouraged us to order more starters! We have been to this restaurant many times before and it is where we always get our take aways from.The food was great, we didn't order over the odds like most people do but after every course we were asked if we wanted to order more.Good service and food as always.

Having lived in China for the best part of a decade I was surprised to find this 'Chinese' restaurant had a menu of dishes I could not recognise as being Chinese. The quality was also very poor and reminded me of the microwave Chinese meals you get in supermarkets. We paid £11 each for the 'all you can eat' menu and left after only 4 dishes. The Nepalese owners took the dishes away before we could finish them, but I wouldn't have finished them anyway! The area is very run down and as the dining area is very small you have to put up with the racist and generally ignorant conversation of the other patrons.

My son found this quirky restaurant while we were working at Farnborough Air Show. It has a very unpretentious front and an even less pretentious interior. Probably one of the smallest Chinese restaurants I have been but the welcome far exceeded any expectations! It was advertised as "All you can eat" so we were looking for the buffet but this was different. The lovely waitress soon took our orders for starters and stressed that we should order whatever we wanted on the menu, it is all included and we should fill ourselves! A platter of starters, 4 mains - then another 3 mains! We were filled! All the time the staff were encouraging us to order more and were so friendly about it! This was such a good meal and all for £15-16 each! So good that I took 3 other staff the following week... They were even more friendly, wanting all our names and making us feel even more at home! I highly recommend Yumi Yumi for their fresh tasty food but even more so for the experience of their amazing service!

Very friendly, nice atmosphere & tasty food. It is not a standard buffet, but a 'all you can eat' which means that you can keep trying dishes & staff are very friendly.

I decided to try this restaurant as the reviews seemed excellent. Very please I did, staff lovely, and very attentive. Delicious food and excellent value.
