I did my baby girl’s first Birthday in Palace .. The party was 5 star event .. Food was very good and fresh .. and the service was 5 stars

Fantastic experience at The Palace Restaurant! The food was delicious, with a great variety of authentic flavors that really stood out. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant itself is clean and has a lovely, cozy decor, perfect for any occasion. Highly recommend if you’re in Aldershot and looking for quality meal with excellent service!

Had my daughter's weaning ceremony. It was fantastic. Everything was done as we were told it would be. So if u have any occasion to celebrate, book ur place @ The Palace

Delicious food and good customer service

I ordered a catering during weekend and food items were good but to my surprise on pork curry i literally found a piece of plastic!! It is completely unacceptable negligence, a kid could have swallowed it and god knows what would have happened there. Also, part of our catering menu deal, we supposed to get a salad as well but they forgot to include it and asked me to come and pick it up while i was busy with the guests. I never wanted to review this so i messaged them personally but was completely ignored. I felt like food hygiene and customer service are not something they cared in my case.

We hired the team to cater for over 150 guest party and we are quite pleased with the food and service overall. Both the starters and the mains had authentic Nepali food taste and the feedback from our family members and guest was excellent! The catering and bar staff were brilliant and proactive with serving the food on time. The manager who we dealt with was professional and accommodating. In terms of areas for improvement, the management team to be mindful of sending bar staff to the venue on time as we served drinks ourselves for some guests. Also we suggest providing enough dessert plates especially during birthday occasions when there will be cakes for desserts. The party was held elsewhere so cannot comment on the atmosphere. Regardless, we give 5 ⭐️

The pints at £4.50 were below par with 25% froth.

This place is not good to party its a scam they took my £20 and they take me out when i was going towards toilet . I knw we nepali go there because it is organised by nepali but they still treat us unfair i want my refund and to all my nepali bhai, baini and dai haru be wish don’t go this place is scam . It’s always easy to remember your worst Indian restaurant, you’re second worst not-so-much. Well for me that’s no longer the case!* I dined here once as a late(ish) walk-in and was seated immediately as I was the only customer. I had my doubts, but once more I thought I’d stick it out. I ordered the Kadhai Chicken which was bland and very-very oily with rice. It was so grim I didn’t get close to finishing it. I ordered a drink at ~9:15 to be told the restaurant would be closing at 9:30 (seemingly rather strictly) contrary to what was posted on the outside of the building (10:00pm). Anyway, no matter, I laboured on with what food I could, drank-up was gone before closing. So yeah, I’m not going back or recommending it. *If you want to know what the worst was check out Juboraj Cardiff from 2018 (which now appears to have closed (unsurprisingly)).

hello future palace goers, i have recently had the opportunity to make my way down to the palace and try some of their delicacies and boy oh boy were they lovely. The service there was impeccable, our server 'Miraj' was a delight and such a well presented man. Thank you palace owners and I hope to have another visit soon (hopefully for the nightclub this time ;) )

Didn't have a good experience at all. My family and I didn't feel welcomed at all, the waitress looked like she couldn't be bothered to serve us and we weren't impressed by her chewing gum and speaking to us (didn't seem professional). She was hung up on her phone and her facial expression showed some sort of annoyance - not very friendly. Being a Nepalese myself, I was not impressed with the food. The chickpeas on the samosa chat didn't have much flavour or salt, the momo had too much masala and was not worth it, and the pork meat was too spicy to taste the flavours. The sukuti chatpate, which is a classic meal to order was alright - nothing to be impressed with. The sweet and mango lassi were the only highlight for me as they were really good and refreshing. There isn't much ventilation as well and it became very hot and humid up there too. I personally wouldn't come here again.

Began with an empty room with no people, the service was slow spent 3hr for lunch because it took a long time even though there was barley anyone in the establishment. The food was just the most mediocre Nepalese I’ve tasted. The rice had the texture that was hard to swallow and the dal here has onions mixed in. Altogether here the 3 stars really mean that their were ok for being edible and nothing disastrous. Will to not come back here again just cause the service was too slow compared to mallingo ( a min walk) - mallingo had my order ready in 10mins ( I went there right after and have to say it was better there)

Venue was good. Nice decor and friendly staff. The food was OK. Starter was good but main course curry was bit hard (meat). Kids struggled to rip meat from bones. Needs to be a lot softer IMO.

A superb party location fit for all our bouncy castles and soft play!

After spending some time in Scotland, my girlfriend and I decided to take a journey to some of England's largest towns. We spent the night in Aldershot on our trip to Portsmouth. We were pleasantly surprised by the great cuisine, which brought back memories of my childhood. We planned to spend another day in Aldershot because the food was so good. We only had four meals there, which we wished might have been more. The restaurant's owner was also a wonderful person. Every time we were there, he came up to us and inquired on the food quality and taste. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I've dined in some of Scotland's and England's most opulent Indian restaurants. However, this was the best Indian food I've ever tasted in the United Kingdom. I'm hoping to visit there soon for the food. Thanks.

The outside of the building doesn't give away the secrets of the beautiful architecture and moulding of the inside which is stunning. The staff are quiet, polite and helpful and the food we were served was delicious.

Waiters good service from kitchen rubbish there where three of us one meal would turn up the a while later another came and so on not very good

Five of us dropped in (mid Covid restrictions) during a cycle weekend. We didn't have high expectations but wanted somewhere open and taking bookings. Initial impressions were middling - a menu of mixed Chinese and Indian dishes offered by a Gurkha team looked a bit stretched. We were immensely impressed with what emerged. All the food was well- prepared and good quality. On a previous trip we had been to Johney Gurkha, which is always top-placed in Aldershot. The Palace food was equally good and the space and style is a lot better. This place deserves more custom!

❤ Thank you so much to the lovely Chef, the food was amazing, we have been to many Indian and Nepalese restaurants.. And we can say this is our favourite restaurant. We love the steamed mono dumplings and there were ten lovely momos for £5! Compared to Momo House back in Wembley which used to be our fave, the price is better here, portions are excellent, along with the food. Although we love the tandoori mixed grill, we are happy and prefer the tandoori chicken as there was more meat and thank you for giving us the best parts, the legs and thighs! The Palace is beautiful, can't wait to come next week with my mum. The fried wings were amazing much better than lollypop chicken which was our fave back in wembley at Mumbai Junction. Yes our fave butter chicken and lamb korma are not Nepalese dishes but I found an alternative the usual chicken tikka masala and the lamb creamy gosht goes great with plain basmati. Wow the butter naan was perfect my dad kept remarking how tasty the bread was, big fluffy and soft. Of course chicken chow mein was just heavenly I want to order two of each next time! Can't wait to come back next week with my family again, thank you so much to the beautiful sweet waitress you were very nice and the service was great. 🙏🏼

Great Nepalese restaurant in Aldershot . Converted from the old Palace cinema . The main hall is used for weddings but on the top floor they have a small restaurant open to the public . The food is delicious we have been multiple times and not once have we had a bad meal . The staff are so friendly and welcoming . The menu is varied and very well priced . Being small the restaurant can fill up quickly in peak times so maybe best to call and reserve a table if your looking to go Friday or Saturday evening for dinner . Highly recommend the deep fried prawns ! Not for the faint hearted . Lots of spice and flavour with all the dishes . Thank you The Palace

The food was very good. Thai was large. The venue was interesting and large. Think it was an ex theatre. Bit slow and indifferent service but recommend it.

Had a lamb madras was tough as old boots, first time here and will be the last couldn't get in to Johnny gurkas so thought I would try the Palace and to be fair we were a table of 7 ut had to wait so long for our food. So won't be going again

Paid a visit to the restaurant Thursday evening outstanding food. Customer service was disgraceful she did not have time to come off her phone to speak to us. Next time maybe take away would be a better option.

Situated in the old Palace Cinema. Restored, Grade 2 listed building. Very good, reasonably priced food, comprehensive choice and excellent service. Highly recommended

I loved everything about this place. We got a takeaway after hearing about it from a friend. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They had a big party in so we had a bit of a wait but that wasn't a problem. They offered us a drink on the house while we waited. There aren't many decent Indians around our area and the one we loved closed down so finding this place has been a god send. The food is even better than described. A MUST to visit either eating in or takeaway. This place is perfection.

we have eaten curries all over the uk for many years now, withour doubt, the food served last night was the worst we have ever eaten. The starters were inedible, the main courses, bland, tasteless with very small potions, which to be honest, was just as well. The two ladies that served us were very pleasant and the venue, not quite up to the web site pictures.

Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Everything was well organised for our small party of 30 people. Food we chose were hot and good. Not amazing but alright for a party. Rice was undercooked otherwise would had been a 5*.

Not only a Great Venue but the restaurant upstairs is open for customers like me who loves Nepalese food .Highly recommend Travelled all the way from Harrow London for the delicious food.

I hired this venue for a "Do". The venue is spectacular inside, especially so when you see where it is in Aldershot's rather run down town centre. Inside the décor is all gold and white with many of the Victorian features very much in tact. I had the entire restaurant area which I wasn't expecting, having thought I'd reserved one of the smaller function rooms. It has the same décor in the restaurant which was originally a balcony that overlooks the main area. The Glass panelling keeps it private but still light and in keeping with the rest of the interior. I had arranged for a Nepali Buffet which was nice, there was plenty of it (which was good as a few more people turned up than I expected) and was wolfed down by my guests. I would definitely recommend the venue and the restaurant for something a little different and unexpected. I'll be eating there again for sure.

You review is actually very sad. I visited this restaurant with my family on a Saturday night. The restaurant was empty. We were the only People sitting at a table, as a few were sitting drinking. The food was fantastic. Freshly cooked and so tasty. I will definitely come back again when in this part of the country. Please come and make it a success. Too many restaurants succeed by bring mediocre. Do yourself a favour.

We looked this place up a see all good reviews. It is so quirky because the restaurant is upstairs looking down on the old dance floor from cheeks night club. The decoration is amazing too. The service and the food were so nice. I will defiantly be coming back. We got complimentary poppadom with two nice dips. The main curry was prawns and they were so nice and fresh. The onion bhaji were lovely too. I would highly recommended this restaurant. The staff were excellent too.

We went to the palace for the first time and the food was lovely very friendly service we received from entering the door the price of the food for the quality is excellent the popodoms are complimentary this is very rare in a lot of restaurants now the menu was decent also my only flaw not that it's a big one is I found the plates very small to accommodate the food and there is no knife given to you but over all the palace is lovely and I would higlhy recommend the food the onion bhaji are to die for and you get 6 of them the food was very fresh and you get a nice size meal and the rice was one of the best I ever had all was piping hot

The palace by far in one of my favourite place to dine in the area. The best and most flavoursome dish I prefer to order is the pork jhir. The dishes that are served is a combination of Nepalese and Indian food. The staff are all polite and extremely warm. The bartender that served us was very spirited and had amazing banter. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves to explore a different side to South asain dishes.

Just incredible food! I have been comming to this resturant for the last 2 years and have never been dissapointed, the staff are extremly plesent and the service is fast. The nepalese food is just to die for. Highly recomended.

Went there for the first time with some work friends , the food was delicious, had a mixture of things. The pork jhir was unbelievable 👌🏽 I definitely recomend going there for traditional Nepalese food. I will definitely be returning to The Palace.

Went for birthday gathering 13 guest all together for first time and food was delicious service was great Starter to main meal 10out of 10 Pork jhir and biryani mind blowing N i would really recommend all to try out peswani naan(wont regret it) I would prefer more pork dishes

Been waiting for a proper Nepalese / indian to open for a long time now. We saw the venue get transformed over 18 months but i think everyone in the town is just blown away by the food & service. 10 out of 10 for me !

Excellent food great service, been going there for few months. Authentic Indian cuisine, fresh ingredients taste so much nicer. I understand the Chef is Nepalese who is good at preparing North Indian cuisine. Good selection for vegetarians, service is superb.
