Revisited this time with our 2 trusted and well trained food-ids. Previous review of 4* stands (from Nov 23). Location was convenient (as passing by/through) and again needing to fill the bellies up after a longish day out. Pan Pan successfully managed to just curb the Pan-Asian craving.

Lovely place selling freshly cooked to order Thai food. Great service, great food & great vibe. We eat there regularly and the food & service is always top notch

Exceptional meal and service. Can’t believe we only found this little gem on our daughter’s last day at university. We will definitely be back as it is well worth the trip from Cornwall.

Great food, great atmosphere, as a solo dinner I felt very relaxed and welcome. The food was fantastic, so had K.F.C and Beef Pho washed down with a tasty Bubble Tea, highly recommend this place!!

Popped in for Monday lunch and will definitely be coming back! We ordered 5 street food dishes between the 2 of us (KFC, vegetable crispy dump, spring rolls, seafood pajeon pancake, and hoisin duck bao) and they were all excellent and just the right amount of food. The servers were lovely, and very helpful with recommending how many dishes we should get to share. Highly recommend!

Pan Pan never seems to fail us when we visit the restaurant! When we have a free night Pan Pan is our go to location as the food never disappoints and the service is always polite and attentive. We haven't been for a while but it was great to see the prices haven't jumped up and still deliver good food at reasonable prices! And the frozen beer glasses take you away to past holidays in east Asia sipping a cold beer!!

The best street food I've ever had- a great choice of the favourite dishes you already know and ones you really should try. Excellent service, very friendly place, very good value all round.

Delicious, everything is delicious. Try everything! Great place to have lots of little sharing dishes. Roti canai is great, with a bit of a chilli hit in the dipping sauce. Loads of choice, difficult to narrow it down to a few dishes.

Conveniently on St Clements if avoiding the centre and driving/passing through Oxford. There is parking nearby. Grab a fix of Asian fusion options here. Menu is enough just for that, simple and not too complicated for the kitchen. Not really imo authentic tastes but will do to curb a craving. Korean fried chicken is our fave. Hainan rice is white rice, not seasoned. Bubble Tea is a drink that you add and pay extra for the tapioca bubbles. Japchae with beef also lovely. Don’t recommend the Thai green curry or spring rolls personally.

If you’re ever in Oxford fancying some Asian food, I highly recommend Pan Pan - a fab little independent restaurant. Popped in for lunch for the first time today with my husband and ordered kun mandu (pork dumplings), chicken laksa and chicken thai green curry…they did not disappoint! The dumplings were plump and juicy, the green curry was fragrant and the laksa packed on helluva flavour punch with perfectly cooked chicken. Thank you Pan Pan, we will be back!

Lovely meal - we shared a few starters and mains. Prawn and leek dumplings were crispy and light. Grilled aubergine was perfect and the Malaysian yellow curry was delicious. Wine was lovely. Service was very attentive and friendly. Lovely birthday surprise pudding too. Thank you Pan Pan for a really delicious meal and lovely atmosphere.

Going to recommend to everybody and can’t wait to go back. We ordered half the starters on the menu and I can’t complain about a single thing. Faves - hoisin duck bao, prawn katsu and tobboki Absolutely recommend!

I had my lunch which was Indonesian Satay with beef and Oolong tea. The food was excellent, exactly original Indonesian taste brought in a big portion together with a bowl of steam rice and a very fresh and tasty salad. Prices rather small according to the quality and quantityof food and great service 10+for the Chef. The server , Julia was extremely kind, helpful, professional, smiling all the time. 10+ Inside is a nice music , not very loud, but exactly how it should be in a small cozy Asian food place. Very peaceful and relaxing. However, it was the first time when I came to eat in this place. I walked inside, but I walked outside immediately to check the Korean pub on the opposite side of the road. Why? Because Pan Pan it doesn't look so great decorated from outside and I didn't trust it so much. I ve lived in Thailand and traveled in whole indochina for 20 years. I wanted an authentic taste of Asian food. So, I came back 3 min later because the other Korean pub was closed, so I didn't have a choice. And I didn't regret any second ! I felt absolutely great in Pan Pan! I recommend from whole my heart 💯 ❤❤❤❤❤ I ll come back at Pan Pan for sure. We booked the restaurant for our sons graduation meal - his choice. We were a group of seven family members traveling in from London, Belgium, Essex and the Midlands. We were met with a warm welcome and shown to our table. Not all of our group arrived together, so we ordered drinks and waited the arrival of the rest of the family. The staff waited patiently until all had arrived, a drink had been had and then they approached for our orders. We ordered crispy calamari, sticky ribs. Kimchee, spring rolls, chicken Laksa, chicken Pad Thai, chicken Pho, and many more dishes. The food arrived about 15-30 minutes later which in our opinion was a perfect period of time. The food was hot, very tasty and our only disappointment was we were too full to eat it all. The bill was very reasonable and we will return.

So disappointed with the food. Ordered the Tebboki which was a very odd texture and not as I expected. I could forgive this though, but it got worse. They had a separate vegan menu which I was very excited about. I ordered the vegan pad Thai. My friend ordered the non vegan one. When they brought it to the table we double checked and I was told I had the vegan one. I started eating and discovered egg in it. They had mixed them up. They apologised and remade them but I was very upset. It is just not ok, especially with a separate vegan menu. It was not that flavoursome, a good pad Thai is so delicious, but not this one. I left half and asked to take it away with me. The waiter lifted the plate onto a tray and then used his hands to flick a loose noodle onto the plate, disgusting. Did I take it home with me. No. Will I return. No.

The food was delicious, loads of choice. Waiters both relaxed and very efficient. Service was fast! We’d definitely return.

A lovely place for a casual dinner: the restaurant is small and I recommend booking ahead of time, but the food is amazing. I had the laksa and can definitely recommend it. A great range of dishes are on the menu, good value for money.

Pan Pan is indeed on the snug side, and the interior must be described as basic; the demographic was overwhelmingly youthful (so a bit intimidating for us oldies) BUT the food is mind-blowingly excellent - fresh, intense flavours, beautifully cooked elements superbly put together so that each mouthful was a blissful experience to be savoured. Am definitely going back for my birthday - they do have seating upstairs where there's a bit more space. And very reasonable prices.

The food was outstanding but the service was below par. We had to ask for our drinks 3 times, we had to cancel my son’s food order because it didn’t arrive in time and he also was served the wrong drink. Other gusts had similar issues on the night we were there. Such a shame because the food and venue are both outstanding.

Called in on a Wednesday night as it looked nice and warm inside. Very friendly staff and a cosy restaurant. Food was great we had boa buns as a starter. My missus had hoi nam for main which was a good size portion and i had Malaysian style duck curry (which was very warming on a cold wet November evening). Prices were good, just over £40 with drinks. Will call back next time in Oxford.

I've recently visited and been back twice already(!), including for my birthday. I've been with both friends and as a couple and enjoyed both experiences. The curry laksa was great, the Pan Pan wings were amazing, the dessert cinnamon bao with black sesame ice cream was exceptional. The bubble tea was lovely, especially the brown sugar tea. Can't wait to go back again.

Pedimos una variedad de platos a través de una aplicación de entrega, y lamento decir que nos decepcionó cada uno. La comida era mediocre, sin verduras frescas ni especias delicadas. Demasiada azúcar en el pad Thai, y el laksa sabía más a un tazón de salsa de curry con patatas fritas que al caldo ligero y refrescante que uno espera.

Il ristorante ha Tanti tavoli, ma molto vicini l'uni all'altro. Piatti n9n molto elaborati ma buoni. Il menu offre un po'di tutto della cucina asiatica. Malgrado abbiamo tutti I tavoli occupati, sono veloci come il vento nel servizio.

We come here regularly for lunch or dinner when we’re in Oxford, as there is really no Asian restaurant quite like it in the area. The food is fresh and delicious. The food can take some time to come out, but I think that is testament to the care that is taken to prepare each meal. Nothing is simply heated up and slopped on a plate - every dish feels truly special. A must try - it’s worth the walk to St Clements!!

My son and his girlfriend took my wife and I to Pan Pan last Saturday evening promising us we would have a great evening, they were true to their word. A small restaurant in a trendy area out of the centre of Oxford there is a really nice feel to this place. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us during our stay, however its the food that makes this restaurant stand out. We chose the selection of small dishes, loads to select from, all very very tasteful, especially my favourite the Calamari. I could have stayed there all night and just kept picking more and more dishes but of course you can't do that! The Hendrix was served just as we like, not something places always get right. This really is a gem, the food is excetionally tasty, the staff friendly and attentive, if you give Pan Pan a try I am sure you will love it as we did.

Punch line is - Calvin was awesome. I’ve been there like 6 times now. The food is god dammed bloody bleeding delicious, and I know my pan-Asian tapas street food, trust me, I like pan-Asian tapas street food. The satay? TO DIE FOR! The pan pan wings/ Thai sticky wings? FLEW ME TO HEAVEN! The calamari? HAD ME SWIMMING! And apparently the vegan food was really good as well, but my friend is a vegan so not sure how far I trust her judgement. Side note: it was Calvin’s SECOND shift and he bloody nailed it, he was the nicest dude and very attentive, somehow always there when we needed him. My guy. Pepe out.

PanPan is one of my all time favourite restaurants. I’ve been eating here (both eat in and takeaway) for a long time now and every single time, the quality and flavours of the food are 100% perfect. The staff are lovely and it’s a really cool chill environment, I’d recommend PanPan to anyone (especially the Crispy Dumplings, Pho, and Seaweed Salad)!!!! <3

Can't speak highly enough of the staff or food. We were a big group but it didn't faze the staff who were great as was the food. Would highly recommend to anyone whether in a group or a cosy twosome.

This place is consistently serving sensational food at a good price. It's a one off, so no slick protocols of chain restaurants, just friendly kind staff. The laksa is my favourite, seaweed salad and somethings I can't remember the names of. The food is fresh, delicious and hearty. Fragrant combinations that make my tummy happy.

Cannot be faulted - the lunch menu is both great value and super delicious. Sat downstairs as was fairly quiet, although there is also an upstairs. Portions were a good size. Highly recommend the Sweet and sour chicken and springrolls. At £24 for a lunch for 2, it's a great student lunch spot!

We had an excellent meal at Pan Pan. The small restaurant offered a great atmosphere with good service. I had a duck pho, which was sensational, with really amazing flavours, good quality duck and lots of it too.

We had booked to go here on a Saturday evening but walked along in the early afternoon to see if we could change the booking. In the event we were the only people there. The menu was impressive with dishes from various countries and we chose a selection around the table. All were expertly cooked and delicious, but were let down slightly by the basic tin dishes and plates they were served on. This might be something of the ambiance of the place but having been to Korea, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and Cambodia I am not sure it was typical of those countries.

Met up with some friends for lunch. Roti canai was freahly cooked with a deliciously piquant dipping sauce as good as I have had in Malaysia. The Laksa was also spicy, fragrant, fresh and delicious. A tasty broth with just the right amount of kick to it but not overpowering. Light noodles, fresh vegetables cooked well and melt in the mouth chicken. Friendly service. We planned a return visit half way through the main course!

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening at Pan Pan with some old friends. We meet up regularly but decided to try this, a first for all of us. I had booked we were a little early but the staff were very accommodating and efficient. Starters were great and we enjoyed our mains also. Our friends are both veggie and both had a tofu dish with and egg in the top. One friend commented that some of the dish the mushrooms in particular were cold but as we did not know the dish perhaps that was how it was meant to be served. My husband enjoyed his Thai duck dish immensely and I enjoyed my prawns. The beer was on tap and good, service was very efficient and the food good value for money. My husband said we should certainly like to try it again. The ambiance was lively, lots of young people having a good time. So happy to see a success of the premises after the loss of the pink giraffe!

The best asian restaurant in Oxford!!

We arrived on a Saturday evening for a pre booked dinner. We were seated, and then the wait started, waiting 20 minutes to see a drinks menu, then waiting again to order drinks. we ordered food before the drinks came, then got through our drinks before starters had even arrived, called over a server for another round then our food and drinks came together. we ate and the food was excellent. the yakitori was very very good. we finally had our plates taken and then yet another long wait and another drink gone. while we were waiting a server finally said 'oh do you want your mains?' then more of a wait we received our dishes and they were far better then I had thought they would be and everyone was pleased with the food. When we finally finished a two course dinner had taken two and a quarter hours, which even for a Saturday is ridiculous. I always leave a tip but couldn't bring myself to do it. as we left there was sarcastic good byes and thank yous. Food was fantastic the service was amateur and really needs to be improved

We had a delicious Pho, pork and shrimp dumplings and deep fried prawns, as well as roti with curry sauce. Really delicious but the cherry on top was the dessert - coconut and cinnamon bao and mango cheesecake - sooo good. Enjoy for a casual weeknight dinner!

We were craving Bao Buns so visited Pan Pan last night whilst staying in Oxford.

Pan Pan calles itself a place of asian street food. One can choose to share different options from the starters menu or go for a bigger main dish. I went for Pho with beef which was not marked as spicy, but for me it was since I have little tollerance to spicy food, so I would prefer them to put a bit spicy singh. A friend had a main with the first level of spiciness, but it was very spicy for her (even she is big fan of spicy food). They have some choise of asian beers, but no cider. The staff was friendly, but was talking in Polish way too loud. The dessert 'cinnamon bun with ice cream' was OK. A nice place to try, but is not my favourite.

Nice food, great service, comfortable place and atmosphere. Laksa is very good. Must try. The location is good as its near the city center across the river.

Came here for Valentine's day dinner for first time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much.

We visited on a Saturday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the authentic cooking, something a bit different and we would love to go back to explore other menu items. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was busy, with a fun atmosphere. The chairs were a little on the small side and we were sat right next to the busy kitchen door but those would be my only negatives. The food was delicious and plentiful. Happy to recommend.

Visited tonight with family and I must say it’s my new favourite place in the whole “Cowley roadfish” area!

I was visiting a friend in Oxford and we decided to eat at Pan Pan as we both like Vietnamese and this was an asian fusion style restaurant. The KFC chicken bites for starters and the spring rolls were delicious. My duck in plum sauce with rice was good and my friend seemed to enjoy what she had ordered. The chenin blanc wine we ordered was a bit thin and not sharp enough for my taste. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the service was quick and pleasant. We didn't order dessert as there was nothing we fancied on the menu. For two starters, two mains, and a bottle of wine it came to £55 which we thought was good value for money.

Really glad to see a whole vegan menu here!! Enjoyed the food, atmisphere and well priced. Will visit again!!

We visited on 3rd Jan for lunch. We had excellent food from the very reasonably priced lunch menu. Our server was lovely and friendly. The restaurant and toilets were lovely and clean. We will go back

We tried pan Pan for the first time ever and were very happy with both the quality and quantity. The pork buns are nicely filled and the buns are really soft. We tried the yaki noodles and rice with crispy chicken and both were delicious.

I eat out a lot in Oxford, and this hands down is my favourite. Food is tip top.

Visited on a Saturday night when it was quite busy. We were seated in the cosy upstairs area which had lovely modern decor. Despite us being upstairs, the service was very quick and attentive. Prices for drinks and food were more than reasonable and much cheaper than similar places in Oxford.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is always amazing and service is great. I especially like that they have kirin beer on tap. Worth the little walk from the city centre to eat here. Very good value for money and very tasty food!

Did a walk in on a Tuesday evening without booking, we got one of the last tables, this was a good sign. The number of Deliveroo drivers coming and going was also good.

Was searching for a nearby korean / asian restaurant for hot food when we decided to visit this resto. I love the ambiance of the place. The asian waiter/ girl was quite nice and friendly. We had crispy calamari and I also had Curry laksa. My friend had roast duck and rice. The calamari was great and the laksa was perfect for me, my friend liked his toast duck and rice. We were there for sometime when there were a couple of slightly drunk guy who came in and wanted to have some more drinks but i liked the way the manager? was able to handle them. We would definitely come back to this resto if we are in Oxford again

I've tried the big pan-asian restuarants in Oxford (Thaikhun, Banana Tree, Chiang Mai) but they are nowhere near as good as this gem of a little place in St Clements. Recommend: starters of chicken satay (spicy satay sauce to die for!) then prawn green thai curry - with lovely bits of courgette and aubergine lurking in the creamy, hot but fresh green sauce. PLUS decent sized king prawns, not soggy barely defrosted prawns I had in Thiakhun just days before. My hubbie had curry beef laksa for main and declared it the best thing ever!
