Beef Ho fun and spring rolls takeaway £20. I have eaten here numerous times and it is usually worth the expense. However on this occasion… spring rolls came in a sealed plastic box so following a 5 min walk home they where no longer crispy, rather flaccid, also no filling in some just case. Ho fun had no flavour and not seasoned. Overall depressing.

After traveling for 14 hours we arrived at Oxford after 9 pm and looked for food. After walking a few blocks most of the restaurants had already closed their kitchen. But Zheng restaurants kitchen was open until 10 pm. We ordered the fried rice, Singapore noodles, dumplings, spring rolls, and beef tandang . All of the food was excellent and the beef randang was out of this world. Not only was the food delicious but the staff were friendly. Its reputation oils well deserved

Really good pan-Asian food. Also catered for vegetarian, shellfish, and gluten free. The service staff reassuringly confirmed which dishes contained allergens when they were brought to the table, and there was no problem there. The restaurant is open only a couple of hours at lunch and staff did seem rushed, I imagine the evening would be more relaxed

Pretty good food, nice friendly service, a bit pricey. Dumplings were excellent, though only a limited selection. Satay skewers and crispy duck were good (though 6 pancakes is a bit stingy, and extra pancakes were charged £2.50). Rendang Beef was really nice and tender, spicy and tasty, could have been more coconutty.

I ordered the duck with a side of coconut rice. It was the driest and most unappetising duck I ever eaten. Such a shame as it was expensive, especially as ordered through Deliveroo where there was an additional £5 on the cost of the meal for one. Perhaps if eaten at the restaurant it may have been more palatable but this was so disappointing. I won’t eat from there again.

Everything was really good. Had the Starter sharing place (for 2 persons). Worth every penny. The portions of the main are quite generous so you won't leave hungry. Only criticism I have would be about the Nasi Lemak. The chicken and the sauce were fantastic - but I think the little fried fish / fish sauce and the boiled egg did not fit the rest of the dish. Would definitely visit again

The takeaways are small compared to the price you pay and I'm looking at the pics and the definitely give you more food when you dine in. I mean a dish cost 14-17 quid as takeaway... what is annoying is the dried chillies doesnt even get incorporated in the cooking it is more garnished... like it doesn't hit the oil doesn't add to the flavour and it's hard to stomach... I love my chillies

Very good Malaysian Chinese restaurant. Firstly there are no pork dishes, but the food is very good quality, lots of Malaysian, Singaporean, and Chinese staples are available. All are cooked well but those familiar with chinese food may find some slight differences such as the szechuan aubergine is not as savoury and without the salted fish that is common in Cantonese version. Salt and pepper squid is good, mango chicken, crispy chicken, gan ban, nasi lehmak, rendang are all good. I think the Malaysian and Singaporean dishes are better overall. The puddings are very good, the warm rice pudding was good but the sago trifle like one was very refreshing. Staff are really friendly and accommodating, they are happy to answer any questions you have. Highly recommended.

Ordered special egg fried rice which came out to around £11. Unbelievably disappointing meal. First of all, barely any egg in the in “egg fried rice,” and eggs aren’t even that expensive. The littlest strands of chicken and like three small shrimps. Literally came out to less than a handful of totally protein. On top of all of that, the rice was hard and lacked any flavor. Such a stingy experience - the least you can do is add a little more eggs and chicken. It’s not even that expensive to just be a little more generous to your customer. TLDR paid £11 for flavorless hard rice and less than a handful of protein

I’ve been here several times, so here’s a quick list of my favorites: Satay chicken skewers: the best in this store! A must order every time. Nasi lemak: It’s very rich in content, very filling, and tastes good. I can’t think of anything to order so I just ordered this. Fried Gui Diao & Fried Rice Noodles: They both taste pretty good, but they are not the type that leave a very deep memory on people. other: Crispy duck: The portion is large, but it doesn’t feel very crispy, because I imagined the crispy duck to be like Peking duck. Since I have never tasted crispy duck from other British restaurants, I can't compare.

I have been ordering food from here for years, and it was always ok, one of the only places in Oxford that came even close to proper Asian food. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone down the drain, as the last order was inedible. Why? Because Everything was swimming in oil and grease. I could not eat it! And it has gotten really expensive on top of it. Nowhere close to actual Malaysian food, and I will not order from here again after years of having been a regular customer. Very disappointed!

We came here from a bit further away as we’d understood this to be the best Chinese in oxford. That’s a big claim and I must admit it was average. Service was slow. We waited a long while on a quiet evening for drinks and no one asked if we wanted more drinks during our meal so they missed out on more money. The duck starter was good, dim sum average and the mains - sweet and sour chicken, boneless chicken and cashew (way too hot!) and mango chicken (greasy). We left disappointed unfortunately as it would’ve been great to have a new place to go to.
