Wow. Great food, quirky venue. Lamb chops were stand out, but all the food was excellent 👍🏻

Fantastic food in this place. it's off the beaten track so criminally quiet, even on a Friday night. The owners also run the pub next door, so doubly worth the effort to get there. Honestly amongst the best food I've eaten, and I'm in my fifties so have eaten a lot of meals over the years. Go visit!!

We ordered delivery multiple times from this restaurant while in Oxford, and the food hit every time. Also, delivery was fairly quick and without issues.

Many praises to the chef! Such a lovely authentik food! We all were very impressed. It took about 60 min to deliver but the waiting was so worthwhile. Great sealed packaging, just one small suggestion, please can you label the food boxes as we couldn't work out which whas which.

Honestamente el mejor curry de Oxford. Familia y personal encantadores, y la comida es fantástica. Tantas opciones si eres vegetariano o vegano, y no solo las opciones de curry habituales que se obtienen en otros lugares, en realidad armar cuidadosamente platos como Annapurna de verduras, Piro, Chow - Chow fideos, la lista es extensa y los sabores complejos y en su punto. Sinceramente no puedo recomendar lo suficiente. Ojalá pudiéramos comer aquí todos los días : )

Easily the BEST place for curry in Oxford. A wonderful family business, lovely people and the food is fantastic. Try the Chicken Choila, very very tasty with rice or naan or the Chow-Chow noodles. Honestly can't recommend highly enough!!

For the 1st time, i ordered food from delivero. It was so good, especially chicken lollipop. Worth for money, affordable and quantity wise, ok. Kema rice is really good, but lots of peas 🫛 Fried rice is good, too. Overall, i felt affordable and tasty 😋

We had an amazing meal at Everest Nepalese last night, I had never had Nepalese food before and it was absolutely delicious. We left with food to take away as a second meal it was so much. The wait staff was very friendly and hospitable.

All the team came out to ask us if we was happy and enjoying the food. Lovely costumer service and we was well looked after. Food takes a short while to come out but that’s only because it’s all made fresh so I’d recommend preparing for a nice long but comfortable leisurely visit. My only recommendation would be to give 3 somosa and 4 onion pakoras as apposed 2 Somosa sand 3 pakoras. Beautiful restaurant and the chef was even kind enough to make accommodations and edits to my dish. The restaurant had a lovely feel or warmth and comfort.

Fuimos allí para cenar y estábamos sentados afuera en nuevas mesas de madera. La calle es tranquila y sentarse afuera con buen tiempo es muy relajante. La comida era genial también. Teníamos momo vegetal y samosa de carne para empezar, himgiri y cordero del Himalaya para principal. Los lavamos con una pinta de cervezas Cobra y Gurhka. El precio es razonable también. Hay una mesa de billar dentro de la cual probamos y disfrutamos del juego. Recomiendo encarecidamente el lugar.

Good and freshly made food. We had meat samosa and veggie momo as starters and for main Himalayan lamb and himgiri. The price is reasonable too.

Popped along here when staying in Oxford for the night. Fancied a nice meal and Everest Nepalese didn't disappoint. Really friendly young waitress who was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly made. I would definitely recommend eating here to anyone who fancies a traditional and authentic Nepalese meal.

Great food at good prices! Restaurant never too busy as most of their trade seems to be Delivery. Really tasty every time we go! Bar next door but have never been in their yet! Would recommend for a great meal at good prices.

No good very bad A restaurant you should never go near

We went as a group of four as we were staying in an air B&B just down the street. It has a large space, lots of tables. Very pleasant woman was our server and took out order and brought us an appetizer. We had two orders of Honeymoon chicken which was delicious served with rice. One person had a Currie and the other had a grilled meat medley with Naan bread. The prices were reasonable. There was a constant weird noise I think from on mine take out orders as there were only three tables being used.

Recht große Location mit angrenzendem Billardraum, großer Speisesaal, hier haben richtig viele Leute Platz. Wir waren zu zweit und haben ohne Voranmeldung einen Tisch bekommen. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich, man kann sich schwer entscheiden. Aber alles lecker.

Ordered butter chicken but it tasted like dessert than the curry, and chicken was mostly cut into bits mostly looked like minced chicken. Really it was waste of money as we ended up having only sauce for paying lot of money

This restaurant is the best. The food is always very good and, on top of that, they are very kind.

I used to walk past the Everest / Donnington Arms every day on my way to and from work around 5 years ago. On a couple of occasions, I'd pop in for a pint and a game of pool (yeah, I know a restaurant with a pool table. At a time when many establishments are removing their tables leaving fewer places for cue sports addicts like myself to indulge in our habit - it was such a blessing), but had never had a takeaway from the Everest, never sat down for a meal. With my birthday approaching and friends from far and near coming to help me celebrate it, one local recommended the Everest. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The momo were delicious, the Himalayan lamb beautifully tender and the atmosphere was fantastic (although I think we brought most of that). Incredibly reasonably priced. Shall definitely be back - soon!

Won’t suggest the restaurant to any one, the atmosphere and the service is one of the worst the attitude while serving and talking is really bad and the food was smelling.

Delivery took an hour 40 from point of order. Was cold.

Ordered on Deliveroo. Naan was not authentic - was sweet and had coconut. Same the curry, despite a decent portion of prawns, the masala sauce was not authentic, had a huge and overpowering amount of sweetness and coconut bits - had to throw it away. By far the worst Indian/nepalese food I’ve eaten.

So me and my friends had visited one evening to the restaurant. We ordered one veg gravy and one lamb curry. None of the vegetables were cooked and I informed the staff.he was very rude argued and explained the cooking process as if the customers got no knowledge. We also noticed a fly in the food and the staff told that it is our fault for letting the fly sit in the restaurant. They did not apologise for their behaviour and extremely arrogant and high headedness .most horrible experience. Will make sure none of my friends visit this place . PLEASE don't GO TO THIS PLACE

Had a horrible experience at the restaurant today!!! Truly disappointed at their customer service and dishes. We were served with barely cooked vegetables curry, which seemed flavourless and to top it off the lamb curry was served with hygienic problems. The curry was served with a dead fly which completely ruined our appetite. The customer service was horrible. Apparently the waiter claimed we were the responsible ones for the fly experience. He was being rude and purely unprofessional with just focus on getting the full payment from us. I would never recommend this restaurant!!!

We have been to Everest since starting college here in Oxford. Have not faced anything bad until today, going for dinner in October 2023, we had a very horrible experience. The food was flavorless but on top of that, the vegetable curry was not properly cooked and found a fly in the non veg curry too. Upon reporting this to the staff, they blamed us for sitting for a long time and that is why flies fell into the food and that it is our responsibility!!!!! They only wanted money at the end even though we did not have half of the food. We were not happy or full with the little food we had, and they kept blaming us with horrible customer service.

I normally give Everest 5☆ but I bought a lamb starter and the meat was chewy and fatty. Not the norm as it usually not the case.

My recent dining experience at this restaurant left me deeply disappointed. Despite informing the staff about my religious dietary restrictions, I was served a dish containing meat, which goes against my vegetarian beliefs. What truly added to my frustration was the lack of any apology or acknowledgement of their mistake. The service I received was far from satisfactory; the waiter's behavior was not only unhelpful but also surprisingly rude. When we approached them to rectify the incorrect order, their responses were dismissive and inadequate. This kind of customer service is not only disappointing but also disrespectful. I strongly caution anyone seeking a positive and considerate dining experience to avoid this establishment.

We went at 8pm on a Friday night. There were only 2 tables occupied (including us). The food was disgusting. No flavour at all. I would have raised this with the waiter, but he didn't come over to check anything at all. The beer on tap tasted like vinegar... go elsewhere. Don't waste your money.

Ordered an early takeaway this evening (recommend you call them direct for a better price and service) and was so happy with the dinner :) The Himgiri Vegetables are delicious, and the mixed grill was very tasty. Big portion sizes with flavoursome sauces. Not too spicy.

I have ordered food here for my mother because she absolutely loves their food and raves about it. Don’t order with Deliveroo! Use another provider if you can. They refused to give us our wine or a refund. I wonder if they returned it to the restaurant

We ordered two meals. One of the dishes was ok, even though it didnt really contain the ingredients the menu said it should. The vegetarian dish was horrible, though. It only contained onions and paprika instead of all the vegetables listed, but everything was really really burned! The paprika and cheese were edible but extremely dry and half burned, the onions were little coal pieces at the bottom of the plate. Let's have some cancer for dinner! Thank you for that. Eating a lot of indian and nepalese I can confidently say that this was the worst nepalese/indian dish I ever had in my life.

If you want to eat a horribel meal, this is the best place to order! By far, this was the worst Indian meal I've ever ate! Half of my meal was burned, the side salad was missing and on the menu was no hint, that "normal" or "traditional" naan bread is with coconut filling. Like it wasn't enough, the naan bread was disgusting! By the way, the staff wasn't very competent.

Usually a good meal from here but yesterday lunchtime overcharged by £5 even though queried price. My madras looked and tastied the same as the vindaloo except no potato. Both curry's thin watery oily sauce. Nam doughy. Sag paneer good though. Disappointing 😞

Great food, delivered on time, but the paper bag the restaurant provided is terrible. As soon as I grabbed the bag from its handles (and because it got humid with the food) the bag just broke, making a mess on the floor. They should simply use plastic bags, or better quality paper bags.

Ordered through Uber Eats but they deliver themselves (additional 10% fee for this), food took an hour to come but it was a Friday night. Food was okay, smaller portions than we’d normally get from a takeaway. Ordered the meatballs but only got 3, which for the price felt unfair, they tasted great though just wish there were more. Chicken and lamb in the dishes was dry and the sauces were a little bland. Pilau rice was very nice. Garlic naan was a bit dry, needs some ghee on it.

we've all heard of Everest the mountain, but more people need to hear about Everest the restaurant. This place puts the mountain to shame with it's fantastic flavours and tender momos. Everyone has seen the photos of the queue at the top of the mountain (very very busy!), you won't have that problem here as there's always a quiet and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your dinner in. I loved this place so much that I went three times in a week, hope to do four in a week soon and set a new record. Amen xxxxx

I feel guilty I had no cash to tip the driver. He fulfilled a long shot request to bring a bottle opener for a beer I ordered because I was staying in a hotel and didn't have one. As always the food was amazing.
