The best restaurants serving American food in South Eastern NI

We were staying just down the road and came a couple of evenings for a drink. Tiny bar frequented by a handful of regulars, all of whom were exceptionally friendly and made us feel really welcome. Thank you Tom, Pat and Eddie for your hospitality and company. This was the highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland.

Very friendly and efficient service. Food was lovely. Accommodated us last minute after another restaurant letting us down. Definitely worth it.

I had 2 starters instead of a main (the beef brisket tacos and the arancini) because it's not everywhere that would offer these as starters The tacos were great and the beef was beautiful, the nicest beef I've had in many years and so flavourful Arancini was top notch too, lovely flavour! Overall a delicious meal

Only found this place in July have been almost every week since , the best pizza on the island of Ireland, other dishes are of top quality, staff warm , friendly & attentive, this place is a real find, I travel a lot and eat out all over the world, firebox is up there with the best, and sadly this comes to an end December 24 as it closes. I'm so ,so 😢

One of our favourite places to go, service is always good, people complain about the wait times but in my opinion if the food came out any quicker you’d be concerned! it is quite expensive but the food is worth it, it’s always full of flavour. Any mistakes in our orders have always been fixed straight away with apologies and no issues. We find that the staff are very friendly and are always polite to us!

Really nice to walk into the restaurant and get a greeting from the chefs. Good start for my first time visiting Fontana. Next was meeting a member of staff who remembered me who is lovely and an asset to the place. Now for the food! Beautifully presented fish which was light and delicious followed by scummy apple crumble. Place is nicely laid out with a good atmosphere and very efficient staff. Prices are as you would expect for such good food, wine is fairly expensive and probably a sign of the times!

Really nice pub. People were friendly and the beer is really nice

It's been completely refurbished with new slides etc. It really is a fantastic looking kids park. My 2 year old loves it, plenty of things to do.

Recently reopened as the Spice Inn, this is a lovely restaurant with fresh, authentic Indian cuisine. Really enjoyed the food, I had the honey chicken special and peshwari nan . A welcome new addition to the dining choices in Portaferry

We had such a cozy experience, such a delicious dish, with the squeaky cheese. The whole vibe of the venue was chilled and you could see the owner/chef was dedicated. Small space with good energy from employees and customers. We will definitely be back in the next year to try something new 🫶🏽

I ate at Sugar Rays recently, and it was a full-on feast fest. The place has a cool, laid-back vibe, with a buzzing atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The staff were friendly and on it, and the food came out timely and piping hot. We went for a chicken basket, chick stack, and a burger—all absolutely loaded with flavor and seriously filling. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the stack was packed with toppings, and the burger hit all the right notes. The ribs looked amazing too—tender, saucy, and falling off the bone—so they’re top of my list for next time. Portion sizes were generous, and you definitely get your money’s worth. If you’re after bold, comforting food, Sugar Rays delivers big time.

Food was terrible ask for fillet steak well done and it was bright red inside . The owner was very creepy towards his staff Will not be back

I absolutely love this place! Food is always 10/10 , huge portion size , flavoursome and fresh! I love the burrito box and the beef burgers are out of this world. The people that work there are lovely! Great place and Is my favourite go-to takeaway!

It took 20 mins for someone to take our order.when we did get it eggs were undercooked sausages were have cooked i overdue large breakfast no hash brown given on the menu it said 2 eggs i got 1. 0 stars
